OSU fan here, I just came across the podcast. Good listen, I enjoyed hearing Lendale and Shaun share their opinion. I think it’s great for the Trojans and for OSU and Michigan and the rest of the Big Ten. More big games more exposure is good for all the schools. I did want to correct the record on one thing. The Big Ten distributes more money to its schools than the SEC does currently, discounting the pandemic year because of the disparity in number of games. I’m psyched to finally get the chance to play the Trojans somewhere other than the Rose Bowl. All I’m gonna say is bring it, can’t wait to roll em out and see what transpires. Good luck and I can’t wait till 2024. Oh, Lendale, if you expect to bang in the Big Ten, you best upgrade your lines of scrimmage because your squads right now would be blown out of the stadium right now.
LOLOL USC hasn't been USC for over a decade...It ain't gonna get any better either. UCLA will be a perennial 4-8, 5-7 team...USC 6-6, 7-5. good luck with that.
@@cheswick617 Weeerrreee back baby. Looking forward to playing in the B1G. I've only been to 2 bowl games USC beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl and an average USC team beat Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl. This is gonna be so much fun.
I'm glad Lendale mentioned Iowa, because we really need to see them again after that 2019 Holiday Bowl beatdown. Much love to the kids at UI Stead Family Children's Hospital.🏈✌🏾
As a Buckeye fan I want to welcome USC to the B1G. USC has been an unofficial rival for Ohio State for decades. Those Pete Carroll teams were amazing. Really excited!
See, you understand. Man, trying to explain this to a Duck or Husky is frustrating. They were NEVER our rivals...it was Ucla, Notre Dame, the B1G. These are the marquee names we all love, its a win-win for everyone.
Hey I'm happy being USC Trojans fan joining the Big 10 Conference also glad for UCLA Bruins fans both USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins are great fit for Big 10 Conference
Great to see Lendale. The stories he can tell. Cody was in on the ground floor of the great turnaround, and now…he’s got gray in that beard. Where’s Zeke Moreno these days?
Love to heard from Lendale & Shaun, two Trojan greats from the Pete era. They know what it takes to be a Champion. Met both on campus back in the day, both humble greats✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
🥳 Awesome just came across this show on UA-cam and great to see Lendale. As for the cohost I love the shirt. Btw she is cutie 😍 too and definitely will start watching the show moving forward. Thank you for having Cody I love that dude too! ✌🏼❤️💛 I can’t wait too see SC in the Big House & The Horseshoe too 💪
Usc is apart of my life grow up down the street was a ball boy for Coach Robinson when Marcus Allen Lynn swan August curly remember taking Keyshawn up there as a kid making him run across the middle on the baseball field fight on!!!
USC isn't going to play @ Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State very often. USC needs to turn the west division around. We'll see you in the championships rookie.
There is 100 teams that would do better in the b16 10. the B16 10 needs a leader that will bring up the west. The winner of the B16 ten gets a golden ticket. No need to have a double or nothing championship. Lets don't bury each other in October.
the west is plenty tough. Nebraska can beat anyone. Wisconsin and Minnesota are good teams. If USC can beat them 3 in the same year, you're having a great year.
Bring that same energy White!!! When your in a cupcake league like Pac12…ain’t the same when you grind against BigTen teams all season. I can’t wait for a night game at the big house against USC.
You are right I went to see the Rose Bowl in 08 where USC beat Michigan, then in 2015 (?) Holiday bowl where USC beat Nebraska and that was a mediocre USC team. Sorry, I have only been to 2 bowl games.
Sad news for ya...that's gonna change when you play B1G teams week in week out & year in and year out. Let's wait til USC is 5 years in the Conference and then check yo records.
Helton killed the fan base, e-mails couldn’t get him fired so some alums hired a plane to tow banner to fire Clay. I admit to gave up my booster membership but have signed up again at a higher level
USC has a great winning record against big10 : 69-29-2 70.42% in bowl games 19-11 that’s 63.33% & 18-7 in Rose bowl 72% but that game is in there back yard so it home field advantage . I can say the same for OSU they are 62-27-2 69.66 % winning all time against Pac12 & 11-7 at 61.11% all time in bowl games & 9-7 at 56.25% in Rose bowl and most of those loses were USC or UCLA that virtually home games for them by number they are a mirror of each other only Rose bowl USC hold the edge but they should on where game is played . USC leads series 13-10-1 the 09 game both defenses were tough USC won 18 to 15 and a Rose bowl game USC won 17 to 16 and the one tied game so the series could have very easily been tied , so watching the two team meet a lot more often in a season is gonna be awesome they will be great games and hyped up can’t wait .
