Am I the only one that thinks this song is a very good representation of abusive relationships and how the other person will hurt you, wound and scar you then they will say that they love you and they need you. Very well done P!nk well done! *nods in approval*
Elements of yandere are also played with in this song. It starts out looking pretty normal, with the boyfriend packing his bags and P!nk trying to keep him from leaving... until the boyfriend slips on marbles at the top of the stairs. The robotic head tilt she does looking down on him just seals it. And from that, madness, violence, and cute little hats ensue. ;) ( I also love how "Harajuku goth" she is in this video. With so much pink, dolls, and stuffed animals. And all of the outfits, especially! )
Yes this song sounds like Borderline Personality Disorder or something similar. This song's lyrics tell a story definitely highlighting abusive relationship dynamics.

It's been ten years since I was in love, and after finally being diagnosed with BPD, I understand why this song used to be my favourite back then, any why she left me. This used to be me.
As a person with BPD..is was also me. Probably why I loved this song as a kid so much! a toxic relationship where both of us was emotionally and mentally abusive. Didn’t even realize i was also a problem.
I believe this song and video represent a couple that is in a toxic relationship. How they fight and always go back together, but at the end one of them has had enough. They live in a rollercoaster of emotions with the other person. We can see that these type of relationships leave both hurt at the end. I can relate. We have all been in one of the psycho relationships once or twice in our lives. I am honest.
I never hit any person I was seeing. Ever... we all do not strike physically. I have been struck. So I became trained to protect myself and my children as well. To prevent it in event it ever halogens again. It also saved me from strangers who attacked me. Best investment. We all may verbally over react at times for sure. I usually 99% of time talked it out. Same with my other half.
How is it possible to be so strong, tough and self-sufficient, yet so vulnerable and human? What an impressive performance...her voice breaks my heart every time! She is FAR from perfect, and daring to show that is admirable...🥰⚒
@@Whiteboytherapper Yep. Really it was the singing and the way she performs that I was getting at, while still having personal reservations about a lot of things too. 👍
People obviously don't get the true message of the song, it's about having abandonment issues. I for example have this problem, so when i think someone is leaving me i try to hurt them. You get into a manipulative relationship this way, a lot of times the person will come back to you once you apologize. It's typical of people have have rough upbringings and were used to people they loved hurting them, so they repeat the same behavior. If you don't get that, be happy that it doesn't make sense to you.
P!nk is such a phenomenal woman, luv everything about her , from her performances to her vivid personality (which is similar to mine n lots of ways) the way she sounds and her raunchy demeanor, she's the best. Love her vids n this song is no exception to that rule, she definitely keeps it real in relationships and luv...u go girl!
She's illustrating in this video and through her lyrics, the struggles of being in an abusive relationship. When they don't want you to leave but don't show you that you have any value in their life
I'm 64 years young; I've been loving Pink front her earliest performances and CDs! She's my role model for life!!! She should be the role model for women of all ages! She's keeping me young, alive, passionate and in-your-face sassy! You rock, Pink! Keep on rockin'!!! For ALL OF US!!! (And nobody better dare to call me old; if you're younger than me, I've been where you are already. Being old is a choice and has nothing to do with numbers or miles on the clock. Trust me)!
Haha the people calling others old are funny and ridiculous, as if they'll escape the inevitable and are protected from time, and funnier yet is that they're clueless on how fast time does go, 25 today and 60 tomorrow. So enjoy, soak in every second and never age, always stay young at heart and in mind, don't lose your sense of wonder or humor and never take time for granted.
And it took me 35 yrs to Understand Need has Nothing to do with Love. Hopefully by my 37 B day this year imma say Farewell Forever to my Emotional Neediness. Time to Reinvent Oneself ✨🦋🧘♂️
I believe this is a good portrayal of abusive relationships...and she portrays herself as the abuser. Showing how people will beg you to come back I don't mean it, oops it was an accident, and I nearly killed you but I still love you. It sends a positive message about a negative situation, especially by putting herself in the abuser's position.
Gaston Diaz It's not that males are the only abuser because that is definitely not true, however they are the more common abuser. They are also the ones most talked about in media so it is an interesting and uncommon choice to see the female in a hetero relationship as the abuser and not the victim.
actually it shows that women and men abuse each other at nearly the same rate. Most abuse goes both ways in where they abuse each other, 50% of cases show this. And in cases where the violence is uni-directional women have been shown to more likely be the abuser, than the victim at a rate of around 2-3% more than men.
I think the violence is just a metaphor. It shows how deeply actions and words hurt someone. To wound a persons heart is sometimes more painful then being hit with a golf club. Oh yea, and the thin line between love and insanity...
Fun fact, while drafted into the army I listened to this song whild driving 3 hours at 4am omw to the base, lol. I just realized it 13 years later. Banger song, brothers.
This song is so nostalgic it brings me back to my childhood where I'd go home right after class just to listen to this song on Myx. I love pink and her songs. It's best. This music is beautiful
this hits different when you have bpd so every single day is a "how is she gonna be this hour and i truly hope this happiness doesn't sink into catatonic depression/fury after one little bad things happens/gets remembered" ---- the patience my partner has is astounding
I was 3 years old when this song came out and I heard it when I was only 9 yrs old, now I'm turning 19 and going to college while playing this song when it's shuffled through my playlist, everytime I hear this song, I just remembered how much love I have for this masterpiece, my childhood was completed when I play this song without knowing the full meaning of the lyrics, I grew up listening to P!nk, she is remarkable. My childhood years was so memorable because of her songs, I really want to thank p!nk for always releasing her songs, I always relate to her songs, and I'm going to pursue nursing, and this song is always my go to. It boosts my confidence and serotin. ☺️☺️☺️
The truthfulness p!nk shares here on abusive relationships is unique, every other song I've heard on the topic has not been this bone chillingly honest and that is p!nks greatest talent in my opinion.
She was also clearly inspired by 'Misery' which is another novel by Stephen King about a women who kidnaps a writer and breaks his legs and tortures him in other ways so he won't leave her. There is a film version with Kathy Bates in.
Pink 'brilliance' every single thing she writes, does...performs....I love every single song she's ever done....they're all phenomenal just like her, her talent knows no bounds and her vocals.....outstanding.....the talent is apparent, this amazing woman sings 'live' unlike many crap singers of today who rely upon autotune etc....Rock on Pink!

