I so much enjoy, and use, your videos.! I’m 58 and lived with scoliosis all of my life..I want to keep going and moving! I especially like your teaching method!
Reva Nelson That’s hard to say..it definitely helps! But I do wish I had found this earlier in my life..I’m 58 and have had a Herrington rod and fusion, for 6 or 7 years..It has helped with my strength and stability..she is an awesome teacher, but I have such a left- sided hump that probably will never go away, no matter how much yoga I do. I’m just glad for whatever relief I can get..hope that answered your question!
i just love what you're doing you're just improving people's lifes just by doing 10 min videos and that is very humanitarian from you . Humongous thanks to you ❤
Thanks for the short video demo on the C curve. My 85 year old mother has sciolosis and I wonder if there is an appropriate video for her to exercise to to improve her posture and ongoing aches now that she could barely walk a few hundred metres without feeling the soreness. I can send an x-ray over but I reckon it is a C curve on the lower back. Thank you.
Many thanks for your prompt reply. Yes she can still get up and down on her own. Her constant soreness has virtually hampered her movement around the house and she is on painkillers which in principle I object. I was told she needs to build up her muscles to improve the situation.
Samuel Kian Khiong Chai let her get started with some general gentle practices like this ua-cam.com/video/co9XoryLCYk/v-deo.html if she enjoys it she can start to get into more specific practices to suit her curvature. I would recommend taking a few sessions with a qualified yoga teacher at least to begin with. If that’s not an option I also offer 1:1 sessions via zoom but see how she gets on with my videos!
Thank you very much. I will get her to try based on your video and to see if she can get a local yoga teacher. Failing which your last option can be considered.
Hello - so the back of the C is towards my left. The top of the C is my right shoulder. I don’t feel anything when I lay on my left. I think I’m confused
Hi! I enjoyed the video so much. Thank you for this useful content! I wanted just to make sure, could discomfort in the lower right side of the stomach muscles be connected with left thoracolumbar scoliosis? visually, my right side of the body goes towards inner side, right hip up, while right shoulder is lower than left. Thank you 🙏
Great videos on scoliosis. I have a left TL curve but rib cage is tight on the left too. SO convex TL to the left and convex to the right around T7. I have a feeling i have been doing lot of side bending to the right to relieve ribcage tightness on left and hence developed a convex around TL on the left. Would it be easier to focus on correcting the TL curve beacuse trying to stretch the ribcage seem to affect the TL as well.
tricky one! It's hard for me to give personalized advice like this but I would work with the primary curve first. Also make sure to add strengthening work!
Hello! My C curve is going to the right, but my left rib cage and right shoulder blade stick out. I was wondering if the twisting of my spine is the same as the example you're talking about in your video? Should I follow your tutorial exactly or should I change it somehow to match my curve? Thanks!
MrChannelforwatching with a c curve it always depends on where the curve is exactly and where the rotation is. If you have an xray and are sure that the curve is convex to the right (sounds like it is) then you can follow the instructions
curves are usually called by their convexity! So make sure you're certain about the side. If the concave side is on the right I would sleep on the right side
I have 33° curved to the right and all I hear is nothing can help it go straight again. If I constantly do your exercises, could it straighten up or just help reduce pain?
Can you still perform these stretches if you have had spinal fusion? I had a Harrington rod implant and then removal of implant (a couple of years later). I am now in my sixties. Surgery was performed when I was 20.
it depends how dedicated you are I guess. Both Schroth and Yoga have been proven by studies to improve structural scoliosis. I personally don't focus on straightening my spine. I focus on feeling good in my body in the long term. I want to be able to enjoy living in my body when I'm 99 years old :-)
@@MoveWithScoliosis and especially for the 2nd pose (all 4's) . The right hand turns out. How much it turns out relative to the arm is not visible. And Also the left then to compare to the right.
Mariam Amen do you know how to treat scoliosis on neck cause i feel my neck turn towards the right , i couldnot lie on my right side or even lie on my back , i feel stuck on my throat ,if you find out the way to treat plz share to me , thank

cindy haddock. So has the exercises help eliminate the pain? Because I also have scoliosis and just beginning the yoga exercises. I’m 52 years old.

Hello I'm aslo Suffering from scoliosis.. but I am also having sciatica problem. can you please show some yoga for scatica..
I don't think I've made a video about sciatica but will certainly add it to the list!
can i use a pillow instead of the yoga block
wahmen who eats ramen do you mean for the second pose? A book will probably work better than a pillow...
I have a 30 degree curve can it go back to normal or I’ll live with this for the rest of my life ?

If you're an adult you can maybe reduce it a little bit but there will always be some amount of curve. Shouldn't cause you any problems though!
I have thoracolumbar dextroscoliosis. Can I reduce my rib hump?
Is this exercise for c skoliosis on left side???
Think about creating length in the concave side!
Can you still perform these stretches if you have had spinal fusion? I had a Harrington rod implant and then removal of implant (a couple of years later). I am now in my sixties. Surgery was performed when I was 20.
Patricia English the second one yes! The first one you might have to lower the support a little. Go with what feels good for you!
What can we use if we don’t have yoga block?
a book?
if looking from the back my spine is curving toward the left is that a right thoracolumbar curve?
when we talk about right and left we mean the convexity of the curve
Is this ok for dorsolumbalis? Im confused about the names
dorsolumbar is the same as thoracolumbar
I have mild scoliosis
Im from pakistan n im suffering from lift side scoliosis I'm 32 year old n i can't stand up without help even from sofa is this exercise help me
I can't comment without knowing more about your specific case. Practicing standing up from the sofa without help might be a good place to start!
I do not know that my key part is scoliosis, I send my back pic on Instagram please watch and tell me..........!! 🙏🙏🙏

I have the Same problem 😢😢😢😢
hope this video helps!
Timing for this exercise??
That depends on you and your body!
Can you please move the sub titles out of the way?
done! Thanks for your feedback.
Good after noon madam.
Madman I don't know you have noticed or not your typing is on your body so I can not see what you want to explain.
SURENDER SINGH you mean when you have the subtitles on?
@@MoveWithScoliosis correct the subtitles overlay over your hand positionings etc.
I wonder can the be moved to the top?
