Poor Croatia. They come back after not competing for almost a decade and get the worst overall score in all of JESC. I hope they come back someday to try and make it right.

Vincenzo was the only male singer... that helped him win for sure. His voice is top notch too
Jesc got such a big glow up in 2014
Vincenzo had a great voice, but I don't think the song was that good. Would have liked to see Bulgaria or Armenia win instead. Cyprus was my personal nr. 1

Italy's song that year was... fine. I think it's an acceptable winner and it's also nice that Italy has a JESC victory under their belt, but it's safe to say that there was better. My personal favorite that year was the host entry: Malta!

What were Croatia thinking that year sending that girl? She was so flat and only picked up 1 point (if you exclude the auto 12 rule at the time). Very good edition - Bulgaria, Armenia, Slovenia (I know she was a bit nervous), Belarus and Serbia had the best songs. Italy I can see how it won with the boys vocals and being the only male, but there were better and it was a strong edition. I think the public got it right choosing Bulgaria as the winner. San Marino could have worked, but none of those girls were in tune, even Anita who went to ESC a few months later.
She actually has a really good voice if you check out her recent singing is just that . That song wasn’t for her. Im talking about Josie
The thing with Josie is that she sings opera I believe, so Game Over wasn't song that fits here and HRT are the ones to blame. Also even without that fact, the song is messy and bad. Her being nervous didn't help either.n
My favourite jesc together with 2018
I think Georgia and San Marino were underrated.
So Italy won JESC on their debut year and then they went on to win the adult version in Rotterdam seven years later.
This was a great year!
The best Junior Eurovision. Afterwards, it started to go downhill.

Belarus 🇧🇾: original song! it sounds good
Bulgaria 🇧🇬: the best ballad of the year☺️ really powerful
San Marino 🇸🇲 (6.5/10): not a great harmony at all tbh but the song is ok
Croatia 🇭🇷 (4/10): worst vocals and average song. the performance totally destroyed it
Cyprus 🇨🇾 (9/10): really good balkan pop song! I love Cypriot entries in Jesc because they’re sooo entertaining😌
Georgia 🇬🇪 (8.5/10): iconic pop song😍 but not as good as other songs
Sweden 🇸🇪 (9/10): they sent THIS pop song❤️ idk why but i really felt it and it was my favorite of the year. criminally underrated
Ukraine 🇺🇦 (6/10): it is so weird🤨 not my cup of tea but the vocals were ok
Slovenia 🇸🇮 (8/10): very underrated as well😔 it’s a great ballad
Montenegro 🇲🇪 (6.5/10): vocals weren’t on point but i like this type of songs
Italy 🇮🇹 (8/10): he was the only boy of the contest and his vocals were so so good😊 the song could have been even better (didn’t deserve to win though)
Armenia 🇦🇲 (9/10): quality as always! a really refreshing, childish and ethnic song
Russia 🇷🇺 (8.5/10): i love this ballad but it stars to bore me after few listenings
Serbia 🇷🇸 (7.5/10): it’s not great but it’s not bad as well. it’s just a good song imo
Malta 🇲🇹 (8.5/10): very different from others. her vocals were extremely good and the song is so special! but opera isn’t my cup of tea unfortunately

2014 was MUCH stronger than 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010...
This year was the "revival" of JESC, when a lot of countries returned / debuted, and the level of the songs was really high.
How Italy won? Well... he was the only boy competing, and he performed well. So I can understand it somehow.
But how the hell Bulgaria finished so high??? Krisia was out of tune most of the song, they performed early in the running order, and there were better ballads (One of them won).
And how Sweden finished that low? They had everything to do well: catchy song, good singer, well-done performance... But everything could've been better.
