My frend:I really appreciate your work helped me to encourage me to solve a problem with channel 15 that stopped moving three months ago. I open the X32, and I just pushed the gear on the motor shaft and back to work. Here in Argentina we don´t have a complete service from Behringer, so the choice is to pay some expensive freight (I'm not in the "big city") and service for an uncertain results. Really grateful
Markus, thank you for your work in videos like this. Many of us, myself included, are quite capable but simply terrified of opening up such a valuable device like the X32. The fear that I'll cause any sort of damage simply by opening something up often keeps me from even trying. You've saved me (and others, I'm sure) from that fear!
Hi John, I also have that feeling that i'm not allowed to look into an item that I own and paid good money for. Its feels like the manufacturers will know and send the heavy guys around to sort you out. as long as there is not one of those awkward warranty seals on there then I will at least have a look inside, OK if you start unplugging things and going at the components with a soldering iron then I guess its only fair that warranty becomes void. but most of what I have learned is from taking things apart. anyway thanks for your message. Im on the lookout for the next item ;-) from markus
As David Hobbs would say, "that man has very large attachments." Dude, I was terrified from the undoing of the first screw... and rooting for you all the way. Thanks for this, it was more thrilling than an episode of "Homeland." Good on ya' lad!
Good job Markus! Never fails to amaze me that a little spot of solder fixes most problems, as you know simply taking stuff apart and putting it back together sometimes does half the job too!
Hi Kevin. about 50% of repairs is just solder jobs or loose wires etc. I was kinda hoping to make this video longer showing more around the inside but was eager to see if i had fixed it.
Wow that is one hell of a nasty way of constructing that device. Props to Behringer for using real fiberglass PCBs instead of paper-based PCBs, though. really goes to show how much money goes into producing these things then again, normally when it's put together, it doesn't have to be taken apart ever. Just needs to be solid and as wear-proof as possible
Thanks for the video, I had an XLR barrel stuck in input one after last nights gig and was a bit hesitant about opening the case, but it is pretty straightforward and actually Behringer have designed the Compact to hinge open without having to disconnect anything. Barrel freed and locking mechanism now repaired :-)
Thanks so much for this! This repair totally worked for me on my x32 many years ago. The LED in the scribble strip is still going strong with the unit turned on nearly 24-7 for many years. This fix also worked on an X-Touch Extender. Exact same problem, one of the color channels went out on the LED. Heating it up with a soldering iron and reflowing a tad bit of solder fixed it in both cases. Not sure if the LEDs just need a bit of heat to fix the channel, or if there were issues with the original surface mount soldering. this fix did it on both occasions.
You said at 10:13 that the components were "flowed" onto the PCB, then you try to correct yourself in a written manner. What happens is that you end up describing a *reflow process*. You were almost right! ;)
Till this issue the board has been an awesome addition to our work flow. Our control room is elevated and in another room, so the wireless remote features have been priceless.
Thanks for sharing. I just put a X32 in the shop. All the motor faders stopped working. I hope it is just a power supply issue, or a cable slip. We have had it for 15 months or so. It is used in a house of worship with 4 sound engineers. Lately, a musician has been using it while holding singing lessons for new praise and worship singers. We were using firmware 2.06 for about two weeks when we noticed last Sunday the motors were not working. The faders if moved still send communication to the brains of the board. We can still use ipads/ PC's and Androids to control the board. Hoping for the best. We tried power cycling, firmware step back and then returned to 2.06, factory reset and so on. Behringer Tech Support said they have never heard of that happening before, "congratulations!"
Thanks for posting a video on how to get in and repair this board there are so many little issues that should not require sending it back to get it fixed. I just did a repair on my board tonight before I found your video. Had a stuck EQ mode button With shipping it would have taken well over a week to get it to behringers repair shop and back. I don't have that kinda time. I was quite happy to see how easy it was to get in pull the single board and get to the button. I was even happier to find that the button was only getting stuck because they did not put enough of there plastic lubricant on it i tossed a little non conductive plastic safe lubricant on it just a tiny amount ant that took care of the whole problem.
