    Sifu Lok, I found your videos and I am very excited to watch each and every one numerous times. I have learned some Wing Chun when I was younger but I had a big issue following through with things but now that I'm 42 I'm wanting to train and get back into it and I found your videos truly informative. In my location there is no one to learn from if there is a way for me to learn from you I would love to get in contact with you and speak further. I've had a lot of issues physically and mentally throughout my life and to have martial arts back in my life is truly motivating. Having martial arts to help me to overcome the horrible depression that I dealt with years ago where I was almost giving up and taking my own life, is very important to me. It wasnt easy to break that mindset years ago Im glad I did though, Sifu, it was rough on me. To be able to strengthen my mind and body is truly exciting for me. I heard you mention an ancient Chinese medicine but I don't know what that is would love to learn more about that as well. If there is any way you could help me I would truly appreciate it. God bless my friend, thank you for your videos Sifu Lok! - Nick T White

    Great video I recommend keeping the finger lose and slightly bent then straighten the fingers on the moment of impact. Like you said hit through the target. That is my idea not to break your fingers. I recommend hanging a ball from a ceiling. Hit it then it will be moving. So then you learn hit the ball while it's moving. That is the practice recommended by Bruce. I never learned you conditioning techniques those practice techniques are great.

    I was thinking of jeet kun do. The way of intercecping fist. I am older man now. But you know everything works. I been some deadly scraps everything Bruce taught works good. I did a two finger push up but only like twice when I was very focused. You get me motivated to be better or at least as good as was once.

    Sifu Lok: Do you perform two man drill in JKD using simultaneous parry and hit with open hand finger jabs to the eyes target for self defense?

  • @nmr20067
    @nmr20067 5 місяців тому

    Eye gouges, eye jabs, groin kicks can work. But you still have to know how to fight. You’re not gonna kick a Muay Thai fighter in the balls. He’s going to block it and destroy you… and you won’t get close enough to his eyes.
    But to be fair, you did mention to practice the finger jabs and it may not end the fight but opens you up for other attacks. Good video by the way.

    The only thing I disagree with in this video is saying that the finger jab isn't necessarily a fight finisher. If you catch them clean with even a modest amount of power, it's over, trust me. Everything else was spot on though.

    I'd like to see how to train on the wooden dumby that contributes to speed and accuracy I'm assuming tolerance to pain too.
    I'll try this I've always been a fan of Bruce Lee since I was young. (My father loves bruce movies)
    I wanted to learn the techniques but log threw me lemons anyway I love watching these videos

      There are technics I'm sure but I'm a visual person you can't throw philosophy my way and except me to accept it. I too love philosophy.
      Anyway great advise. :)
