I'm from a Filipino-Spanish-Chinese family, growing up we speak different languages at home including English. At times,we also mix it all. Bianca has more Spanish blood and we had a chance to meet her before. She's more comfortable in speaking English and Spanish because of the people around her. But she's very humble, so don't judge her just because she can't converse in Tagalog the way you want her to.
I noticed from observation that some Filipinos tend to hate, or rather, they tend to show hostility towards other Filipinos who can speak better english with little to no heavy filiipino accent. I guess some are just insecure. You will run across them from time to time.
@Vince Sang i agree with you , the problem most of our Kababayan, are not looking and not listen to message of communication when someone delivering it, instead they are busy checking one by one the context of grammar, and pronounciations for criticism ..... what a fuck ????
I just love Bianca. She is a very intelligent talker, has class and grace, and inspite of a very privileged upbringing is grounded and works for her advocacies.
what's the big deal if their conversation is in english...no offense meant to anyone...i always love tisay/tisoy people, and i am a big fan until now of her mother Maritess Revilla and all her sisters, the famous Revilla Sisters. They're well-off since birth and definitely their life style is obviously rich. Decent people, good breeding, good schools, etc. they're already blessed in life-born with a silver spoon & blessed with beautiful faces... that's why we should expect the outcome is - a beautiful lady, articulate, and all that....but i am still an avid fan of her Mom...Ms.Maritess Revilla, the most beautiful face I've ever seen. What’s wrong with speaking in English if that’s more natural for you? Yes, she grew up in the Philippines but like many others, when you speak English at home and amongst friends, it’s much easier and more comfortable. But you learn Filipino in school and become more familiar when you talk to helpers, sales people, etc. Also, many speak dialects.
She was raise in a wealthy family who can afford to send their children to a reputable school. She can speak English very well better than some Americans who live in America all their lives. I bet she can spell really well too.
Bianca Araneta or now known as Mrs. Elizalde's first language is English. These kind of people are the legit well-off, low profile high end people unlike those attention-seeking, Taglish-speaking new rich people.

People here hating Filipinos who aren't comfortable with other people speaking English. When you go to other countries like the US who are majority English speakers and try to speak in Tagalog.. wouldn't it seem rude to them also? Double standards? Right! Because you people are still in colonial mindset.

I don't think so. We may think we do, but nope, we're just looking at the surface. I used to work in a field where I've dealt with a lot of people in her 'circle' and honestly, you'll appreciate who they are and what makes them 'not normal'. And come on, let's be honest, this pretty "charmed life" is much more interesting and refreshing to watch coz everytime media will showcase normal people, there will always be the drama.
@@elprincep582 Is that a smart alec comment? Pilipino and English is the official language of the Philippines; Pilipino is based on Tagalog, the language where the capital region is located. Cindy Marie Lopez It’s not ironic, it’s called class. I hate when ignorance takes the best of people. When you grew up in an environment where speaking English is a norm it’s not a big deal whether you speak Tagalog fluently or not. Though we’re not discounting the fact that it would be great to know how, it still doesn’t make it right to bash someone for being a good speaker of a foreign language, be it English or not. Just because there are some people who’re more accustomed to talking in English doesn’t make them lesser of a Filipino. That’s just life, you either belong to that class or you don’t. And just because you don’t doesn’t mean you can judge those who do. Again, I’m not judging those who react in a bad way, I’m just saying that just because you’re not exposed to these kind of “Filipinos” doesn’t mean that you can label others to be hypocritical. Mind you, there’s a lot of us out there who talks the same way but doesn’t feel weird about it. So stop bashing!
