I agree, but I also think Sisely treasure gave a new twist on the band for 'Season Of Poison'. She got such bad credit, yet she gave some kick-ass vocals on songs like 'When Did This Storm Begin?' and 'Ghost Town'.
this song is really so beautiful. i love that all of shiny toy gun's songs have the most brilliant melodies. really the melodies you can really feel in your heart. their lyric's touch me in a way i can't describe too. they will always be one of my favorite band's and i really hope i can see them live someday. keep it up stg. you have inspired me so much and your music makes mine and a lot of people's life easier through struggles and blissful when we are happy.
While I feel "Waiting Alone" is a great song, I can't help but anticipate the release of "Speaking Japanese" Based off of the live performances, it sounds like Le Disko 2.0! I am glad "Waiting Alone" was released as the first single though. It is a great song that just shows off how beautiful Carahs voice is.
With Season of Poison, they took a leap and changed their sound drastically, but, they thought it was too much of a change, and they go back to the same stuff they've done for years...I thought "Yeah, ok, I can understand that" but this new song has no direction to it, it's pap, it sounds too fabricated to STG, there's no soul in it. What happened?
I agree, to an extent. I dig the song but I wouldn't have picked it as a single. I guess my expectations were too high after "Major Tom" and "Rocketship 2010". Those songs were a return to the original sound after Season of Poison, and a few of their best, IMO.
It's weird, but I think you guys could've released a better song to be the lead single off of III. It's still a good song, but I just feel that there are many better songs off the album that would've worked better as the single. But oh well, that's just me bickering. Can't wait for the new album!!!

I can go on and on about The Shiny Toy Guns. I listen to everything from IAMX to Marillionn and the STGs always make me smile and feel great. One show I had backstage passes and talked with the band when they finished playing. I told Carah that my daughter and her friend turned me on to the band so she went out into the crowd, grabbed my daughter by the hand and brought her backstage and hungout with her for maybe 20 minutes. I don't think a dad can do anything cooler for his daughter than that.
The lyrics aren't so deep or great, but the way this song was created and carried out...it's amazing. I LOVE IT! Carah's voice is just heavenly, beautiful, and is back where it belongs. Can't wait for the album to drop!
