I wonder how much of Gorillaz has turned into lost media that we don't even know about. I guess that's just an inherent problem to a project like this.
I got into Gorillaz in Phase 4 and remembered going through like 40+ videos of interviews on UA-cam. Came back a bit for The Now Now and I felt like the numbers were significantly less. There's the 11 minute video of Murdoc + 2D puppets that's no longer available. I can't imagine how much has been lost before I even got here
This is my favourite interview cause firstly; Murdoc is sober and we all know sober Murdoc is the best. Murdoc being the cool uncle like he is. Secondly, Murdoc is not bullying 2D. Murdoc even helped him through out the interview. 3:37 and 4:10 Thirdly, the chemistry in this interview is so adorable even though they almost break their character. But it sounds natural! I LOVE THEIR LAUGHTER ESPECIALLY
@@Strawberry_Cinnabonof course by this point he has somr sort of care for him but back ehen this was recorded he sort of just saw him as a disabled object
I had never heard this interview before and this was honestly the best one. You can tell it wasn't scripted and it really feels like 2D and Murdoc being their random selves and they all seem to have genuine fun along with the interviewer. Thank you so much for uploading this gem!
@@velvetvanillabean then how come he said he had 6 other people in the relationship? Ik she was cheating on him as well, but idk, was he also cheating?
I've never heard about this one before! Thank you so much for uploading this interview! It is so nice to hear the real interactions between the interviewer with 2-D and Murdoc (not like the iTunes Session interview), they almost breaking out of their character several times, and it is great to hear the interviewer is too overwhelmed to control his laugh and keep them on the track.
man i haven't listened to this interview in at least 8 years, yet can still remember it SO well, I used to quote it a lot back in the day haha. glad I found it again
I love how Paula can cheat ONCE and forever have that reputation, while 17:35 exists and everyone is STILL saying "oH nO oUr PoOr BaBy BeAn!!" So stupid
He's saying that she would bring the other members of S Club 7 everywhere, so he felt like he was dating them too. They literally say as much in the interview
When did this happen, exactly? I mean, if Demon Days was released, then it means that the "El Mañana" was already out, so Noodle had already disappeared, and 2-D and Russel went their own ways right after that, if I'm not wrong I'm still have to catch up a bit on the lore, so I'm just asking
I’m no lore expert but judging by how they talk about ROTO (rise of the ogre) in this interview, means it’s been released. I’ve read ROTO and it details the El Mañana incident, so by the time this interview started - Noodle had disappeared. 2D and Russel do leave after El Mañana, so as for how this interview fits lore-wise, I can’t really answer that. Given this interview is improv, I don’t think much thought was really put into it lore-wise. Also, just a tip, the music videos don’t coincide with the date the album itself is released. The music videos are only shot after the album’s released, mostly. Again - I’m not a lore expert, but I’d recommend giving ROTO a read if you haven’t already
@@ayumiishida5862 No prob! Just thought I’d give you a heads up if you do read it though, it’s got some edgy stuff in it (not a lot but it’s still there) so do watch out for that. Different times an all Have a nice day
@@lefthandgorillazmethod7180 then what do they mean about the "after all we've been through" and "lovely to witness the bond between you after all thats happened"
@@Nibbliess100 Not entirely sure?? Tbh this interview came out way before Plastic Beach was conceived, so it was kind of up in the air if there was ever going to be another Gorillaz album after Demon Days. The interview aired around October 2006 to promote Rise Of The Ogre, so yeah things were kind of on a cliffhanger for the project at this point.
