8:53 this is one of the biggest misconceptions in the entire fanbase. N has really good character development. I think People are looking for a change in his actual personality, but this is overlooking his biggest change. How he thinks of authority.
In ep 1, he’s a pushover who would thank you for punching him. After he finds out his friends are BS and his boss tries to kill him. This starts his arc of standing up for himself.
In ep 2-5, is where he shows he’s no longer a pushover. Specifically in ep 4 when he puts his foot down and stands up to V. This is a very important point in his character arc.
In ep 6, this is probably the peak of his arc, because now he has another authority figure in his life, but it’s one that he has a history with and trust. So we see him slipping back into his old habits of blindly following authority.
And in ep 7, after finding Tessa, a person he knew who he trusted and cared for, was complete BS, and was threatening his “best friend”, this is where he snaps and finishes his arc by killing a personal authority figure in his life to protect someone he cares about.
That’s N development. to the people who say he’s the same character through and through throughout the show, why you are false.

What I'll say about Doll is that she's a tragic character. She watched her parents die and wanted revenge. She tried during the prom but didn't succeed, she then then attempted to lead the sentinels to attack V in episode 6. Doll doesn't know that V stayed behind. The whole reason she went down to the Cabin Fever Labs was to find the cross patch that could help her with the absolute solver, just like with Nori. In episode 3, she told Uzi that if she found what she was looking for, she'd help her to. Since Doll got attacked by Cyn, she told her to fight back while dying. She had a pretty sad story, in my opinion.
Just like Uzi in episode 4, when Doll first experienced the absolute solver abilities, she was probably scared and confused, and since her parents died, she had no one around to somewhat help her. I say somewhat because in Cabin Fever, N didn't exactly know what was going on with Uzi. All he could do was to be there for her and comfort her as best as he could during the time.

Alright here is my review of Yagsterr’s review:
Dolls Death: As a Doll fan, I went through the 5 stages of grief. She probably had the most brutal death second to that of Tessa, literally gutted like a fish and had to walk for minutes while her guts were spilling out just to do one selfless act. She should have met with Uzi and had a proper redemption. Hopefully my theory that each assimilated drone gets their consciousness stored and can influence the solver is correct and doll can somehow come back in some metaphysical way.
Pacing and Animation quality: I agree, Probably the best leap in quality compared to previous episodes since episode 3. Pacing is a bit fast imo but that’s just Liam’s goofy writing style.
J: The fact that J had more lines and screen-time in a plushie ad then like the whole show is simultaneously funny and sad. Hopefully J will be important in episode 8 and/or season 2 if that ever happens. 🦅JUSTICE FOR J🦅
Tessa Twist: I completely disagree with you on this one. It was hinted at since the beginning:
-Cyn wearing similar clothes to Tessa
-weird ghost thing in episode 4.
-The sentinels in episode 6 are designed to only attack drones, not humans, but the sentinels were genuinely confused
-If The air is toxic and she needs to wear a space suit, why isn’t she worried and/or suffocating when her suit is breached due to the sentinel biting her arm
-She says “Huuuuuman security this… Huuuuuman can control.” And then in her visor it says access denied.
-The multiple suspicious and ominous shots of Tessa’s helmet.
-If the disassembly drones were made by the solver, and she said she was trying to stop the solver, then why does she have a J clone? Clearly “Tessa” made a J clone to escort her to the labs in case the sentinels attack
Literally Tessa being dead the whole time was foreshadowed, the foreshadowing was subtle enough for you to not immediately know Tessa was a fake, but suspicious enough to make you question her character. It was a good twist, and I will die on that hill.
Nori being “plot device”: Naw bro Nori was cool. She wasn’t really “identical” to Uzi, she acted more mature and had more of a Jaded personality.
Khan’s Glowup: Idk how Khan became such a Chad, but I’m all for it lol.
Also V is 100%, Lizzy is texting her “secret friend”, who else would that be other than V?
Also I’m mad that Yeva didn’t get any lines of dialogue.

