Just a quick note: if you press Alt + new layer icon, it will open a dialog box where you can name the layer, choose blend mode and (its an option that becomes available in the soft light blending mode) choose fill 50%gray. So in one step you can perform all these options. It saves you time.
I've watched several tutorials on this topic. You explained everything so well and I was able to accomplish the texture on my own portrait. Thank you so much!
My Camera Raw Screen looks totally different than shown. I've tried every PS. My Effects only allows for "amount" no other adjustments (size , roughness not an option). Any ideas?..
Thanks a lot! I am very glad you liked it. It doesn't matter if you work with 8 or 16bit image. You apply everything the same way. This difference is just for you. naturally 16bit images are having more depth to them (often unnoticeable for human eye). I know maybe pro photographer who actually tend to work with 8bit images just because of the size.
Czesc, super wykonczenie. Mam takie zapytanie, Posiadasz moze tutorial do wykonania takiego koloru / tonu skory jaki jest u tej modelki? W wersji angielskiej, jak najbardziej odpowiada. Z gory dzieki
Hej. Nie posiadam poradnika ktory dokladnie pokazuje tony skory u kogos bo to zależy od zdjęcia. Ale w oprzyszlym tyg wychodzi poradnik wlasnie o edycji tonow skory. Zapraszam też na polski kanał ''poznajphotoshop'' :)

Compliments.
Wich way you think is more realistic. This way or filter > texture > sandstone?
Really depending on the image. Sandstone can work well when image has certain size. This one would have more universal use so I like it more.
I've seen quite a few skin texture videos and this is the best! Does it matter if it is 8bit vs 16bit image?
