wow... this is one thing that has me put off a bit about Magento, paying for a payment gateway.. Stripe is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) CC processing out there... $99/149 doesn't seem like much until you add it to all the other add ons you need for magento :P
Yeah, I was surprised too. The common theme that I'm finding right now, is that Magento 2 is still so "new" that there isn't enough competition to bring down any prices yet. I think in another year this will change. I guess though, in the grand scheme of things Magento is aimed at businesses with a high turnover so $149 is a drop in the ocean.
Now that I'm looking back through it though, It looks like I pd for a stripe processor when I did our shop in OC (3-4 years ago). Been looking to change ecommerce platforms, liked XCart, but was missing so much functionality we needed (which of course costs thousands to "customize) that the other carts all had standard. Had been staying away from Mag b/c of it's rep as expensive, but it REALLY isnt THAT bad compared to others, and (for now) seems to be a lot more secure than OC and some of the others..
Hi. I'm creating my own payment module that links to a gateway. How can I get it to be able to refund online. the refund button is not appearing on the credit memo page in the admin panel, only the refund offline button appears.
Hi, I'm facing a problem with my stripe plugin. I've set all my credentials and setting up but the payment solution isn't actually visible on the checkout page. The same is also true for Klarna. Do you have any ideas what I could do or check. I cannot find much online anywhere
If you're having issues with a specific plugin, I'd reach out for the plugin devs first of all. Since I did this video, Stripe have their own dedicated module now which I've not had any issues with. Give that one a go. You'll find it on the Stripe website under the docs.

Creig, "Paypal all in One" does not show for us on Magento 2.3.3. Can you tell us why is that?
PayPall All-in-One options can still be found under the "OTHER PAYPAL PAYMENT SOLUTIONS" heading
