I was at Thunder 500 at ippy a couple of years ago when an F1 hit the wall hard, knocking out the driver, the car continued going round for quite a few yards before crossing track onto infield and taking out the medics. Quite a delay till they found new medical crew.
@@classiccarsofharrogatespot9540 ah yeah the raceceivers . TBH at birmingham we check the raceceiver and if they're not working, they're not allowed to race. Feels like we just need some caution lights on the infield and get those marshals out of harms way, tbh.

Zero chance those marshals are being seen be the drivers lol
Having them on the infield is waste of time
Flags are just a back up just in case there in helmet ear coms to race controll fails. All F1 drivers have them now.
