Thank you for the great video . This is the only video, I've seen of this conversion. I am right now researching to do this same exact thing to my '90 Convertible. I had been doing research on which pulley to use . I wasn't planning on using the A/C delete kit . I wanted the pulley to sit lower in the engine bay . You saved me alot of time by posting the pulley and belt part numbers . Thank you .
So I have a dumb question... why didn't you take the bracket off THEN remove the compressor? I am on here looking for ideas to fabricate a new bracket because I can't live with an empty bracket where the compressor used to be. And I still have to figure something out instead those ugly hardware store kits in place of the air pump?
Excellent question! One of the bolts holding the compressor in place goes through the bracket so you can't remove the bracket before the compressor. I agree the bracket is ugly. I'm going to either trim it down or fabricate a custom bracket for the tensioner pulley. Likely will be a future video, stay tuned and thanks for watching!
I used a kit on that side as it provides a lot more space with the pump removed. Interesting idea though, I'll put it on the list for future. Thanks for watching !
I removed the AC pump this morning. Wow
. Happy to see this video and your tips
Awesome, thanks for watching! More neat tricks for this project coming up, stay tuned!

I bought a $35 delete kit on amazon and used my existing belt. It looks great and works amazing.
Glad you found a solution you're happy with, thanks for watching.
"used every tool in my chest" ROFL.
Reminds me of when we replaced the radiator in Lucky's. Old Blue.
Thanks for watching!

Big self abuse fan. Maybe I’ll have a Vette compressor to remove one day… 😂.
