Nobody can understand, till uve been through the other side.you know best, ive been to hell qnd back with horses, if they can hurt themselves on a piece of paper they will.ive had arteriel bleeding rescuing 19 horses from fire, you name it. Your fear will never go, but each ride will give you more hope and confidence. But being level headed, and pure love, the true love you have for him will get you through anything xx I am always here privately to support you, have heart dearest lady, no horse could be better cared for, love and peace xx
Goodness what a nightmare! He's quite the character your Willow, I do love his grumpy stable face 😂 It's such a nightmare going through stuff like this but it's amazing what they can come back from
Wow, what a nail-biting journey you've had with gorgeous Willow. Horses can do crazy damage seeming by just turning around sometimes. Strong but delicate beasties. So glad you had such a good outcome after your set backs. Looking forward to seeing you out on Willow in the future. tfs
Thank you 🤩 Yes it’s been a journey of ups and downs with him, I have so much love for him that I’m petrified of him getting hurt, they can do damage to themselves so easily, which is scary x
You worry because you care (obviously) and all your feelings are completely validated. He done it not once but twice, you’re going to be cautious about what you do or how you do it. You’ll both be on fire next season!
Gosh you have been thru it with your babies haven't u. Can't imagine willow being bad mannered as he is such an angel when u are riding him well he looks like one unless that's your brilliant riding. You are so intelligent with them and it's lovely to see such a committed person who literally loves their horses so so much. You can see how much they mean to u. Its such a shame there aren't a few more ppl like that in the world ❤❤
Thank you Yes it seems to of been never ending, Willow is amazing to ride, such a well mannered horse when ridden but his ground manners when we got him were atrocious, His ground manners are better now then they were but we have to be careful as he will still bite and kick in the stable
I totally get where you are coming from with always feeling cautious about what you do with Willow since his injury, I have been in the same situation ,and it’s difficult not to always have that what if niggle at the back of your mind every time you do something with them. Hopefully he will be better than ever going forward 😊🐴💕
Probably not with willow as I’m to worried that lots of jumping will hurt his leg, Gambler has an amazing jump (when his fit 😂) so yes there is a possibility of us doing that with him x
I fully get it- my mare is now retired due to doing her hock joint in during the last of 3 major flooding events we had. Even not in work I'm still crazy careful with her as don't want to mess up her being retired sound (our rule here is quality of life over quantity, so I lucked out with her being paddock sound). Can I ask which magnetic boots & which infrared pads/boots you used? I've been looking into them but never sure which brands are legit & which are not lol.
I am going through this process now. My boy is 4 months into his injury and rehab. We are hand walking him and now hand trotting him just a few seconds a day. However he is still lame at the trot. How long was your horse lame for during the rehab ?
I can’t remember exactly how long he was lame for, but definitely quite a while, We also had to have regular physio to the rest of his body over the time, as he was causing himself discomfort everywhere else due to not using the leg properly which made him look lame all over
i hope you are all well,
dont forget to subscribe to follow along with our journey xx

Glad willow alot better and gone through loads this year so far. 😊
Thank you so much,
It’s seems to of been never ending 🤦♀️

Love how much you care about your horses xx❤
Thank you so much,
They all mean the world to me ❤️ x
Karen did you want to buy some ice boots second hand.? I have no use for them. Used once.❤
Great news...stop worrying so much. He will soon tell you if anything is really wrong...so go out and enjoy your time together with peace of mind x
Thank you so much 😊
Yes you are right, I really do need to stop worrying so much and really enjoy him now x
if you had boots for his legs when you turned him out that would stop him from getting hurt
See this is where my physio and vet say different,
They say boots heat up the legs and cause more issues
How scary it must have been for you all, willow will tell you when he’s ready to slow down, he is not ready yet. He’s got so much left in him❤
Thank you so much ❤️
Yes it was such a scary time, I now do need to stop worrying so much and have fun with him x
Have you ever thought of doing working hunter and going to HOYS? With both Willow and Gambler ?
Probably not with willow as I’m to worried that lots of jumping will hurt his leg,
Gambler has an amazing jump (when his fit 😂) so yes there is a possibility of us doing that with him x

I used the premier equine magnetic boots and infrared boots, I can’t feel them doing anything on me but the vet said what ever o had used had worked x
@@KarenBadrick1 Fantastic, thank you . I'll see if I can get them in my country or if I have to import some for her.
