Good info, will be looking forward to courseplay and autodrive mods as they make the "follow me" automated and was managed well in FS22. Then this mechanic should be more tolerable. But ya, I tried to follow the AI a couple of times, I dont have the patience or the time to do that ...gets boring real quick!
Oh yeah it got boring in the first five minutes... I harvested veggies for over 12 hours throughout the video so it's safe to say my patience is thin :)
The spinach isn’t bad. If you reapply fertilizer after you harvest you can harvest it again without replanting. I won’t be doing any of these crops until the Lizard Collosus pack comes out on 25.
Just did my second spinach harvest. Just because i can, i make 60k a month with the sawmill so as long as I keep that thing fed, money is not a big problem, so planted spinage and build a cannery to shove them in. Will take a while to get the money back, but hey having money in a game is pretty useless anyway. 😂 Ps us there an easy way to get rid of those ffing wood chips from the sawmill? Loading it on a baler with my Jung Heinrich gets old quick.
Awesome! It's my goal to grow a farm to the point where I don't need to worry about money. As for the wood chips question, I haven't messed around with the wood productions yet, but I believe the red semi-trailer can hold woodchips If you wanted them... not sure if that helps.
Nice comparison but how potatoes and sugar beets do? Red beets seems interesting since you can harvest them with sugar beet equipment. But then again if sugar beets are better.
@ other thing I was wondering about is if buying products for production in worth it? Ex. You have potato fields and you want to make potato chips but don’t have any of oil needed. If I remember correctly you don’t need so much oil for chips. You buy oil and deliver potatoes yourself. I remember that on hard mode potato chips in FS22 made insane profit.
I am wondering if they ever did a study to see how long the average player stayed on a particular map before moving on. If you only play a map for 5 or 6 years, you would probably be better off leasing the harvesters than buying them. Not sure how to do the math to see how long it would take to make buying optimal.
Yeah, that's been something I've wondered too. Everything is subjective unless there's a real way to calculate costs per year. I will say that leasing a vehicle is usually close to 1/20 of the full price tag, ergo leasing the vehicle for 20ish months AND 20 hours of working with it will equal close to the full price of the machine.
Im only 10 seconds in and ill say that ill prob do vegetable just for fun more so than making money. Its farm sim. If there was a ranked leader board maybe id only do 1 crop
They are not worth it. U used over 1 million in each crop for machinery and another Hugh amount of workers not to men Chen ur time. There lovers because of time envolved.
I think red beets could definitely be worth it as they make a lot of money and can be automated pretty well, but I’ll be sticking with grain crops on my farm.
Cotton is better. Only one expensive special piece of equipment needed. 25k to lease the case. Very limited carting trips. The 58k medium white and challenger will pull the blue 18m planter/ cultivator, fertilizer unit at 6mph with the 225hp upgrade. This combo makes it easy to save money for a big tractor.
Oats with straw gives the most money based on your chart ;) Good video! The spinach you harvest 2 times a year soo its wirth considering :)
Sugar beets are by far the best $ per time in field.
I’ll be checking the other crops as well in another video!
Poplar is borderline broken at the minute, the profit is insane
@@cheesecrackers522how does it need to be sold?
Oats in rotation with grass is the game changer.
I bought some land with carrots and beets on it, thought I woould harvest it. By th time I spent the money to rent the equipment, I lost about 50k.
yes, unless the fields are quite large, you will likely lose money... It's a shame, but it is what it is.
Been waiting for this! 👏
when I want a quick 3-400k I spend a few minutes grinding trees into woodchips to sell
Yes that's a good way to do it!

A test of recutting spinach would have been nice, like to know if it just regrow or it is a less yield
Thanks for the input. I'll try to add that to a later video on the side.

Yes that’ll definitely make things worth it😉

Yep I'm going to check them soon as well!

Agreed! They take a long time to work but they're a great way to change things up!
Why are you using the EU warning sings on your tractor?
Big deal...
@TheHrt5 Bro im just curious because he doesnt sound European.
because it is not an American map
@@leoval3067Oh i thought this is Riverbend Springs.
Yep I’m on Hutan Pentai.
Everything is worth with easy mode 😂 cant game over even if you try 😂
It can definitely be slow to start but you’re right, most crops are worth the time on easy mode. I like to play normal or hard for the extra challenge
If u have animals it takes to much time.
Agreed

Silage is the only thing worth doing
I’ll be checking to see how much more it makes than these crops soon!