I’m sick of people saying “N has no character development he’s same old N” lemme tell you something:
Ep 1- N is somewhat stupid and after a while finds out that his squad betrays him and his leader and all the trust and “she’s awesome, she’s amazing” is all just fake.
Ep 2- gets a lil character growth but is just still a confused boi but just supports and helps
Ep 3- changes a bit and becomes a lil more smart + grows feelings for Uzi
Ep 4- More defensive, he even hurt V bc V called Uzi an “Thing/it” N practically stood up to her and didn’t know what was going on with Uzi so what he could just do was sit around and try to comfort her as best as he could
Ep 5- Flash back to him being a calm normal life
Ep 6- Try’s to have a normal life 😭and just there to help out
Ep 7- Gets really serious and sometimes goofy and when he found out puppet Tessa someone he most trusted and knew for a long time was about to kill Uzi who he most cares about loses it and kills the heck out if her head.
He became stupid-goofy-confused-defensive-supportive-killed somebody for Uzi’s life

@@crosana01 to satisfy my sadistic story writer mentality.
N, as the cinnamon roll character, naturally has a lot of room to grow as a character.
Over the course of the season, he has been growing bit by bit. The more trauma he’s exposed to, the more horrors he sees, the more he loses, the more he grows.
That scene where he just starts unleashing all of his rockets on the elevator was almost perfect, but he settled right down once Tescyn brought his attention to Uzi.
After experiencing everything that N has, any normal person’s mind would crack under the pressure. N being who he is, is extremely in tune with his emotions, so it makes sense that he’s lasted this long. But at this point, anyone would be struggling, and that’s exactly what we see happening to N at the beginning of the episode.
Just a little more pain and he would have had an immediate meltdown, which would have been a good way to expand his character from cinnamon roll to something slightly more complex.
N is complex, but he could easily be more so.

There's various explanations for most of these evidences.
-CYN wears them because TESSA put them.
-The Sentinels attacked her because she didn't have acess to the Security system, which are the Sentinel.
-Because she was inside the underground facility, while at the beginning of the Episode, she was on open air.
-Her acess was denied because she didn't work in the Labs when it was still operating, so the System didn't recognize her as an human that worked for JCJenson.

@@Axolotl_1215While I wouldn't say that it was hinted at quite from the beginning the hints that you list are some of the reasons that the "Tessa" reveal in 7 wasn't at all a surprise to me, on the contrary I was waiting for that the entire episode.
After seeing the figure in the cabin that looked like its hair fit perfectly the silhouette of Tessa from episode 5 but wasn't in a spacesuit there I became convinced something was off about her. She shouldn't be able to survive the toxic and frigid atmosphere.
Then in episode 6 we not only have the sentinels confusion but, more importantly to me, when it rebooted its orders hadn't changed from hunting AI yet continued to attempt to kill "Tessa." When we see through its eyes near the episode's end and it sees her blood the blood is assigned a series of 1s and 0s and off to the right of its HUD we see many lines of "WARN.NULL." This seemed too intentional to be a coincidence.
What I wasn't expecting was the grim reality that Tessa was being worn like a meatsuit. I had thought perhaps riddled with cybernetic implants being controlled by Cyn or, at worst, she was simply a reanimated corpse.

I completely agree with your statement on Tessa! I think her reveal not only killed a diverse character, but the BIGGEST drama in the series too, aka the "universe or uzi" plot. Tessa was a tragic protagonistic hero, you could feel bad for her and root for her with valid reasons, such as the safety of the universe and her own trauma with AS. With only 1 single episode the said complexity got DESTROYED scooby doo meddling kids style. Her actions, behaviors and personality in episode 6 makes ZERO sense, since she's apparently this intimidating mastermind all along. And why would she, the cold-blooded manipulator, fall for such predictable traps THREE TIMES in a row, one including her PETTING a sentinal?? It just feels so inconsistent to me. AS killing it's own hosts make no sense either, it feels like just an excuse to defend the plot holes of the Cyn reveal.

I suspect the Cabin Fever labs were a lot closer than anyone thought to curing drones of the AS influence while keeping it's powers, which understandably could be a threat to AS. Look at what AS did to N and the rest of that trio, sho captured and personality took them over, N only surviving because Uzi overwrote N's admin password. AS doesn't just want hosts, it wants puppets. Doll and Uzi had it's powers, but could fight back. The titular murder drones could have their personalities shut off with a flick of a switch.

