Diesel John Boat

Chinese Diesel mud motor in a 12 ft John Boat. For those who want to test it out as well, it was only able to turn a 7-inch prop the 9 was too big. It didn't have a lot of rpms. But it did have compression in the motor, and was reliable to start up.

Nice work.
Years ago i installed a f186 diesel in my mudboat,14mph and rolling coal.it was awesome,cheap on fuel.
It was a standard inboard mudboat,not a transome mounted mud motor.

Did you have to change the drive coupling. From what I remember there didn’t have the standard interfaces to the drive shaft.

Does the motor have a governor? If so. Remove it

212 did 12 mph the diesel gets like 8. If you did diesel definitely get the bigger diesel motor
