I'm a big fan of bulgaria, I want to move there, but lately I been seeing and hearing alot about Police brutality in BG? Whats your take on that? Is it safe for expats out there? (Because I seen this bulgarian guy warning people about going to BG after the death of this english man a few days ago.
Imo, police brutality in Bulgaria, excessive force use and generally force use by the police is very very rarely unprovoked. Not impossible but certainly not an issue. If you're a normal well-behaved person, there's little to worry about in that aspect. As a local, I would assume that in some villages there may be problems with minorities. So maybe try to do some research and avoid those. And I am sure Sonny can tell you more as someone who actually moved here.
@@M1ros1av thank you for your answer, I appreciate it. I'm from the UK (and I clearly don't look bulgarian😂, I'm black.) You said you could imagine in some villages there COULD be some issues with minorities. My idea is to buy a house in a village preferably in south bulgaria, so should I check out the area before (if I can), before moving my family there?
@@supremosyndikat8488 You should definitely check out the area. What I meant is that in some villages there are troublesome minority communities. Try to avoid those. Also, have in mind that there are still very few black-skinned people in Bulgaria, even in the big cities. In a small village you'll probably attract the attention and curiosity of the locals. Maybe try to find a village where there are already people from the UK. Afaik they primary try the north region around Veliko Tarnovo or the Black sea shores to the east. But there may be UK communities to the south also. Idk tbh.
@@supremosyndikat8488Hello, i am Bulgarian and i never got beaten from police officers, because i never provoke them.... We are not the most peaceful nation, but we are nice people and we like foreigners, be respectful and nice with the people and you will get easily a lot of friends(we are not racist people, we just say what we doesn't like in some people)... In mine village that i have a house we already have at least 5-6 english families, 2-3 Dutch families, 2-3 Norwegian families and it's near to the black sea... A Norwegian guy rent one of mine houses and we are both happy with that.... I have second house for renovation and i think to rent it also to foreigners and i think that this is the best way when you come to live in Bulgaria ( rent and look how is the live) if you like it look for a house to buy ;) Because i saw many people that they came to Bulgaria, for a year or two and later they want to sell their houses, but no wants to buy it, on another side for 200-300 € you can rent a good house and try to live in that village with contract for one year, you will not lose a lot if you doesn't like the live in Bulgaria or that village... If you have any other questions feel free to ask or leave some contact
Un lugar apacible y tranquilo, no veo que pueda dar problemas, me encanta.