Think about: as soon as she landed, she jumped out of the ship, decapitate a drone walk away with J. Not exactly something that makes you think that she was a good guy. And back them we still believe that Earth was intact and the company was behind al the Drones-genocide.
The only moment we saw tessa under a positive light wase during the flash back of episode 5. After that I was open to think "okay, she might be on our side".
Then episode 6 came around and ...thing start to feel off.
The way this "Tessa" act and speak start to look suspicious: the way she correct J, the reaction of J after she's been told to take care of the ship, her interaction with Uzi. Too much details in little to no time. Details the episode intentionally emphasize for us.
I didn't suspect initially that she wasn't human but I start to think that Tessa was a very different person now. A person that hide something to us.
It's no surprise for me that some people start to pick up the hints about her not being human.
Although, i never imagined she was CYN wearing Tessa skin as a flesh suit.
    THAT WAS HORRIFIED!
    AND MACABRE!
AND... and... completely on brand for Liam, goddamned. Should have seen it coming.
(Sorry for my bad English. It's not my main language.)

(Sorrry that i took so long, i had to think a lot of the episodes i seen and what i think of N stiry and how much character change he went through everyone.)
N really has gone through a lot since the first episode and so forth, but ever since meeting Uzi, he slowly begins to retain his old kind hearted self. N gets so mistreated by V, she always distancing herself from N cause of what happen. J who calls him useless and weak, deep down N is extremely strong, but he always holds back to those around him, we do get to see bits of his true power when Uzi is in danger.
Epi 2: I saw N past when he and V were once close, then he gets bully by J. N still hopds back a bit due to bit of character growth, V still treats N him like a stranger which is sad. What hurt more is Uzi reaction to what she saw of Absolute Solver turing into a void like portal, she began questioning N and V of what they are and it hurt N.
In episode 3 N begins remembering what Uzi told him, he even tried to tell V of what they even are. Deep down V does know since she the only one that remembers of that incident but not even telling N cause it traumatized her or it will hurt him more. I like when N showed more of his strength to help Uzi and their bond began.
In the episode 4, N began worrying for Uzi of what he seen of her slow transformation, he told V to not hurt her and he gets angry at V of what she not telling him due to his past coming back slowly. To what we saw of N getting not worried and tanking possessed Uzi hit which resulted her coming back to her senses, N threw Uzi high into the stratosphere, we saw how insanely strong he is. When they both talked, N knows how she feels of being all alone cause he was like that too before, when he met Uzi, he felt happy for the first time in years, like he finally woke up from a long dream and we both see they are each others lights out of the darkness.
Episode 5 and 6 we get to see N get his memory's back at last and Uzi even give him protection to prevent losing his memory's again. During the lab part, N gets scared by what Tessa aka Father like Absolute Solver told N to save the universe over saving Uzi, its where we get to see N character development come in. We reliezed N will not want to sacrifice Uzi cause deep down she all he has left, Uzi helped open his eyes to feel normal while he helped Uzi not feel alone anymore which i liked so much.
In episode 7, N remembering of his time killing people that Absolute Solver made him as well V and J do, he came begins to wake up from that nightmare thanks to Uzi thst protecting his mind after getting hos old memorys back. During the church fight, we really saw more of N not holding back of his strength to helping Uzi come back into the light. N of what he saw of Absolute Solver possessing Uzi, he noticed it was winking showing it was planning to make N suffer greatly, to stop it, he took the hit and he smiled at Uzi, we saw her eyes come back for a splint second and shows N strong feelings he has for Uzi to not see her get hurt.
We now know what Liam meant of what N and Uzi represent of coming back from darkness and what its like to be normal similar to Cloud and Tifa. What i think of if Liam will make a second season, i say it be awesome, it definitely will give N more character development to what will come of facing his past and Uzi will always be there for him to not let N carry the guilt and the weight of pain he going through.