Hi BPP SoundBoard. I was also surprised at how easy it was to get inside and the fact there was no (VOID IF REMOVED) warranty sticker anywhere. my problem happened on day one but there was no way i was going to take it back until i had a go myself. I'm curious as to whats inside things so i'm kinda glad there was a little problem on the mixer as thats gave me the excuse to get the screwdrivers out :-)
I love the comment at 09:50 saying "if that doesn't work then.........we will just have to live without it." Well yes he will because if he had not tampered with it then he could have sent it back to get fixed for free lol
Nemix Ltd. last mixer I sent to the shop cost me big bucks to ship (even though it was a warranty repair) and I didnt see it again for almost 4 months. He took the better road and learned a thing or two.
Love what you're doing. Found you through the Prophet 12 video. I love getting inside gear, but I'm not nearly as experienced & knowledgeable as you, & thus not as adventurous either. Great work, & very happy to find your channel!
Hello Novosti. Thankyou very much. I Think its nice to see what inside these instruments and see what it takes now to make them tick. I always took everything apart when i was a Kid and sometimes I put things back together but not always in the correct order :-) Best wishes from Markus
I also have this exact problem, but on channel 13. No red. I notice Full Compass has a lot of repair parts for this board. I'm thinking stocking up on a couple spare faders/motors, encoders, scribble strips, etc.
Had a chance to learn (I.e. thrown into the fire) this board a few weeks ago. Loved watching this repair! Was a pretty good board and loved the aux delays. Fairly easy to intuitively figure out. Some of the routing options could have been made easier/ faster though.
+ISMAIL OMAR (ISH3000 BEAT-MAKER) Hi Ismail. It was not always like that, I use to take things apart when i was a kid and they did not always work afterwards. best wishes from Markus
+markusfuller yeah we all started out like that.... Except after a certain point, we either got scared (damage the equipment even further and void that nice but worthless warranty) OR just lazy at prospect of opening something as massive as that... And then having to put it all back together again... In the process - ending up with extra screws 😂😂 Thanks for the great vid... Ps: are you a recording artist or sound engineer??
Hi Ismail, I guess i'm more of a recording engineer. I make music up occasionally but I never think its any good. but I have fun and thats what matters to me :-)
Thank you so much for this video. Great to see inside this incredibly desk. I hope you do more videos soon. But do it in 720p to have more to see. thanks again
Hi Markus, I've got an x32 with channels 8-16 and 24-32 inputs aren't working. I can send phantom power to them and the LED indcation lights up. However, there are no signals coming in. Could it be that there is a loose connection with a ribbon strip or is there something faulty with the the board? Hope to get you advice on this. Thanks in advance!
+alroy Hi Alroy. Im truly sorry but I do not think I can help with this. I doubt there would be a loose ribbon strip as the xlr inputs are directly soldered onto the boards inside. I know you may have tried but how about a factory reset just incase the gates etc have been set too high for those channels maybe ?. other than that I sold my Behringer a while back as i needed something smaller on my desk. sorry about that , best wishes from Markus
Great video! Thanks for your good work. What kind of the main display port inside? is it possible to connect an external screen for bigger monitor? The screen of X32 producer is too small for me..
Hello Markus I have a brehringer x32 that has earphone output and also the screens of the first panel of potentiometers does not work .... I need your help please
Damn, you have all my respect to do what you do, thanks for publishing the video :) I only add that some of those small screens have a different brightness already from new mixer at least as far as I am concerned with what I have found on the one I have, 1 or 2 result with a slightly weakened brightness, but by adjusting the brightness settings you can correct a little the problem but obviously remains.
Nice video. I would be concerned about voiding the warranty. Are there any indicators inside the case that will show you have opened it? Foil strips for example? Thanks.
