From the three-story atrium of the Church’s landmark Flag Building at its spiritual home in Clearwater, Florida, Mr. David Miscavige, ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, welcomed the world to the network to explain its mission.
“You’ve probably heard of Scientology,” Mr. Miscavige stated. “In fact, every six seconds someone searches the question, ‘What is Scientology?’ There’s a lot of talk about us, and we get it. People are curious. Well, we want to answer your questions, because, frankly, whatever you have heard, if you haven’t heard it from us, I can assure you, we are not what you expect.”
Mr. Miscavige described to the audience watching on TV screens, computers and mobile devices worldwide the purpose of the new Scientology Network: let viewers see and experience the religion for themselves-who Scientologists are, what Scientology is and what Scientology can do-as told by Scientologists, themselves, around the world. “Scientology is a dynamic and expanding religion, and we’re going to be showing you all of it.”

Vietnam War Veteran here, I can tell you that in the jungles that we went through during the war, only God was able to save us. I believe that the eminent death before our eyes makes us realize that our life is not just a matter of luck or propability. My platoon and I have survived many moments of near death, and if today I can share that with you, it is thanks to God.
It wasn’t God, it was all of your own individual bravery and fortitude that pulled you through. Your inner strength is unmatched and you shouldn’t give your credit to God, it was your strength and yours alone. You’re powerful, believe and invest in YOU not God.
Why didn't God do anything for the people who died? People on the other side probably had just as many close calls but they were Atheists or Buddhists most likely how do you explain that?

If you read history books and believe things you haven't seen with your own eyes, then why not give the same judgments to other facts that have been preserved. The Catholic Church has always taught that we are, by nature, God’s creation and not gods in our own right. The Scientology idea has no basis in Scripture, Tradition, or other historical evidence.
