    The castle of Chambord is a castle built in the heart of the largest closed forest park in Europe (about 50 km2 surrounded by a wall of 32 km long), it is the largest of the castles of the Loire. It benefits from a pleasure garden and a hunting park classified historical monuments. The site first hosted a feudal motte, as well as the old castle of the counts of Blois. The origins of the present castle date back to the 16th century and to the reign of King Francis I of France who oversees its construction from 1519.
    The castle of Chenonceau is located in the commune of Chenonceaux in Indre-et-Loire. It is part of the castles commonly called the castles of the Loire. Chenonceau is built, arranged and transformed by women very different by their temperament. It was built by Katherine Briçonnet in 1513, enriched by Diane de Poitiers and enlarged under Catherine de Medicis. It becomes a place of meditation with the white queen Louise of Lorraine, then it is saved by Louise Dupin during the French Revolution and finally, metamorphosed by Madame Pelouze.     The royal castle of Blois was the favorite residence of the kings of France in the Renaissance. Located in the heart of the city of Blois, on the right bank of the Loire, the royal castle of Blois brings together around the same courtyard a panorama of French architecture from the Middle Ages to the classical era which makes it a key building For the understanding of the evolution of architecture over the centuries. The restored royal apartments are furnished and adorned with polychrome decors of the 19th century, created by Félix Duban in the line of the contemporary restaurateurs of Viollet-le-Duc.
    The castle of Amboise overlooks the Loire in Amboise. Before being attached to the crown in 1434, the castle belonged, for more than four centuries, to the powerful family of Amboise. During the Renaissance, it served as the residence of several kings of France. It was partially destroyed after the Revolution. However, the royal house, the Saint-Hubert chapel where the presumed remains of Leonardo da Vinci lay, the terraces and the cavalier towers which give the monument this singular silhouette remain.