Am I the only one who cry listening to this song?
me too
The song was sad but the video was scary as in pink trying to kill him.
Isadora Luiza yes, you psycho
***** ;-;
I do too because this was my grandmothers favorite song of hers, and my grandmother passed away last December.
Her music is with very emotional lyrics with a lively tones ...rock this world with your beautiful songs
Caraca esse Drive que ela tem na voz é a coisa mais linda que existe ....
Vocal perfeito..
Magnífico.
So true Mike.
This song will forever be a comfort. ❤ I feel this song more than anything now that I'm an adult
It's the lyrics which mean a lot in this song!we all strike out and we all must listen too this when we're unable too say sorry
As a man, this video and the support for it scares me.
@@Whiteboytherapper Yes, I understand that sentiment.
@@rooramblingon895 yeah man. But regardless, shes a great artist and I hightly respect her for her talent and outspokenness
@@Whiteboytherapper Yep. Really it was the singing and the way she performs that I was getting at, while still having personal reservations about a lot of things too. 👍
@Roo s racing rambles.Yep,freaks me out when ppl get honest like that.
You can never listen to only one of pink's song. When you start you always find yourself jamming to an entire album
Literally what I’m doing right now
@@dakotahowat Guys I’m in your club right now 🫱🏻🫲🏾
So true
Pinks songs and videos seem perfectly written after the life I have lived😮
Relistening to old Pink musics makes me realize I'm getting old, 11 years ago, I can't believe it is from so much time ago
yep
I still got that song
I know
People obviously don't get the true message of the song, it's about having abandonment issues.
Yep, bpd
Yes I can relate as I was in a relationship with someone who has Borderline Personality Disorder.
Catchy song, I really like some of Pink's tunes. I'm glad she has a happy family life.
wow i loved the song from the very begining and still do now when i saw the video i just thought wwo yep thats definetly p!nk 😃💖
PINK HAS SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC AROUND 🎶 AND SHE'S STILL PUTTING OUT THE GREATEST HIT'S!!
2023 I'm still listening this
P!nk plays psycho killer way too well lol its awesome
Lol Ikr!
***** Lol!