Hi David, There are NO warranty stickers anywhere. I did have to pull off a bit of glue from some of the headphone sockets so i could unplug them. but thats all. best wishes from markus
Man you the Man Bro..I was getting nerves out here when you took that thing apart..But thanks for showing us this cool video and we got to see the inside of this amazing Mixer..thanks
Hi. I had some RGB leds that could have used for replacements but they were much larger than the ones in the mixer so I guess they would have worked but would have been a different brightness. still I'm pleased I managed to get the thing going with the original part.
Do you remember what capacitors were in this? Really like the features but fear re-capping this beast in a few years once normal shitty behringer caps die.
Great work! I have the exact same problem on one of my LCD's under the programming knobs. I've had the problem since day one. I won't be doing what you did in this video. I would undoubtedly make things worse. You are very talented!
Hi Jeff, Im sorry to hear you are having this problem. there has been 4 people now who have told me about incorrect colours showing up on their displays.
Thankyou. I want to do a full stripdown of the mixer but am waiting until I have a whole day free. but I will do another video inside the mixer as i want to see more myself.
markusfuller You're amazing! You just rip it open and make it work! I can't even come within 8ft of something like this without breaking it!. You're an absolute legend! You got my Sub!
Hi Markus! I want to repair it by myself too and I was wondering about the watts of the soldering gun, should it be a low watt gun? I have the problem with the LED's from 9-16 and 25-32 channels but they don't show icon & text, just the color and invert color button doesn't work too. Could you tell me a little tip and some cautions please? I'm not from USA so I can't even send it to a repair center.... hope u can help me buddy :/
I'm afraid that's a larger issue that isn't so simple :( But as to what to use, he uses a temperature controlled soldering station here, it's a basic Chinese clone of the old Hakko 936, well it's not an exact clone, but the tips are compatible and they look similar, and it's likely specified as 50W or 60W. The way you work with a temperature controlled station, you turn it up slowly until it can melt the solder from a roll, and then you turn it up another 50°C or so, and then that's gonna be fine, and the more powerful it is, the better, but on Chinese gear that doesn't come from one of the bigger Chinese brands like Zhongdi and Aoyue, the specs are usually rather optimistic and sample variation is huge, so you can't trust them anyway. You do this carefully for every tip you have once, and then you just remember and you can set it straight away. To be kept in mind when setting temperature is that repair should be done with eutectic leaded solder (something like Sn63Pb37, or i use Sn62Pb36Ag2), because it's less stressful on the board and the parts, but the parts are originally soldered with Sn100 if they were made in 2005 or later, which takes a higher temperature, so you may need to add another 20°C to reflow original solder properly. Make sure you have magnification tools on hand to inspect. Generally, i think everyone who is inclined to do the repairs should learn to do them, but the first thing you consider repairing is usually something valuable and something you depend upon, and you probably shouldn't be soldering around on it right away, there's a lot of damage that you can do, but have someone with more experience help you along or maybe turn to a professional repairman. There's a variety of tools that you can touch up a small joint like this with, like even a handheld battery soldering iron with only 6W or a USB soldering iron, they are just a couple $. Generally non temperature controlled soldering irons with over 30W are dangerous for electronics and tend to burn up themselves pretty quickly. If you're buying non temperature controlled iron, you're looking for a temperature equilibrium soldering irons that just don't get too hot by themselves, but they still run a bit warm for fine soldering. Soldering irons and stations with no actual temperature feedback but with a power regulator on them are basically a waste of money, they usually don't have an equilibrium whatsoever and are always either too cold or glowing hot. I mean if you can get a temperature controlled 936 clone for about $20, why bother with something that's so much worse? Also if you're repairing something this expensive, it's a shame not to just buy a Hakko 888D for $100 or maybe even something better.
nice video! (btw, if i want to test a led i use the diode tester function of my multimeter, it puts out a current/voltage small enough to not do any harm elsewhere (i trust), and big enough to see the led light up faintly)
I kinda like the build quality of the unit. Can you tell us what brand of capacitors re used across the boards? That's the number one reason for units failing :)
Hello. I have a problem with my behringer x32, the problem is that the fader move alone without my touch, when a vibration subwoofer or when I hit the mixer, and prove to reset but nothing.
