Dubai Frame is an observatory, museum, and monument located in Zabeel Park, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Construction began in 2013, and after five years, the building opened on January 1, 2018. The total construction cost is estimated to be 230 million AED (68 million USD).
The height of the building is 150.24 meters and the width is 95.53 meters. In May 2019, it was registered in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest picture frame. A “golden rectangle” with a side ratio of 1:1.618 was used.
The construction involved over 9,900 cubic meters of reinforced concrete, 2,000 tonnes of steel and aluminum, and 2,900 square meters of laminated glass. In addition, the exterior façade is clad in over 15,000 square meters of golden stainless steel, the design of which references the Expo 2020 Dubai logo.
The building primarily serves as an observation deck, offering views of old Dubai to the north and new Dubai to the south.
The designer is Mexican architect Fernando Donis, who won the 2008 international architecture competition sponsored by Dubai Municipality. The exterior design is based on the Dubai International Expo logo.
The first floor is a museum, with "The Past Time Gallery'' introducing the history of Dubai and "The Future Time Gallery'' introducing Dubai 50 years from now. The museum uses special effects to create a highly visually appealing experience that transports you from the nomadic fishing and pearl diving villages of the past to 50 years into the future.
It takes 75 seconds to reach the observation area from the mezzanine floor to the 48th floor by elevator.
From the observation area "Sky Deck" on the 48th floor, you can see two types of views: the new cityscape of Dubai with views of Sheikh Zayed Road and Burj Khalifa to the south, and the old cityscape of Deira to the north. At the base, there is a glass floor that provides views down approximately 150 meters into the building's lower span. This space consists of two towers connected by a glass-bottomed frame top, acting as a symbolic bridge between past and present.

Don't really know why - and no offense to anybody - but the more I see about Dubai and the less I feel like I want to go there... All so artificial
Exactly
My mother goes once a year (as a stopover for her next flight, usually has a couple of days.) She says it's like Disneyland for the rich.
@@jonathanlandau-litewski7405Dubai is desperately trying to attract people to the desert without gambling and widespread alcohol - what's left is big buildings and luxury. The only other thing it has going for it is the position as a airplane hub beteeen europe and asia.
Don't come then, we don't need people who don't want to come here...😅
No offence taken 😂
@@suadpolashek6400 people can still have their own opinions about the place though.
National Geographic Magazine 👍👍
Rather than spend money on such junk the government should install a sewage system.
There is reason not to install sewage system. Use your brains.
The reality is it's very difficult to have a piped sewage system in desert cities. The shifting sands play havoc on the pipes, making it extremely expensive and difficult to maintain. That's why most buildings and residents depend on trucks to bring in water.
@@slednaS We have sewage systems in every town and city in America, even in desert cities (yes, we have deserts in America).
So use *_YOUR_* brain and explain to us why you can't do it!!!
We can in 🇫🇮, but why built sewage system If it works like this ua-cam.com/video/5LnDkdgzLk8/v-deo.htmlsi=NyaYEQ7dMNndlwX5 btw. I don't think that soil in Dubai is anything same and like in any very dry areas, water just don't absort good in to the ground and sand what goes with water, make just pipes full of sand.
I am not sure this is worth the money for admission, but what an impressive facade!
🖼 *Amazing architecture and art, and I appreciate how many angles you got of this landmark.* _Thank you very much for sharing! Keep up the great work and content!_
Thanks to your film ! I was able to see Dubai from the most amazing observation deck in the world. This building is a true miracle of architectural engineering !
Absolutely splendid 😊😮
seeing this part of the world..dont know...feels so synthetic
I absolutely love these tremendously imaginative, incredibly designed and built buildings!! Absolutely extraordinarily unique and so much fun to engage with!! Good on Dubai for being so joyful!! Love this video!!
Amazing.
Hermosa ciudad
The aether portal in real life 😮

