This may sound a little odd, but if I've had one of those days at work (day cab semi driver) I like to come home and take a few to watch your videos. I find them quite relaxing. To watch you two put rounds down range, besides the learning aspect of it, it really takes my mind off of the day I've had. So, I would just like to say Thank You for both the education and the inner peace. A friend of mine and I have been going to a 900 yard range and having a lot of fun, seeing what we can do with everything we have. Everything from .22's, different rifles, shotguns, even muzzleloaders and pistols. We're not very good with anything but the rifles, but it's a lot of fun trying.
Very impressive 3 shot, impact. Congratulations, brother. 2 out of 5 shots is great, really good grouping. That was spot on wind reading. My dad and I have never shot beyond a mile . Only when we want to check the true ballistic coefficients of a bullet do we shoot beyond 1000yrds. The 7-RUM is an underestimated cartridge for long-range. Along with the 300-RUM and 338-RUM . I think people shy away from the RUM family because of too much recoil. They seem to forget that a good muzzle break can tame even the most savage recoiling monster's .We shoot the 168gr in our 7-RUM, so we have more of a flat Lazar beam trajectory out to 500yrds for hunting. We have the whole RUM family they are all good cartridges. We also have a super magnum family from necking up the 500 Jeffery. They are the 7mm Slayer, 300 werewolf, and 338 Wolverine . In the 7mm Slayer, we shoot the 200gr at 3500+fps with 1/4 MOA accuracy at 800yrds. In the 300 werewolf, we shoot the 250gr at 3300fps and the 338 Wolverine. We shoot the 325gr 3215fps . All 3 have 29.5in barrels, not counting the 6 port custom muzzle breaks. I would like to talk to you about your muzzle breaks to get some hands-on information from you about them . God bless you and your family. Looking forward to hearing back from you. 🇺🇲🇨🇱
I'm in awe, total awe. I've said if before, you do better at 3,000 yards, than I could do at 300. And I was using a Styer SSG, with a Nimrod scope. Still scattered around the target. Awesome.
5:15am and that much light, you all must not be subject to the ridiculous time change we have to do twice a year in the states. Thanks for all the informative videos!
I had a 72" belt sander. I mostly used it in a more horizontal position. I used it for quik stuff...for super fine sharpening i used diamond lapping film. Attached to a polished marble plate...i had as a finest grit .5 and .3 micron. Works with a bit of water. Im not doing much now as I have macular degeneration and my back pain is too much. One last comment the table is way to low. You will be hunched over using it. A heavy wooden work bench is what i used . I made it with 4+4 Douglas Fir. I can look for that super fine film and send you some . Good to see a video again. God bless
Aaaand I suck. I can't help but think there's a number of military ELR shooters taking note of your channel. Rob Furlong & Craig Harrison should be proud. Tragically, Strelok has been banned in the USA. For a number of years. I was wise enough to download it before the ban
I'm afraid I'll have to say AWESOME as well, there's no other word too describe what you two achieve 👍 Your channel's taken me from Air Rifle shooting too 1000yrd 6.5cm shooting 🙂 Can't thank you enough.. Keep on Keeping on 👌
Any predictions about the new Federal 7 mm Backcountry? or more interesting, will we see the Peak Alloy cases offered in other rounds like the 308 or 6.5mm Creedmoor and what could the performance increases be?
It's amazing how well those rounds are grouping at that distance. I wonder how much the spin rate has slowed down by the time they impact...🤔. I'm sure there's some math that's way above my pay grade that would get an answer.
"TYPO" Settings should read 44 mil elevation
Such a long way. I was imagining it must take at least 30 minutes to drive from perch to target. Especially depending on the road directions.
Stunning. 24x24" at 3000y is not even MOA sized, and with the wind I'm seeing this is just exquisite.
cheers Man
The only elr channel to watch
Cheers man, thanks
2/5 at 3000! Outstanding!!
Thanks Mat

Spin does not slow as velocity slows, not how that works, Cheers
omg!
Cheers
I have a feeling you could do that with the 308 😎