+carlos cristobal lanfranco Hello Carlos. Im not sure why the faders would move on their own, if they have midi control from a DAW then yes but they should not just move without a signal to the motorised fader.
Thanks for that, nothing wrong with my X32, but found it very interesting! and reassuring that the quality and repairability is there on this mixer. I'm so impressed with every aspect of it, the only thing I couldn't be sure of was the 'repairability' which was a big issue on previous Soundcraft and Mackie desks Ive owned. There really is nothing out there to compare with the x32, we've had to use ilives at gigs recently and do they sound as sweet? no. they don't.
Thankyou Kenny. Im pleased you found the Video interesting, I remember the days not so long ago when Behringer was on the same list as something like amstrad in terms of feelings of quality. Now they have certainly moved the goalpost and are making some good quality units, the x32 range is making its way into so many small studios now as the quality is very impressive for its price. (no i don't work for behringer before anyone asks).
that's the spirit - and I agree, if you know you can fix it then have a go (for such a 'simple' problem). Nothing worse than having your gear passed around between service centres and coming back scratched and worse than it left!
It was too big for my setup, I changed it for the Allen & Heath QU16 which is a smaller more compact mixer. I never had any major issues with the Behringer32 apart from the led problem.
Congrats you solved the problem in a very cheap and fast way. I have a problem on my small xenyx 1204FX. The channel 3 is dead. You think it's the 4580 integrated circuit? Greetings from Portugal.
Porfirio Domingues Hi Porfirio and Hello to Portugal. Im sorry but i no longer own the Behringer mixer and to be honest I have never been inside the 1204FX mixer so I cannot help you there. Im very sorry. from Markus
Hi Braden, The 100 band real time analyser is on the Behringer mixer, It is an extra that is included in the new version 2 software along with several more effects compressors etc. best wishes from Markus
.... what do you expect..... it's a Behringer. I've three DDX3216 mixer desks now. Wow, fab spec for the money .... which is exactly the problem. All THREE have various issues from no boot :\, 'Xmas tree' lights on another and one which takes about 10 restarts to 'charge' the failing capacitor circuit of the PSU, so that it doesn't then fail the boot check on Vdrop on the line, ie. just enough to squeak it through the boot sequence. Then IF it gets there, audio main buss crackles light static until it warms up....all good to start recording .... unless it freezes. Looked under the bonnet of all - the finish build and glued everything it would seem, could have been better finished off by my 11 year old daughter... wearing 3D movie glasses on .... in summary - as you know - you get what you pay for. Otherwise they're great!!! :)
Did you see which chip is the main CPU in X32? Where exactly it is located? Is it Intel or something else. On small MIDAS Pro desks the main CPU is a standard PC motherboard, a small one, looks like X32 is more custom
Hi Arik. sorry I did not take time to have a good look inside the mixer. I wanted to do a full teardown but for some reason my videos are limited to 15 minutes. I did not really get to look at the processors, they are on the lowest board and i would have had to take out the top 2 layers but time was an issue.
hi Arik, Jesse Forgues sent me this info. DSP processor The X32 has two brains: two processors ADSP-21371 Analog Devices (High-Performance 32-BIT Floating-Point SHARC Processor For Automotive Audio) each capable of 1.596 billion operations per second.
markusfuller Thanks for reply. There's plenty on forums about this, even if it's only 400 Mhz chip it's RISC type, so it's close in performance to i7 or similar chips in MacBooks. Not the same as old 400MHz Pentium II. Then who cares anyway? Works fine, I haven't had one performance glitch due to slow CPU yet.