Kyana BLUM kamsutra open
P!nk is such a phenomenal woman, luv everything about her , from her performances to her vivid personality (which is similar to mine n lots of ways) the way she sounds and her raunchy demeanor, she's the best. Love her vids n this song is no exception to that rule, she definitely keeps it real in relationships and luv...u go girl!
Shame her music is so mediocre though
Her personality is also very similar to mine. That's one of the reasons why I love her music.
@@cretinousswine8234 Your opinion, and your opinion only. To me she's one of the best singers ever. Her voice and the lyrics in her songs are spot on.
I have loved Pink's songs ever since in my teenage life and now in my early 30s, they still rock🔥🔥
Now I really feel old 😂
Pink is so beautiful. She is beyond bold with words.
well uhh.. loved the song since release, first time watching the music video tho.. wasnt expecting that..
I know right!?!
I remember I was watching this when I was little (p!nk was one of my favorite artists, still is) and my brother got scared of her from this video😂
Melaniesky 318 🤣🤣😂😂
Lol
he will probably join the navy or work at the wal mart
Give to your brother another song from her 😁😂 FUNHOUSE
Why do you listen and make comments. Let everyone listen that like her.
She's illustrating in this video and through her lyrics, the struggles of being in an abusive relationship. When they don't want you to leave but don't show you that you have any value in their life
True.
I love her music!! Plse plse don't leave me baby!!

Did I hear you love me? Kip inform the men
And it took me 35 yrs to Understand Need has Nothing to do with Love. Hopefully by my 37 B day this year imma say Farewell Forever to my Emotional Neediness. Time to Reinvent Oneself ✨🦋🧘♂️
Finding myself exactly where you are 😓
Sometimes love is a drug and sometimes drug can kill you.
Happy to see you got out of the danger zone 😉
I loved how much fun Pink displayed in her videos when she was first introduced to us
When you're grown up and finally understand the lyrics of the song you heard as a kid. :(
So true😂😂😂😂😂
EXACLY
I'm 7yrs old
You ok?
I know what he mean, when u r (for exemple me) french and u were have 13, and now 24, life it not the same 😭
I love Pink but she makes a great villain.
Shannon F-PA yeah!
This song describes a relationship so toxic. I love it!
Agree!
This was my favourite song as a 10 years old kid.Damn.
I swear pink can act act for real, I always enjoy watching her videos
Música boa e outra história, pode passar o tempo que for que continua perfeita ❤
I agree with your comment. Trust me I really do agree. She was also portraying the role in Misery.
I hope you are not saying this as if only the male in every heterosexual relationship can become the abuser.
Oh yea, and the thin line between love and insanity...
this video is simply smart. P!nk is a genius
Amava esse clipe quando passava na MTV canal aberto ❤️
I love this song as i feel that pushing people away is the only way to be truly happy. I am always wrong. Thank you Pink ❤️
Oh, boy! It resonates with me, another BPD
Do yall want a group chat? Im really trying all resorts to find friends who struggle like me and understand how hard it is.....
@@destinymaxson6113 hey thereeee

Totalement d’accord
This has got to be inspired by Stephen Kings books, the entire video is basically Misery with a touch of The Shining
I saw that too! :D hahahhaha
yeah the video is based on Misery, or more likely the vid was inspired by Misery
Its more of misery then the door scene is from shining
bed of roses
I was thinking Misery and the Dresden Dolls. This has Amanda Palmer written all over it.
damn man i remember when this came out, i had just gotten out of a bad breakup, bringing me back hard
I love the reference to the The Shining movie and how this video can mix romance and horror at the same time.
She was also clearly inspired by 'Misery' which is another novel by Stephen King about a women who kidnaps a writer and breaks his legs and tortures him in other ways so he won't leave her. There is a film version with Kathy Bates in.
I love misery!!!!!!
Nice
Clearly based on Stephen King's Misery
Yeap
Top notch acting from Pink
Pink 'brilliance' every single thing she writes, does...performs....I love every single song she's ever done....they're all phenomenal just like her, her talent knows no bounds and her vocals.....outstanding.....the talent is apparent, this amazing woman sings 'live' unlike many crap singers of today who rely upon autotune etc....Rock on Pink!
my favorite Pink song. 2018. Still listning.
