R/Ts have sports car attitudes without necessarily being in the sports car class, so in a way they kind of are massive sports cars
I actually own one. Its a 2015 with 110k volant cola air intake flow master exhaust an HP Tuners tune. I got 352.9hp and 400.6ftlb to the wheels with aggressive shift points and speed limiter removed

i had Dodge Charger R/T 5.7 V8 as a private car, it was bit better than in durango :)
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK only can say: "WoW....". The car with biggest engine I've ever driven was a Mercedes W204 E 500 with a Magnaflow exhaust and a BMW M5 e39. For me to drive a Challenger/Charger with the Hemi engine as daily car....bufff....shivers in my back....

It’s the limiter I own the 2018 r/t and it’s also limited at 118. I drove a grand Cherokee and noticed it’s limited to 118 as well. Also got the number or even 1 or 2 miles short on a 2019 Escalade. To the point that I thought that all SUV’s here in the US are limited to this number.
For some reason I just did 125 mph in a new gls 450 and I don’t think this was it’s limit but I didnt have the chance to keep my foot on the paddle because there were cops on the highway. Now I’m curious to know to what speed that SUV is limited to.
Most if not all speed limiters are based on safety factor for the vehicle and then the speed ratings on the tires that come factory

Der Motor ist ein sehr schönes Arbeitstier und lässt sich sogar recht sparsam bewegen, wobei der konkrete Verbrauch natürlich auch explizit vom Fahrzeug und der Nutzung abhängt. Da kommt man im Gesamtpaket mit den Turbomotoren anderer Hersteller nicht wirklich ran.
es gibt ab modelljahr ca 2015 mit ZF 8-gang automatik und der ist flotter und etwas sparsamer als der 6-gang automatik :)
I have one of these, and it's failing point is the 65rfe. Great transmission, just wonky shift points. Of course I traded a 6 speed challenger rt for it, so it's gonna feel a lot slower due to the extra 1500 pounds
The gearing is bad because of the usa national highway safety started to enforce speed limiters to suvs so thats why at higher speed they do bad vs the one with out it does just fine at higher speeds.

Simple tune takes care of the limiter. My 13 gets up to 137mph

I have 2014 300 3.6 europe version and hit at 150 mph limiter. Soon i will remove limiter and hit probably 160 mph. Your 5.7 can hit 170 mph

That's Chrysler 6 Speed automatic sucks I'm glad the newer Durango's use the ZF 8 speed transmission.

This 6 speed skips 3rd and shifts directly from 2nd to 4th which is why there’s so much power loss.
Program in 3rd and it’s a whole different world.
If the gears were shorter this car would be great
there is new ZF 8-Speed Automatic transmission since about 2015 or 2016 in all dodge models :)

It has governeor speed limiter, without limiter sure over 130 or 140 mph
I did 120 In my 2013 Chevy Malibu it has a 2.5 turbo charge I think
I had malibu with 2.4 engine europe version and easily hit over 135 mph just for 164 HP. Downhill i managed 145 mph

tons of horse power and not even 200km/h with it so basically cars with 110-120hp are faster
Its with limiter! Without should be around 230-240 kmh

With dodge charger 375 hp you can reach 275 kmh, dodge durango is heavy and weight over 2.3 tons and thats why it is slow and old 6-speed automatic, now lots news us cars has 7 or 8 speed or 10 speed automatic and faster, you will see in the future here in my channel

Old q7 4.2 fsi 2240 kg (100 kg lighter than durango) and has 350 hp and 0-100 7.4 sec, almost same like dodge durango with 8 sec (only 0.5 sec different) but at audi q7 you pay almost twice price when the car was new, and durango in half price, after 10 years durango and q7 same price, so q7 value lost lot money after 10 years!

is not fiat, this car was build before fiat fusion :) nowadays at dodge ram has 395 hp from 5.7L engine, or other dodge model with 3.6 liter and 300 hp thats good and 8 speed automatic, much better than 2013 models

its old engine, but in Dodge Ram has same engine but 395 hp :) this is without turbo, but now hellcat has 6.2 liter (is bit bigger only 0.5 liter bigger than 5.7L) has over 700 hp :) and 3.6 liter dodge with 300 hp :)

there is 3.6L dodge charger with 300 HP and ZF 8-Speed Automatic is much faster and consume less fuel than dodge durango :) this one in video is old engine
