The debut was canceled, leaving the four of them with exiting the company. Jieun and Hyorin went on to debut under SISTAR and SECRET. Yooji (Former member of Exid) was contacted by another agency after her departure from JYP- The company was new but promised the support of Shinsadong Tiger for their new girl group in creation, leaving Yooji to join Exid. She was asked to keep an eye out for people in whom be interested in contracting under the company which is where Yooji contacted former traineemate Hani who was in China studying abroad- not only did Hani get contracted but Haeryung and Junghwa, both of whom were fellow JYP traineemates as well. The 3 were accepted putting the groups member count at 4. A month into training Le and Demi were casted into Exid which spiked the debut of Exid! Find it funny that they’re first mini album cover kinda foreshadowed their separation. On the upper photo there were Hani, Junghwa and LE while on the bottom there were Yuji, Haeryung and Hyeyeon. I’m happy Hyelin and Solji were the added members but wish Haeryung also returned. She had something back then, and coming from JYP, she was a star ready to shine.

I'm so glad I got into EXID as OT6. This lineup was perfect and I will ALWAYS love this song. I like OT5 a well, but unlike some I don't regret at all knowing them as OT6 first. LE junghwa and hani was already there with 3 members of bestie they were under different agency like hello venus so when the agencies stopped their collab exid split and solji and hyerin replaed the 3 members
no they were all under the same company but the 3 bestie member left to continue their studies if im not wrong. so solji and hyerin joined the group later on to fill up the group while the 3 other members joined their current company to form the group called bestie:) So it wasnt a collab but this 6 members was the original lineup until the 3 members left to continue their studies:)
Yea that's the official reason the company gave at the time, but supposedly the joint venture that ended like others have mentioned was the underlying reason why the three members "left for academic reasons" but decided to regroup within a year timeperiod....
Basically they were forced to split against their will. The company and the producer of the group had a dispute and split the group evenly. Three had to stay with the company and the other three went with the producer and got to keep the name EXID.

I adore to see those "old" videos of kpop to notice as the fashion changes. There was a time that those clothes were stylish, but nowadays they are consider tacky.
I’m looking back at old EXID MVs since Solji is back and I remember this used to be my jam! I’ve never considered myself as a Leggo since there were a lot of new groups when they debuted and I started to pay attention more to songs than specific groups. But I just realized that I have jammed to every song they have released since debut.
Haeryung could've become so big with EXID T-T... But she really made an impression in Bestie, despite not becoming as famous in that group. Still wishing Bestie would make a comeback after all this time but I know that probably wont happen.

Find it funny that they’re first mini album cover kinda foreshadowed their separation. On the upper photo there were Hani, Junghwa and LE while on the bottom there were Yuji, Haeryung and Hyeyeon.
I’m happy Hyelin and Solji were the added members but wish Haeryung also returned. She had something back then, and coming from JYP, she was a star ready to shine.

I'm so glad I got into EXID as OT6. This lineup was perfect and I will ALWAYS love this song. I like OT5 a well, but unlike some I don't regret at all knowing them as OT6 first. LE junghwa and hani was already there with 3 members of bestie
they were under different agency like hello venus so when the agencies stopped their collab exid split
and solji and hyerin replaed the 3 members
no they were all under the same company but the 3 bestie member left to continue their studies if im not wrong. so solji and hyerin joined the group later on to fill up the group while the 3 other members joined their current company to form the group called bestie:) So it wasnt a collab but this 6 members was the original lineup until the 3 members left to continue their studies:)
Yea that's the official reason the company gave at the time, but supposedly the joint venture that ended like others have mentioned was the underlying reason why the three members "left for academic reasons" but decided to regroup within a year timeperiod....
Basically they were forced to split against their will. The company and the producer of the group had a dispute and split the group evenly. Three had to stay with the company and the other three went with the producer and got to keep the name EXID.