You're living in the past...those days are long gone. USC has enjoyed home field advantage for many years playing a lot of 7-8 home games per year...Not gonna get that home cooking anymore. so is Lendale White
Len don't count your chickens before they're hatched. Don't be disrespecting the Big 10. If you think you're just gonna roll over these teams like you sorta did playing in your own backyard, you are in for a rude Awakening. Ask Penn State. Everybody thought the same thing and they either lost or had their a*ses handed to them a number of times. It most certainly hasn't been the cake walk PSU thought it was going to be or what you are beating your chest thinking it is going to be. Ann Arbor or East Lansing or Columbus isn't the Rose Bowl where USC owns the refs and plays in their own back yard. (btw check USC's record at Spartan Stadium as well as their record the 1987-88 season vs the Spartans). All the original teams raised the level of play when Penn State and Nebraska entered the league. And don't think they're not going to use some of the things you said in this clip about "beating up" on Big 10 teams for motivation. *Also check out the paint job in Iowa's visitor locker room.)I am sure you will have great teams as is USC's tradition. But when you travel East you will be like Dorothy saying to Toto "...not in Kansas anymore" when you say "I don't think we're in we're in the Rose Bowl anymore."
The overall record against the Big 10 is irrelevant it's a different ballgame when you're going to play a Big 10 schedule you have 5 to 6 road games EVERY YEAR the rest of the Big ten teams only have to worry about coming out west once every other year not good for SC
The Big Ten will try to schedule it so that the rest of its schools will have to come out once every year by alternating USC/UCLA on the schedule so one is played in LA and the other at home.
USC and UCLA made a huge mistake... A win for football maybe.. and probably not. traveling across 3 time zones to play Rutgers and schools in the midwest? good luck with that. other non football sports will suffer too.. all the travel across time zones is going to weigh heavily not only on athletic performance but also academically for student athletes. USC and UCLA will lose a lot more than they gain...30 million more per year in TV contracts? not going to really move the needle in a university budget... they did not really think this through very well.... and at the end of the day it's going to be about academics, fund raising and growing your graduate programs.. not football. my bet they will come to regret this move.
@@usctrojans1626 I think it is... hasty football centric decision... this may very well NOT work out for USC.. all the travel not only for football but for other sports is going to take a toll. Bottom line my bet is Stanford, Cal, Wash and Oregon and the rest of the PAC 10 stay.. so the USC and UCLA travel schedule will be BRUTAL and remain so without these other Pac 10 schools. this only works IMO if the Pac 10 dissolves which is why USC and UCLA moved together. it is going to be a miscalculation on their part.
@@ml9557 If the Big Ten maintains its divisional format, the travel schedule will not be as brutal as people think it would be. Everyone brings up Ohio State,Michigan,Michigan State,Penn State, Maryland, and Rutgers for road games, but it would be in the Big Ten's interest to build up its western division by putting the LA schools there where they can play 7 divisional games out of 9 conference games. Take out the crosstown rivalry game between USC and UCLA and that means 3 games no further east then Chicago and one additional long flight to play a Big Ten East team on the road.
As a Michigan/Big10 fan, I'm thrilled about these two fantastic programs joining the conference! And yet, for some reason I can't seem to shake the word jet-lag out of my mind. (But who knows, by then maybe the genius Musk will have built a passenger jet that can fly from LA to New Brunswick in 20-minutes, and which might help negate the syndrome.)🏟 🏟
The smart move would be to limit the amount of trips to the Big Ten East for the LA teams. The Big Ten East is loaded and doesn't need the injection of star power USC (and UCLA to a lesser degree) would bring. That star power would be better used building hype in Madison, Minneapolis, Lincoln, Iowa City and Chicago, vs Ann Arbor,Columbus,Happy Valley, and East Lansing.
