Masterpiece! One of the best episodes of a classic series.
Beautifully written and acted.
Deserves a prime time broadcast. This episode with cost of living so relevant.
Too many 'snowflakes' and these woke idiots.
This is brilliant. Shows you dont need to see it, with great writing the vocals alone are more than enough, God this is great writing.
one of my favourites, thanks for sharing.
My favourite episode of steptoe
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing
What a treat to hear Leonard Rossiter with them. 😃
Just the best of times
So superb - what writing and acting. Different from the equally brilliant tv version.
I believe Leonard Rossiter plays one of the escaped convicts, I don't know who plays the other.
You can see him in the thumbnail :)
@@RichardPhillips1066It’s not the same actor as the TV version
J.G Devlin played the part in the TV series, but the actor in this radio version sounds different. I suspect it’s a different actor here
@shaddersshadwell4941 Paddy Joyce according to the announcer
Love this 😂
Me and family used to live this lol
I think Alberts Ww1 Christmas truce skit was not in the TV version.
The new section with albert talking about the war is from the lost 1962 xmas sketch. Someone recreated it on UA-cam
TV version was utterly brilliant so this was always going to pale in comparison. Still good though.
This is the most hateful of Steptoe episodes: "Let me drag you down too Johnny!"
Penny a point cribbage and 6pence a dozen. I used to play my dad at those rates. £1,154 was well over a quarter of a millon pennies!
As brilliant as this is this performance isn't as good as the TV one
It was. j g devlin. Just Googled it. 🇬🇧👍
He was in the TV show, but this doesn't sound like him.