Hi Florent Camus, the faders are moved by a dc-motor connected by a small plug onto the bottom of the board, I doubt it could be loose there. there are several surface mount chips close by that may control 4 motors each, I would follow the trace from the motor to the chip and press gently on the chip while changing the fader selections from 1-16 to 17-32 and see if it moves. if so then resolder the pins of that chip that trace back to the fader motor. you could also disconnect the white plug with the red & black wire to the fader and put dc 3 to 5 volts one way then the other and the fader should move. if not then its either jammed or the toothed ribbon is snapped or simply come off or the motor is dead but behringer is using much better quality parts in this X32. I have some 100mm flying faders from an old soundcraft mixer here but I doubt the motors would be the same size. I should have took the opportunity to snap some photos of the board then maybe I could have been more help to you. if you take the thing apart to check the motors be careful of the direction the plugs go onto the headphone sockets as they have been glued and you may pull off the whole plug leaving just 3 pins behind (as I did - oops). but any questions please ask and I will help if I can. best wishes from markus
Anyway, thanks for reply. I just wanted to say that your videos really are the eye opener to have the inside look on what manufacturers are selling us. I replaced once LCD backlight in Yamaha SY77. It had to disassemble and reassemble the instrument like five times, broke the LCD at the fourth attempt, ordered new LCD, it finally worked. It took me roughly 4 and a half hours each session. But that's not the point. Yamaha SY77 is very well built inside. And so are Roland D-50 and Casio VZ-1. Money well spent on those synths. I recently acquired Roland Integra-7 and Mackie 3204 VLZ4. I am just really scared to even look inside those units though, 'cause they're probably totally hollow inside, which makes me think about my money totally gone for the companies' profit. Anyway, just wanted to say that your videos were really a big eye opener what's inside of the AIRA's and Prophet 12. I wouldn't buy any of those after seeing your videos :)
Thanks Andrew. I had the Integra for a while but found it a bit fiddly to use, other than that I think the majority of the sounds in it were really TOP quality. I kinda wishes I had not sold it now. Best wishes from Markus
Hi Mark, I would love to get my hands on the Presonus AI . looks very interesting but then theres so many things I want to take apart. Hmm I wonder if my local music shop would take me on and allow me to take my work home :-)
***** Hello, I appreciate your offer of tearing down the PreSonus. however I do not have any room left in my workshop (its only a tiny room) I need to get through some of the gear i have stacked up here. I think it would be great for you to take it apart and make a video, I would certainly find it interesting to watch. but thanks again for your offer. Best wishes from markus.
Would have been a better repair if you had applied the solder and the iron at the same time instead of dabbing it. Also you did not need to remove the side plates and base making it unstable.
Wow awesome....if anything goes wrong with my x32 compact.....ummm....lol...I would rather pay you to fix it instead of getting the company to fix it....nice job!
markusfuller thanks a lot for you reply...and keep going with your investigations about x32...please reade my comment on your video part 2...and i repeat Talented and modest man markusfuller...tlazokmate (thanks) desde México¡¡¡
markusfuller hello markusfuller...i have a problem with my left eraphones jack of the x32...my headphones plug have just broken inside...my question is ...do you think it is possible to take out the piece of the plug inside of the jack or do i have have to replace it???...because i see in your great video that the jack in the x32 is pastic box closed...i was thinking to take apprat the x32 following your video and then tray to take out the part of the plug inside the left jack...with some mini tool...thanks a lot for your replay and sorry for my bad english ...saludos desde Mexico Marcus¡¡¡¡¡
Hi. I think it would be better to take it apart and just replace the whole Jack socket. I do not think the plastic box is that important unless it has a small circuit board on it but i guess the Socket part will be replaceable
markusfuller thanks a lot Marcus...i ve been able to take a part the x32 .,..and succesfully removed the plug part inside the jach connector...i didnt replaced it lucky ¡¡¡¡...thank for your great help...and kkep going sharing yopur wisdom....
Behringer sent me this clip so I'd know how to change the battery. At least I know where it is now. A lot of work to change out a battery that will probably go in a few years time.
Glad you asked that. I just found who he is. BRILLIANT i laughed so much. thanks for making him known to me. Im still laughing at his cake feeder with 8 spoons. Im crying here with laughter. :-)
Nevermind, found this: DSP processor The X32 has two brains: two processors ADSP-21371 Analog Devices (High-Performance 32-BIT Floating-Point SHARC Processor For Automotive Audio) each capable of 1.596 billion operations per second. Jesse Forgues Hi Jesse. sorry I did not take time to have a good look inside the mixer. I wanted to do a full teardown but for some reason my videos are limited to 15 minutes. though I think that's because I'm using iMovie on the mac. I'm trying to figure out how to do longer videos as theres several music related gear and synthesizers I want to open up and get inside in future videos.