You create very entertaining content, thanks for sharing
Greaaaaaat building
Wo so ammazing 👍👍👍
I would love to visit Dubai! Maybe one day
Cool view !
Beutifoul
Better view from the sky
Frame was only being constructed when I visited so didn't get a chance to go to it but as odd as it may be, the concept is pretty neat! Great video showing off everything. Will have to consider visiting if or when I get to go back to Dubai.
When we were in Dubai, we visted the big gaint Frame. It was so beautiful!!! The meaning behind the Frame is more meaningful because it represents stepping or walking out of the past of Dubai into the New Dubai As we went into the Frame you can see the history of how Dubai changed from the past to the present. Also as you walk around you can see the view of the cities around the perimeter of the such as Abu Dhabi, Shaidjaih and the old Dubai and you can see right through the floor. This building is such a captivating structure of modern architecture. I really enjoyed my whole stay vacation in Dubai.❤
Evil you just knew the evil meaning behind that .
Impressionante!👏👏👏🇧🇷🇨🇭
Super video si super
Whats the point.
Love your videos buy the way
Maybe you would find out if you watched the video... Something I learned from watching the RHOD is that when you look in one direction out of the frame you see old Dubai and in the other direction you see the spectacularly developed Dubai. $85 is a bit steep. Much taller observatories in NYC are less fwiw.
The people that thought this idea up had to be a square! 😂
It must be so nice to have infinity dollars.
wow
Megus el video
Best months to visit are from November till early March when the skies are the clearest they are going to be all year. Rest of the year, its very hazy from the sand & moisture in the air.
Ohh q hermoso es
enjoy the floods
An amazing tourist attraction, indeed the developed city of Dubai gives a clear indications of no corrupted government.

What a picture-perfect sight! There is no limit to Dubai’s imagination. What they can dream, they can make a reality!

Man, only in Dubai. I think they should put some of this money into building roadside drains, you know, for like flash floods.
Dubai is officially changing its name to “ go big or go home “ 😂
What normal person would want to go to Dubai
✌🏾🙏🏾🐜
It's not a picture frame tho, it's a building. Why is one the Guinness World Record?
Culto a Saturno🧐🤔🤨
Is the Dubai Frame sponsored by National Geographic? And yes, it brought me to its old intro.
"okay so i want to build something big and expensive that will impress stupid people but i dont have any ideas"......
Just a concrete jungle.
Dubai’s skyline is so fucked up 😭😭
Ugly as hell, can’t decide who has worse skylines, the UAE or China lol. Tacky and just doesn’t look right
not gonna lie but a giant rectangle seems kinda useless

It's great.. diversity and all..but a giant picture frame? Err.. yes. Great. 😅

Me, an intellectual: it's the 3D printed version of the National Geographic logo
Interesting. But silly.
It's like giving limitless money to a 5 year old and asking what they want built!
Me want giant square.
Just who cares,,,,lol
Large enough for Mannoroth to pass through.
It's good for children but I'd rather be famous instead 😂😂😂
14 euros for that!!! Never!
There's no picture in that huge frame😂
Hence, it is technically not a "frame" at all.
It’s a giant rectangulation
tuhanku kamu tolongla hantarrrkan kepadanya 🤣🤣🤣
Can you buy a ticket to skip the lines but NOT get the "guided" tour?
You can do this by making a reservation on the official website and getting a QR code in advance.
Dubai is ridiculous These people spend their money on the most ridiculous crap
rather date a rich woman that hates me
you can hear the gold digger in the background
These people have so much money form their oil business, they don’t know what to do with it.
Very strange indeed that someone would want to do such an artificial thing in their country. Take it away and you actually have way better views of the landscape...
anybody came here cuz it was considered to be a minecraft building ?
That’s significantly meh compared to what I thought Dubai would do
😂😂😂😂arabs😂😂😂😂
Only building nothing at all
I’m certain the poor people who starved and died of complications from bad diet were thrilled to know that the money was spent wisely. 🐖💩🇵🇸🤦♀️
One thing I see that wallah I dubai has no real beauty and that's the disadvantage of that high sky view

What a waste , thank you for showing .
I could not watch more than half .
Not worthy .
People build the dumbest BS
Dubai just looks tacky and vulgar.
I get the feeling that the Antichrist will be born there.
Pointless novelty architecture...belongs in Vegas.
A fabulous waste of the country’s wealth😮😮😮😮
