Plot in description.
On a night out with friends, things spin out of control for Shannon when she is raped by a Police colleague. Shannon's never been anyone's victim and she's not about to start being one now so she conceals the assault from the rest of the team.
As she arrives at work, she is assigned to protect Lexie, a pregnant teenager who has become caught up with the wrong crowd. Shannon is not normally one to empathise, but after what happened to her the night before she becomes fixated with saving Lexie, like it will somehow make up for the fact no one was there to save her when she needed it.
As her superiors blur the lines between protecting Lexie and using her as bait, Shannon goes against orders and tells Lexie to run and never look back. Lexie doesn't get far before the Police pick her up again and Shannon is forced to atone for her insubordination by getting Lexie ready to meet her would-be killers. The meeting happens, Lexie is shaken but unhurt. The threat isn't over, but after seeing how the Police are willing to gamble with her life, Lexie turns away from their help just when she needs it most.

Charlie: "You have to convince her to help us"

Shannon: "No one can protect you Lexie. Go home, pack a bag and run!"
Lawson: "Shots fired. Shots fired."
Charlie: "What's going on?"
Shannon: "Just let me do my job"
Lawson: "Reverse, reverse, reverse!"
Joe: "Those blokes are out to kill me, it's the only way to bring them in"
Josh: "By giving them a chance to kill her instead?!"
Charlie: "It's a simple task Shannon, all you have to do is stick a sock in her gob and shove her in the car!"
Lexie: "You can't ask me to do this!"
Joe: "Do you want me to be killed?!"
Lexie: "That's not fair, how dare you put this on me"
Shannon: "I am so sorry he has put you in the middle of this"
Lexie: "I knew what he was"
Charlie: "Shannon, you should be here now"
Shannon: "Go! Go! Run!"
Kerry: "If she's screwed this she's out of this squad!"
Lawson: "Do you realise what you have done?"
Shannon: "Don't."
Lawson: "Do you realise what you have done?!"
Shannon: "Don't!"
Kerry: "Lawson, this is not about poor Shannon and this is not about protecting your girlfriend, this is a major breach of responsibility."
Lawson: "Well we keep her working and she fixes the problem."
Kerry: "What was going through your head that you would compromise this operation?"
Shannon: "What we were putting her through...that was wrong."
Shannon: "They want to try again"
Lexie: "Meet those guys?"
Lawson: "Down, down, put the weapon down!"
Kerry: "We can look after you. We can keep you safe."
Lexie: "You don't look after people, you use them. I don't want to be part of this anymore!"
Kerry: "Put out a missing persons. Until she turns up, we assume the worst."
"Suspect vehicle ahead"
Josh: "Shit"
Lexie: "You can't protect me...not every second, for the rest of my life. Men break things and they don't even realise they're doing it."

Very interesting. Really well done and edited (I kind of got most of the story, except for why the pregnant woman was needed and for what).
Though I am really confused as to how that police officer was raped by a fellow colleague, for a variety of reasons. What kind of rapist becomes a police officer, let alone one that rapes a fellow officer (at a party with other officers)?

Cant believe they e cancelled so no season 5 :( loose ends to tidy up! I also feel like might have missed something...i don't recall any scenes of the attack...maybe a flash back I missed?
@Raptor747 Hey Raptor, thanks for watching it, I know this isn't a show you tune in for. It's hard to understand everything in this video without having seen the show, so let me try my best to explain. The pregnant woman was the girlfriend of a guy who was a key witness in a police case. Because the gang couldn't get to him, they went after her. The police used her as bait to capture the gang members as they essentially wanted them as witnesses too. 2nd reply to follow...

@Raptor747 The Shannon rape storyline is still unfolding as literally this season just started and this is all taken from the first couple of episodes of Season 4. From what we know so far, Shannon went on a night out with some old Police buddies and hers and one of them, a good friend and mentor, ended up raping her. This guy is not a regular character on the show and nobody on her squad actually knows this even happened. The rape occurred the night before Shannon was assigned to protect Lexie