***** Hi Yanakyl Thankyou , I have now verified the account for longer videos so I can post the longer moog voyager video now without having to cut most of it out. many thanks from markus
I am very hesitant to buy any more Behringer stuff after a V-amp and a V-amp Bass (both the rack versions) stopped working about one year after purchase: the V-amp became a xmas tree (literally ALL lights on but no sound at all) and the V-amp Bass when resetted worked for about 15 minutes after that only producing hiss and noise. Made in China athe time. I know this Behringer is in fact a Midas but again I don't trust the electroncics done by Behringer (again in China I guess).
+Karl Georges Hi Karl. I got rid of the Behringer X32 as it just kept producing more and more faults. I know there is a bit of Midas inside this but still the mixer became unreliable and I never knew what the next problem would be the next time I turned it on. I have moved over to the Allen & Heath QU16 now and have not had one single problem.
Behringer is great....As long as the Behringer mixer is actually working. Unfortunately it's a crap shoot with them. Fortunately I have been lucky. Others, mmmm...Not so. I know a musician friend who purchased one of these digital mixing boards (not this one) for live use. It broke down on the road. OUCH!
"Behringer" has no /ndzh/ sound in it, like in "cringe". As in, the reaction to hearing people mispronounce "Behringer". Think bear-ringer. Somebody who rings with bears. That's how you pronounce it.
markusfuller They didn't have any part in the X32. When Music Group merged with Behringer, they took OS and and mix engine of the X32 and added Midas mic pre's and the Midas pro faders and thus came the Midas M32. Still a very nice video. Goes to show that some things can be fixed without sending it to the repair centre. I would do the same thing before sending it off.
Great Job tearing down and putting it back together my friend, you have the hands of a surgeon

Thank you so much for this video. Not the problem I am trying to fix but I could not stop watching. Very well done.
Great desk. I run one at work with the S16 snake. It's bloody marvellous.
Had a chance to learn (I.e. thrown into the fire) this board a few weeks ago. Loved watching this repair!
Was a pretty good board and loved the aux delays. Fairly easy to intuitively figure out. Some of the routing options could have been made easier/ faster though.
Wow..teardowns are always tge best... Especially when things work after putting it all back together again..
In the process - ending up with extra screws 😂😂
Thanks for the great vid...
Ps: are you a recording artist or sound engineer??
Hi Ismail, I guess i'm more of a recording engineer. I make music up occasionally but I never think its any good. but I have fun and thats what matters to me :-)
+markusfuller 😂😂
+markusfuller no worries. Thanks for taking your time to respond. Really appreciate it!
Fascinating video dude . What a set of cobbles indeed! . Bravo :)
The turnaround time for my x32 repair was 2 weeks after dropping it off in Kidderminster. But where's the fun in that? :D
True. no fun at all if you have a screwdriver :-)
Steve Erwin before crocodile hunter
Great video! Thanks for your good work. What kind of the main display port inside? is it possible to connect an external screen for bigger monitor? The screen of X32 producer is too small for me..
thanks for the video, but how can i purchase replacement parts for my 40 channel x32, the Behringer website isn't helpful
Sorry Eric. I do not know where you will find parts for this mixer now. I made this video many years ago.
Hello Markus
I have a brehringer x32 that has earphone output and also the screens of the first panel of potentiometers does not work .... I need your help please
Awesome job man! Really glad to see inside.
Damn, you have all my respect to do what you do, thanks for publishing the video :)
I only add that some of those small screens have a different brightness already from new mixer at least as far as I am concerned with what I have found on the one I have, 1 or 2 result with a slightly weakened brightness, but by adjusting the brightness settings you can correct a little the problem but obviously remains.