How you feel about Doll's death is how I feel about both Doll and V's deaths.
Now you all put down your pitchforks and torches, I have my reasons.
As Yagsterr says in the video, Doll doesn't do much, but in the same light V doesn't get to do much either.
V; 1: Cracks a few creepy jokes, makes the suspicous flag joke, fights N and Uzi and gets tighted up in her own tail. 2: threatens Uzi a tiny bit as they argue at the beginning. Also Flashback to N and V as worker drones and revealing these two had a crush on each other. 3: argues with N abit, and nearly dies to Doll, is also revealed to be Lizzy's friend and after we learn V killed Doll's parents (Really one of her three biggest plot points I remember off the top of my head besides the crush reveal in episode 2). 4: Exists, then fights Uzi and nearly dies. Lizzy and V interact and V covers for Uzi's gremlin bat activities. 5: gets possessed, tries to kill our main cast, again, and expension of that V and N crush thing. 6: More creepy V after her and everyone else gets kidnapped, is saved by Beau (really somehow one of the best characters here. Despite being a silent pill baby with legs and a disassembly drone arm), fihts the sentinels in a epic fighting sequence, then DIES for her efforts.
A good third of that was not even important to the plot in terms of what V did. Really the only one who has finished their arc in any fashion is N as Raccoon-Memer states and he really does feel like he's met the end of his arc. And the only other drone that feels as if they will is Uzi.
But hey that's just my opinion.

There’s just something about how naturally. (-ish) the way this episode builds greatly upon what we have in so many wonderful ways.
-Doll’s goal being somewhat revealed. She needed the patch. She just denied helping Uzi with how she’s associated with a pair of murder machines
-It was already mentioned back in episode 6 mainly but, we finally are starting to 'understand' the purpose of the corpse spires from the pilot (somewhat onward). They’re clearly important to the solver’s goals.
-Episode 7 definitely handled the fast pacing the best just like episode 3. As you mentioned.
-N oh my fucking god you are wonderful. His terrifyingly terrific growth.
It definitely is a little puzzling that they don’t linger too much on whoever killed Nori. But to be fair, episode 3 already established that Uzi could less of a shit. So I can give a pass.

I also saw Tessa as a great saviour of humanity, that I was rooting for, and if the human survival required for Uzis sacrifice, so be it. But then all of a sudden she never knew anything about the threat of absolute solver because she was dead and not there all of the time. It's like if you took one of the main protagonist and not make them sacrifice or die, but you make them never existed, and that's weird to me. And I don't like how N kills Tessa, he at least I think doesn't show enough of the distress after killing her, all we get is an X on his visor.

Despite that, I agree, I don't like how it removes one point of view from the entire show. I would argue that while the Tessa twist wastes an opportunity for a moral dilemma, it greatly elevates the Solver as a villain. It's technically not even a twist - we know it has reality-bending powers and likes to mess with perception of reality, but before this it was always short-term or blatantly telegraphed, while the Cynwalker thing was a long con. It makes the Solver into an absolute creep who's been lurking right in front of everyone this whole time while mimicking a person it killed, skinned and wore as a suit out of some twisted amusement in not only doing so, but in manipulating everyone else in the process. It's insidious, sadistic, and I love it, it makes the Solver appear a far more formidable antagonist.

I am a little curious on the nature of the company and Tessa, since you did mention it.
Cyn/The AS definitely seems to want to trim down the food chain. After all, Cyn sent down a bunch of disassembly drones (we saw their corpses back in episode 6) and they were devoured by the sentinels. The main trio were essentially human shields.
The company and humans in general are a bit vague existence wise. From what we now it basically implies that the absolute solver used its vast army to screw over earth’s military. JCJenson was just a 'front' by the AS to ensure the dd clones would listen. At least that’s how I see it.
Now I have to wonder if J is in on the plan. Like. Willingly.

    • @crosana01

I don't think JCJenson was a front, after all the worker drones on Copper 9 were aware of the company being their source. If JCJenson only existed after Cyn took over that would be much too late for there to already be facilities and labs on Copper 9 created by them.

