That looks like a seriously sick belt. The only reason I’m not ordering one right now is because I’m waiting for the review on the HRT belt. However, it looks like this is the belt and I’m going to get. I’m a little concerned about the sleeve system on the HRT. I’m also not wild about the lack of rear hook and loop. I am really excited about this belt though. That kind of makes me glad that AXL pissed me off with all their delays last year and I canceled my order.
If you like inner MOLLE, give Trex arms speed belt a look. it's actually the only belt I could run with my 25 inch waist size. Also, I'm sure some other viewers have pointed this out, but the purpose of load rating is for the usage of D-ring. mounting cables to helo have quick disconnect, so they don't rely on the cobra buckle to be able to break away.
Interested in what you don't like about the chalk belt. I've had the grid for the last year and it is substantially more comfortable than anything else I've tried and I've tried most
After about 2 months of research, Kore, GBRS, AXL, Blue Alpha, G Code, T Rex, HRT ARC, I FINALLY pulled the trigger on the Mech Defense Belt in Black multi cam. Every other belt fell short in one area or another. The Tegris fully wrapped inner, the 2 layer Tegris fully wrapped and full Velcro hook outer belt beat the other belts for design, weight, and strength. Your discount code on top of everything else was an extra added bonus. I did order the med pouch, and several other pouches but I love the look of the G Code pistol/rifle mags so I hope they fit the Mech belt. I'll do a follow up review once I receive my belt and set everything up. Thank you again for the detailed review and the discount.
I heard they were playing with curv. Curv doesn't have the memory issues that tegris does so it won't retain some weird shape. Overall curv is a better product.
My mech belt came in the mail yesterday, did some hardcore larping today, it is the lightest, most rigid, most comfortable belt I have ever run, doesn’t just look great but feels great, blew me away and surpassed all my expectations for a great belt. I have nothing but good things to say about defense mechanisms, great team, great products, (I own an mepc as well, also blew me away) I intend to replace most of my belt pouches with dm pouches. I'd do 1.5 for the same reason. 2 for comps
The belt overlaps on one side of the buckle, wouldnt this mean that you couldnt run any gear in that spot?
Nope, good question though. It still has the molle underneath and that area performs the same as the opposing side. I should have shown it but I did test that. The gloves are actually hooked in the same way molle would be.
It would be easier to show you....but yes, gear can go there as it goes on the outside portion.

The video we deserved not the one we needed!!!
Anyone got theirs yet? I ordered on launch day but still waiting for it to be shipped.
Still waiting also! Ordered on the 4th, still trying to find more actual reviews online
@@JustAMech We’re on the same boat. Thanks for the reply!
which exact color is your mech belt?
just Multicam!
Do the HRT 30° pistol pouch adapters or the Tek-Loks from the HRT review fit this belt?
The 30° adapters work great and lock up real well. Not sure about Tek-Loks