Thank you so much for cutting out the unscrewing of the parts and everything! Great video!
Great vid! Watching to see if I can understand the (computer) logic of a digital sound mixer.
Man you the Man Bro..I was getting nerves out here when you took that thing apart..But thanks for showing us this cool video and we got to see the inside of this amazing Mixer..thanks
Thank You very much. it was one of my first early videos. many thanks
Very informative and interesting to watch. Thanks for uploading and hope you do more videos soon.
Sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time! Had the tri colour LED been broken I'm guessing you would have been out of options?
Hello I have the mixer goes tight and one fader for drugimi.chto late it may be? Mixer NEW behringer x32 compact
I just now noticed the HUGE flatscreen above your desk haha. Need to have the visual workspace huh ;)
visual workspace and a good haircut by the looks of that old video LOL
The ladies must've been all over you! XD
the only ladies that ever gave me a second look were normally store detectives LOL
Well i suppose that counts for something haha
Hardware version 2 has hinges at the back, so you can just open it up and stick a prop in to hold it open.
Thanx so much for this video, as here are so little proAudio teardowns!!
Thanks Damon. get the screwdriver and just go for it :-)
I'm afraid that's a larger issue that isn't so simple :(
But as to what to use, he uses a temperature controlled soldering station here, it's a basic Chinese clone of the old Hakko 936, well it's not an exact clone, but the tips are compatible and they look similar, and it's likely specified as 50W or 60W.
Hi. Im sorry but I did not look at the brand of the capacitors. if I open it again I will take some pics and try and see what brand are used.
I'll make a video so you see the problem, I think it is a bad contact
OK let me know whan you have made the video and I will watch it and try to help if i can.
Absolutely brilliant...dear sir! Cheerio!
Wow ! you made me nervous a beginning of the video . Wonderful work man .
Colin Furze is mandatory to know. He must make television. Sorry to reply this way, I'm on an ipad and can't reply somehow. Glad you liked it. :)
Hi, please help us. x32 doesnt select the expansion card on the setup synchronization option, so windows doesnt detect de 32 channels
Oscar Rendón Hello Oscar. Im sorry but I do not own the X32 any longer so I do not know how to help you with this problem. My apologies.
+markusfuller Why did you get rid of it ? May I say. Too many crappy solder joints ?
Im very sorry. from Markus
markusfuller Thanks. You work with electronics? I' m just a sound technician. Greetings.
what was the spectrum analyzer you had going on the very end of the video?
DSP processor
The X32 has two brains: two processors ADSP-21371 Analog Devices (High-Performance 32-BIT Floating-Point SHARC Processor For Automotive Audio) each capable of 1.596 billion operations per second.
markusfuller Thanks for reply. There's plenty on forums about this, even if it's only 400 Mhz chip it's RISC type, so it's close in performance to i7 or similar chips in MacBooks. Not the same as old 400MHz Pentium II. Then who cares anyway? Works fine, I haven't had one performance glitch due to slow CPU yet.
can you do a teardown of the NS7II ?
We have a x32 and a fader doesn't move anymore. Have you an explanation ?
I should have took the opportunity to snap some photos of the board then maybe I could have been more help to you. if you take the thing apart to check the motors be careful of the direction the plugs go onto the headphone sockets as they have been glued and you may pull off the whole plug leaving just 3 pins behind (as I did - oops). but any questions please ask and I will help if I can. best wishes from markus
good video ,continue making videos like that about fixing behringer x32
Thankyou Eduardo. Im kinda hoping something goes wrong so I can take it apart again. best wishes.
can you fix the one i got? one mute button do sent light and i cant live with it
Hi what problems where you geting?
Woow thats to bad wich mixer do you use now?
At the factory they would probably have exchanged the whole board and thrown away the other one. so you did good on the environment too! :)
Thank man, I need to replace my Battery. You made it look simple.
Interesting. Pretty daunting repair but good job!
Any plans on tearing down a Mackie VLZ4?