I feel like I have to reserve a lot of my judgement on the faults in episode 7 as there’s still room for it to have just been setup for a payoff in episode 8.
For instance, Uzi and Nori both went down the hole so may get to actually interact together in a way that better justifies Nori being alive. I’d love to see a sincere mother-daughter moment between them considering a lot of Uzi’s characterisation as a dysfunctional teen is built upon the backstory of believing her mother died.
Also, getting a backstory reveal as to what Tessa’s true fate had been (would lowkey love for that to be a flashback opening for the episode, seeing Tessa’s final fight against Cynn and the tragedy of her defeat + the horror of what happens to her dead body) I feel that could really help justify the twist, especially if this horrifying reveal is also used to incite a big characteristic moment for Jay! Jay’s response could lead to an epic fight scene and the emotions fuelling the scene offer a feeling of catharsis for viewers who are equally upset at the sheer injustice of Tessa’s death.
We need some sort of emotional closure for Tessa considering how the show went to so much effort to make us care about Tessa as a character and get invested in her goal to fight back against Cynn.
Personally, I feel similar to you and found it way more compelling to have not had Tessa secretly be Cynn, she added an amazing thematic conflict that genuinely left the audience torn between who to support, the characters were let off easy by not having to make a choice.
If N had killed Tessa under the genuine belief she WAS actually Tessa, that would’ve at least allowed that choice between the universe or one drone being definitively made.
Leaving the “Tessa was never really Tessa” reveal to AFTER that emotional moment wouldn’t have robbed of us seeing N making one hell of a “romantic commitment” to Uzi by choosing her over Tessa and the survival of the universe itself, as well as allowed for a moment afterwards of N dealing with the emotional consequences of believing he just killed Tessa, something Cynn could then taunt him with after she “reanimates” Tessa’s body, specifically by expressing she didn’t believe he’d ever do it. Perhaps that could’ve then further contextualise some of her motivation for having pretended to be Tessa in the first place; the ability to manipulate N.
Honestly, the level of commitment to “being” Tessa is something I hope episode 8 gives us a clearer explanation for, considering the flashback in prior episodes showing Cynn’s original insistence on NOT killing Tessa. I’d hate for it to be left this vague as to why Cynn changed her mind!
As for Doll, it’s a lot more difficult for episode 8 to be capable of “fixing” how upsettingly anticlimactic her death/character arc was, my only out-there theory could be Cynn’s fatal mistake will have been eating Yeva’s daughter, as presumably Yeva receiving the Patch means Doll actually inherited it (we don’t ever see her struggle with the Absolute Solver like Uzi does, and episode 7 made a point of showing Yeva’s patch upload status as complete and Nori’s as incomplete). But even then, unless this involved some level of Doll’s consciousness actively fighting Cynn from within Cynn’s body, it wouldn’t give her character a chance to have a more personalised final scene.
Technically we didn’t explicitly see her heart be devoured so it’s also possible she survived similar to how Nori did, but I imagine that’d come across a bit cheap unless this cheating death is justified with an actual satisfying payoff/conclusion for her character arc.
Irregardless of how the story actually plays out, I feel like the ENTIRE legacy of this series is heavily dependent on episode 8 delivering an absolute showstopper finale.
I can only hope it’s as good as it needs to be and that we don’t have to wait too long for episode 8 to release! 🤞

Im gonna have to disagree on that tessa point, while yes , losing out on the saving humanity sub plot is pretty disappointing considering the massive potential conflict between the characters it could of cause, i think tessas cyns reveal was one of the most shocking moments in the show.
From going to a minor cliffhanger character introduced in episode 3 and ignored in episode 4, we are given a extremely interesting and fun to watch character in episode 5, building the groundworks for how we expect tessa to act and her personality. Then cut to episode 6 and you can tell something is off with her, her personality is mostly the same but looking back she clearly doesnt know how a real human would act, from forgetting that her suit is meant to be protecting her to constantly saying that only a human can do this just for the thing to not work, you can tell somethings off.
Then at the start of episode 7 with her ultimate motive accidentally being revealed to Uzi she has no reason to fake positivity, instead splitting off from the group to finish what she came to do. At last when she finds uzi we get to see how cruel she really is, losing all the supposed love she had for drones, finally when given one final chance to stop lying to her only remaining friend, she chooses to instead ignore him, causing her death. All of this i feel adds to the final moment when she comes back, revealing the horrifying death of Tessa and furthermore showing just how shockingly brutal and cruel cyn is, an interesting reveal that really helped develop cyns character and her motives.
That being said tessa did not deserve this and i would be equally happy if she was still here 😔

