Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen?
Dimash is born in 1994, May 24, height: 1.91m; 6'3 '. He has been training in music since he was 5 years old. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’, having achieved a perfect pitch. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin (dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him). So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, has a perfect pitch.
Experts consider Dimash a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he sings his high notes not as a countertenor, but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.
His current range is almost G0 - D8 (out of piano)! At least, that show us Dimash. 😃
Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities from bass to coloratura soprano are not limited to the enormous range of seven octaves, but it is the incredible control and mastery of his instrument, his voice and the emotional touch of people ... that fascinates and surprises us again and again ... Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian composer/music mogul (worth 13 billion), he wrote this song for Dimash to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Games in Belarus in July 2019.
Remember Dimash said that he was nervous during that performance because his vocal professor was in the audience. He was absolutely perfect as usual. I’m 64 and can’t get enough of Dimash’s performances. I love the performances he does with Igor Krutoy. You can tell by Igor’s reactions how proud he is of Dimash. People say he is an alien. No he’s not. He takes his 20+ years of training very seriously. He does what he loves to do. You never see a bunch of half naked dancers which I love. All of his songs are full of emotion. There is no profanity which I love. Alien, no! He’s the type of talented and humble young man who didn’t take his training for granted. Wish there were more singers like him. I love him so much and have much respect for him just as he has so much respect and dignity that many artists could learn from. He is 100% human and again I wish there were more people like him. 💖🙏🏽🇺🇸

Another great reaction. Igor Krutoy, the renowned Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and promoter, came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He composed this song for him to perform at the opening of the 2nd European Olympic games in Minsk, Belarus, on June 21, 2019. "Olimpico," or "Ogni Pietra," was performed in Italian by Dimash. Ogni means "every, each, or all," and Pietra means "stone or rock." The song is essentially an address to the athletes, exhorting them to do their best in competition, urging them to believe in themselves. The song is a crossover piece with Dimash singing baritone and countertenor in an operatic style while the drums and orchestration are more in a pop or rock style.

I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my UA-cam recommendations for more than a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera, as well as vocal students, and professional singers. I just came across your channel (and subscribed), and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence.
You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." Quite sad really because I am fairly certain that Dimash himself would handle criticism with much more grace and kindness. They would fare well to keep in mind that Dimash is just a man, not God. I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him.
Dimash is from Kazakhstan and comes from a very musical family. He started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master’s class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music". He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career.
Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. It's not just raw natural talent but tremendous work, dedication, and discipline to achieve this level of performance. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far.
He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.
His range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), according to some analysts, spanning across all four registers. As many probably know, the four registers, from lowest to highest are: vocal fry (pulse), modal voice, falsetto, and flageolet (whistle tone), and Dimash seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath and without a break in between. Dimash has even hit a D8 for ~5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during any live performance. He sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), pop, and world music. He uses musical elements, vocal styles, and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, rock (e.g. screams), RnB, musical theater, even rap, as well as Tribal and Middle Eastern styles.

To start, Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian composer/pianist who was retired and saw Dimash and was so amazed by him that he decided to come out of retirement just to write and play for him! Dimash....there is not enough space in this forum to write about Dimash. The only thing I can say is that you will NEVER have EVER heard anyone as great and amazing as he is. You are in for the wildest ride of your entire life! NO ONE performs like him. NO ONE. This was 1st performed for the opening of the European games maybe 2 years ago now. Thus is my favourite performance of it here, for me. As his voice has matured,he now has a range over 7 octaves. Yes 7. Been singing since he was 3 at which time he & his family were told he has perfect pitch!!
This performance is from Dimash's sold out solo concert ARNAU KINETIC VOICE in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan on June 29th, 2019 in frint of 40,000 fans frim 64 countries. 13,552 were international fans that travelled to Kazakhstan solely for this concert. Kazakhstan is in Central Asia....between Europe and Asia. Dimash is EURASIAN. Kazakhstan is the 9th largest country in the world.....wealthiest nation in Central Asia and having a very, very small population. It's a beautiful country with huge modern cities, nomads wild lands with people living in nomadic huge tents, beautiful scenic wilderness......it's a beautiful huge country.