Hi Andrew. most of the items I tear down belong to me. I cannot get my hands on the Mackie VLZ4 . sorry
Great job and thank you for sharing.
defo looks like you get your money's worth of hardware with this monster!
You are a geek!Respect!
Warranty be damned! You are a brave man. If you ever get your hands on one, I would love an insight into the Presonus AI mixers.
Love your videos, Thanks!
What a great video! Good man
Excellent work
Quite brave! Hope it never comes to this on mine. Thanks Reminds me of taking apart my old Yammi 02R
Wow awesome....if anything goes wrong with my x32 compact.....ummm....lol...I would rather pay you to fix it instead of getting the company to fix it....nice job!
Hi Wesley. Thankyou for your comment. I would help if I could.
great great markusfuller...thanks man...you are very talented¡¡¡¡
Thankyou very much. no talent required just take things apart and its amazing what you can learn just by having a look into things. best wishes
markusfuller thanks a lot for you reply...and keep going with your investigations about x32...please reade my comment on your video part 2...and i repeat Talented and modest man markusfuller...tlazokmate (thanks) desde México¡¡¡
markusfuller
hello markusfuller...i have a problem with my left eraphones jack of the x32...my headphones plug have just broken inside...my question is ...do you think it is possible to take out the piece of the plug inside of the jack or do i have have to replace it???...because i see in your great video that the jack in the x32 is pastic box closed...i was thinking to take apprat the x32 following your video and then tray to take out the part of the plug inside the left jack...with some mini tool...thanks a lot for your replay and sorry for my bad english ...saludos desde Mexico Marcus¡¡¡¡¡
I have exactely the same problem!
Colin Furze's brother?
Glad you asked that. I just found who he is. BRILLIANT i laughed so much. thanks for making him known to me. Im still laughing at his cake feeder with 8 spoons. Im crying here with laughter. :-)
What ADI IC is that at 11:59?
Nevermind, found this: DSP processor
The X32 has two brains: two processors ADSP-21371 Analog Devices (High-Performance 32-BIT Floating-Point SHARC Processor For Automotive Audio) each capable of 1.596 billion operations per second.

forum.behringer.com/showthread.php?1322-X32-inside-photos
Jesse Forgues Hi Jesse. sorry I did not take time to have a good look inside the mixer. I wanted to do a full teardown but for some reason my videos are limited to 15 minutes. though I think that's because I'm using iMovie on the mac. I'm trying to figure out how to do longer videos as theres several music related gear and synthesizers I want to open up and get inside in future videos.
***** Hi Yanakyl Thankyou , I have now verified the account for longer videos so I can post the longer moog voyager video now without having to cut most of it out. many thanks from markus
this guy has no understanding of the concept of fear
+markusfuller Thx for this follow-up Markus, I'll look out for a 2nd hand Teac DM-3200 and check out the specs of the Allen & Heath.
same Problem with V-amp Rack version
I am interested in their new synth but I dare not buy it until its been on the market for a year and theres no reports of failure.
OUCH!
You only get the magic smoke if you plug North American equipment directly into European or Australasian voltage.
Спасибо очень полезно. Теперь знаю где и как поменять батарейку
That was fun!!!
is this good dj mixer.
Not really good for DJ. its better if you get a mixer with a crossfade controller. much better for DJ-ing
great video thanks
Good fixed!!
Nice! Good on ya!
Boa tarde!!
Vendo seu vídeo, vi que você e meu herói
excellent!
Ещё бы знать какая батарейка там стоит .
cool
"Behringer" has no /ndzh/ sound in it, like in "cringe". As in, the reaction to hearing people mispronounce "Behringer".
Think bear-ringer. Somebody who rings with bears. That's how you pronounce it.
Not Midas mic pre's !!!
I'm not exactly sure what part Midas has played in the making of this mixing desk.
markusfuller They didn't have any part in the X32.
Collin furze as a dad
man you did a very drastic decision....
I own a behringer graphic equaliser with wobbly buttons as standard wont buy another one
I hope you sold it before it went completely to hell.
I think I got it back to the shop for a trade in just before the guarantee ran out.