11:13 Yagsterr, there is a little more foreshadowing hinting tesscyn . In episode 6, mentions that she’s a’human’ a lot . Like “human technology that this human can control “ and “hope I don’t human everywhere!” I feel like those aren’t very ordinary things to say. Other than this , great video!
I also have a theory that Tessa died at the gala and cyn decided that it was the best opportunity to get to copper 9 and destroy it.
Why destroy it? Well there is another creator talking about the ending of episode 7. [this idea is not mine] they state that the abyss was foreshadowed at the start of the show itself. When uzi is giving the presentation of the past on copper 9,[and her railgun] the protagonists plot arc is displayed on the screen. There is a skull on the bottom of it that’s says, in this order ,death, revaluation, abyss, rebirth. The solver wants all the planets that have the absolute solver to get destroyed, then have it rebirth. The ‘abyss’ is probably just for its hosts.
Of course these are just theories. Thank you for your time!

Literally the only plausible way the side characters could get more development (since Uzi and N have had more than enough at this point) is time shenanigans, and considering how weird the Solver's powers are, that's a possibility... But at the end of the day, it's on Vickers if we ever DO get to see the characters again once Ep 8 is finished, and it REALLY feels final... I still think the final shot will be that [3:00 AM] clock we saw in the Pilot.

    I had a thought.
We never see Tessa actually die. Like in front of a camera similar to Doll. In V’s case death was HEAVILY implied, but Tessa? Not even that. They absolutely did “Leave me behind; Save yourself.” thing with Doll and “Heroic sacrifice” thing with V. But the meatsuited Cyn is “Wolf in sheep’s clothing” which doesn’t normally mean characters death.
In fact I never thought of it myself until I saw somebody point out Tessa being skinned. I just saw a creepy robot in meatsuit. What if it was DIY skin? Or some other unfortunate soul? And even if it is Tessa’s skin, what about the rest of her?
I could see this going into the skinned Tessa with some sort of plastic-polymer-sci-fi-technomagic skin. A bit of a stretch.
Also other reviewer Tyromaniac point out the intern surviving the ordeal. What if they pull the secondary-character-becoming-important last second again? Tessa, Mitchell the intern and Dr.Chambers the research lead for scientific math + numbers (actual work position on the tag /watch?v=EOqw86OGIB0&t=48s) are the only human characters that are named and don’t die on camera or through implication. This one is an even bigger stretch though.

I know I’m late, but this episode was a blast! It was definitely worth waiting for! Also, one thing I do like is that N was willing to save Uzi after Tessa threatens to kill her. Another thing: I honestly liked the Tessa Cyn reveal because with all of the foreshadowing that happened and seeing Doll get killed by what was Tessa, I had that feeling that Tessa was just Cyn using her as a puppet. With that being said she probably didn’t survive the whole Gala Massacre or the destruction of Earth. I’m not trying to argue, that’s just my opinion. One last thing: I honestly liked where N snaps and killed Tessa to protect Uzi after realizing Tessa was not who he thought she was and threatened to kill Uzi because that’s where his character arc. Throughout the series, N has had good character development and that really is something that is rather overlooked. Trash-Nificent stated this in the comments and I have to agree. The only thing didn’t like about this episode was that one cut-away gag with N. It honestly messed with the tone of the episode. Aside from all of that, I loved this episode! It was just as good as I hoped. Another fantastic video, Yagsterr! I look forward to the next one.

Personally I don't agree with Tessa actually being Cyn to be a bad thing, it was a twist that didn't just come out of nowhere there where plenty of hints and clues that would have led you to this reveal and it's awesome going back to past episodes and rewatching old episodes feels awesome as you get some context that you didn't have before or think oh that makes sense now which is tbh really cool.
Also I don't know where Tessa being a disliked character comes from since everybody I talked to really liked Tessa for one reason or the other and I love her she's such a sweet lady, also episode 7 didn't really ruin Tessa if anything it just made her character even more tragic

11:03 To me it seemed obvious that Tessa (at least) wasn't completely human at the beginning of episode 6 when toxic air got in her suit just by picking up N. That's a big issue, but she doesn't seem to care, and does a ton of tricks and flips soon after.

