I wish I had watched this 6 months ago when I started podcasting. I’ve been using Audacity for mixing down. Easy to use, but Adobe Audition seems to be a whole new game at a higher level. I look forward to learning more. Your video demonstrated a skill I could use successfully right away. Thanks.
Thank you, Mike. This was actually easier to follow than Adobe''s own instructional video! Much appreciated by a locked-down amateur who wants to become a professional.
‼UPDATE FOR ADOBE AUDITION USERS ‼- I have made it easier than ever before to work with tricky audio. My brand new Audition presets are out now. One click to GREAT sound :) Check them out here: mrc.fm/presets This is a great way for you to support my channel too 🙏🙏🙏
I haven't worked w/Audition since CS3... I thought to check out CC and this is mind blowing!!! It's even simpler than Logic X!!!! Like what?!?!? My mind is blown!!! Awesome tutorial!!!! Straight to the point! Other people need to take notes!!!!
Thank you very much! I am trying to migrate over to the adobe package, and this tutorial helped me learn about audition. I think audition is 10 times better than audacity!!!
I'm a visual artist--so I know the other Adobe apps well! --but now I have to work with Audition for audio! Thank you for making it easy to get started! --just subscribed. ;)
Besttttttt tutorial for dummies!!! I've never used Audition before and you've made it so, so easy for me. Literally!!! I've searched and searched but there's none like yours. You get right to the point and I could follow along with you bit by bit. No unnecessary "over" chatting. Kudos to you Sir Russell, very detail step by step tutorial anndd....your voice is phenomenal. I hope you use it for voice over jobs.
QUESTION - I bought a beat from an artist off Beatstars - I have full rights - but other artists have used the same beat. I'd love a video of how to slightly alter the beat maybe BPM so Shezam recognizes your song only? Would require testing but would be a very cool video.
Thank you so much for the lecture. You actually teach us in the 1,2,3 form a complete tutorial to record something from scratch. You are a grate professor.
Thanks for the tutorial Mike Russell! Short and simple. I've been using Audacity for years but figured I'd start learning Adobe Audition. I can tell with this program I'll have a lot more freedom move and mix my music tracks.
Good video, I watched this because the internship Im going for uses it but its basically a stripped down DAW so I think my Ableton experience will serve me well.
This is the very most beautiful tutorial guide for beginners like me. Thank you for your wonderful support Mike. I have learned new things from you regarding Adobe audition and I'm going to start working on Audition from today. Keep doing your great support ♥️
Mike, this is an excellent tutorial, however I can't get the recording light to come on when trying to create an audio file. I am using Audition CC version 6 Build 732 (64 bit) and using an Samson C01U microphone via a desktop computer. I keep getting the error message "The sample rates of the audio input and output devices do not match etc. etc." I have followed your instructions above re Preferences and Audio Hardware/Mapping several times and the sample rates are identical. Any thoughts? Cheers.
Now that's what I call a voice. I'm about to purchase Audition and I'm glad your video was the first and only one I'm going to view. I'll let you know how I get along once I've got it
Thanks Mike fro this video. I am a pure beginner on this software and with your tutorial I can now edit my recordings. Super effective your demonstration! Thank you
This is the best tutorial i have found so far. i have learned a lot throughout the whole video. no wishy washy crap. I want to thank you heaps. setting up my beginner's audiobox in Aug2019.
Excellent video. I've been using Audition for a few months now, figuring out things as I go along and this tutorial cleared up a few 'mysteries' for me. Should've watched sooner. Thanks Mike!
This was super helpful! Just started out using Audition for school and never saw or even heard of it before! This was exactly what I needed to combine multiple sounds and make it 30sec in total!! Thank you very much!!
Mike - this so helpful I have a sound guy who finishes my commercial work but this helps me do my own simple audio for my documentaries, you are a rock star, now where can get a voice like yours?
@@MikeRussell Thanks... definitely a learning curve which just got a little less steep thanks to your channel :) hopefully it's not too long until I'm zipping around the keyboard shortcuts

This was such a help! I bought the official Audition book from Adobe with little success (at least initially). You were able to put yourself in the mind state of a beginner & present some core concepts simply and clearly. Thank you!

You pay monthly for Creative Cloud from Adobe.