This episode was full of surprises.
I feel sorry for Doll, she died a terrible death, having the desire to save not only herself, but also others, which she did in the end, trying to warn Uzi that she needed to act before she was pulverized.
In this episode, Doll was given only a couple of minutes of screentime, which wasn't enough to complete her journey. In fact, she was so simply removed from the narrative when she could still be useful and could finally complete her character arc more correctly... But Doll at least partially kept her word and, after all, she tried to help Uzi, despite the fact that she herself was dying.
We all had high hopes that J would get a lot more screentime in episode 7 than she had before, but these hopes weren't fulfilled. J literally managed to achieve less than a minute of screentime, which is very, very disappointing... It turns out that she practically doesn't play any role in this episode. It remains to continue to hold out hope until the next episode, unless J is an ally of Cyn or dies again because of the railgun. (But now she has her own merch in the form of her and the JCJenson pen).
Fortunately, Nori has a high percentage that she will stay alive, because Uzi also fell into that hole and was able to survive. I liked the character of Nori throughout the entire viewing.
It's sad to realize that Tessa has been dead all this time.. She was so small, and Cyn just killed her in cold blood to use her as her shell. We'll never see the real grown-up Tessa... She was a very sweet and good character.
What I've been able to understand relatively recently is that this dramatic "Choose the universe or one little drone" situation doesn't work even if Tessa hadn't been killed in the past. Tessa would most likely have known about the cross that could rid Uzi of Cyn. She would've used it and then she wouldn't have been going to kill Uzi, because it wouldn't have made sense and would've broken N's heart. The real Tessa definitely wouldn't want to cause him moral harm, as on the contrary Cyn was ready to do in Tessa's shell, because all Cyn needed was to get rid of the drones with the abilities of the Absolute Solver, so that there would be no other hosts like herself, because she didn't need those who would stand in her way. Cyn was just using and playing with N's feelings, trying to achieve the desired benefit.
Awesome video, Yagsterr! I have nothing more to say, because I think you've said it all. Despite all the flaws, the episode is still amazing!

I dont think i have any complaints, to me it all made sense and flowed well.
And i do disagree with your opinions on the Cyn-Tessa reveal. I didnt like her from the start and all the foreshadowing for her being… not so good fit well at the end when its revealed that she really isnt good. Furthermore, if Tessa really was Tessa, she would have stopped trying to kill Uzi if she knew about the patch and the conflict there would have disapeared.

doll's death felt extremely anti climactic. Especially how she was such an important character. Being so vital to the story at some points and being so interesting to watch. Me personally- i feel like Nori has GOT to be more relevant in the story. Like they dropped this huge bombshell on us that Nori is like... I guess alive somehow, saves Uzi and N, and then gets punted into the big hole of doom or whatever. Then Uzi goes down, but she's obviously alive, and can function. Unless Nori's heart is somehow different amd can't function in space (then L honestly), there has to be more. There's so much we still don't know about her, it would be a mistake if she was just completely cut out of the show after the mystery surrounding her was conveniently placed into the entire season. Especially since shes eluded to in like every single episode.

Tessa so deserves better. She had amazing potential and before episode 7 I defended her for a while because I believed she wasn’t a villain. But the show just threw that off the roof. I’ll admit, Tesscyn was cool as hell but when you take her motives from episode 6 and what she did early episode 7, they just don’t really make sense for Cyn

  • @Luis_AlbertoL_A

    Here my review:
-Good things: Liam remembered Lizzy and Khan, it is the darkest episode, Nori's addiction was good and Uzi's sacrifice, although it does not reach the level of V's, is still sad, apart from the fact that the battle between N and Nori vs Uzi is good, it is not as iconic as the one in ep3 in my opinion but it is fine, I am not complaining and there are some funny moments
-Meh things: N in this episode is it ok?, don't misunderstand me, it's fine, the scene where he decapitates Tessa, you don't expect it from him, it shows that he was desperate to save his friend but what bothers me is that it seems that V's death is not It affects him so much, maximum at the beginning of the episode but when he meets Nori he forgets, I think I'm not the only one who expected a more serious N or already completely destroyed and melancholic by the death of someone so important to his life and That's fine, because there have always been situations where someone friendly and innocent has those moments, as an example is Spider-Man and that was wasted potential because this is supposed to be the darkest episode of the series and they didn't take advantage of that detail.
-Bad things: Doll is only in this episode to die, after ep3 the character was so sidelined that in this conclusion it feels unsatisfying, she doesn't even have an interaction with Uzi taking into account that their mothers were involved in this and the church, look, I'm going to explain to you why putting a laboratory in the shape of a church seems stupid to me, Murder Drones is a horror and science fiction series, everything has its explanation based on science, such as the Absolute Solver is a defective AI Now we are on the same page ok, then why is there a church, yes, I know it is a laboratory but it still feels forced and this makes much less sense when you remember that scientists do not believe in religion but you see it there playing as a being priests, it's ridiculous
-Cyn Tessa: I mention this separately since I have my conflicts with this revelation, on the one hand I love it, the idea and the design is brutal. Damn, I literally use Tessa's body to infiltrate and the scenes where she appears are terrifying, but that means that Tessa was sent to the trash, a character with so much potential and charisma but in the end it turns out that she is dead and that she was Cyn all this time, which also throws away her participation in the previous episode, makes me dislike her at the same time, it is a idea that I have a love and hate for him
-In conclusion: Ep7 was good, I'm not going to deny it, but it's far from being one of the best, at least in my opinion, it really is the episode with the most mixed feelings in the entire catalog.

The fast pacing and story skipping was really disappointing me. I like how episodes 5, 6, and 7 take place right after each other. I have a theory about the flashback Cyn gives to N:
What if its a fake memory? In Episode 5 we're lead to believe that Uzi managed to unlock all of N's memories, but Cyn somehow unlocks more of them in ep7 even if she doesnt have "administrator access" to N anymore. So what i believe is that its a fake memory, or a memory of one of the many N clones, that cyn implants into him in order to make him more open to killing a certain "human" thats currently down in the cabin fever labs with him and/or his other friends. Also in said flashback theres one of the solver blackhole singularity things and its above ground and not doing anything, which also leads me into believing its a fake memory.
Though that could all be false since im not going that in-depth with my analyzing.

As many other fans say Tadc overshadowed the show but also benifit it the popularity and the funding im very eager to see the End. to be honest I don’t mind Nori and the hot take is understandable, I think people just wanted to know what happened to Nori and well we got the answers that we wanted which is Nori being alive but on Ep 8 that will be a Mystery since Uzi threw Nori into a fleshy pit of sharp teeth and bones so we will have to wait and see and secondly FINALLY someone mentioned that Doll’s death was WAY too quick and confusing, and lastly Tessa’s reveal did show hints like for example of how Tessa walked weirdly in Episode 5 Cabin fever and even she did have blood, I think why she did bleed is because maybe Cyn took over Tessa’s corpse and became a walking corpse which is why Tessa walked weirdly in Episode 5 and maybe Cyn could’ve mimic Tessa’s voice which is possible and interesting because no drone could Mimic besides in Eldritch form with the Solver, anyway great review.

My theories on how Doll can come back:
    1. Uzi kills Cyn, retrieves Doll's core, and decides wether or not to revive her using the Solver
    2. Doll is somehow still alive in core form after being eaten, and either has to wait for Cyn's death or will break out herself.
    3. Doll Clone theory ig (I ain't writing it)

0:40 That isn't Doctor Chambers. That's the intern Mitchell wearing Chambers's suit, because he accidentally put on the wrong suit.
13:40 She changes her goal after episode 3. She could have easily killed V in episode 4 by using Uzi's incident to her advantage, but her priority had shifted to finding the cure for the Solver. That's the whole reason she's looking for the Keybug and _very briefly_ working with Tessa and going to Cabin Fever Labs.

Yes and no in my opinion
Yes, since it intertwines the reason for the destruction of Copper 9, We have Nori Yeva on screen, The fights are great, There is more drama than comedy, KHANCHAD CANON, We have some of the most horrible ones that N He is psychologically tortured (As always) We have the most epic scene which is the Relief of Cyn and the decapitation of Tessa making him suffer even more (Leave my boy alone please), N:"SHE IS YOUR MOTHER AND YOU KICKED HER!" Uzi:"WHAT??"
Nori:"Im looking for a Hunk named Khan" I love that it shows that she still loves him and that she openly said that it was an irrssibility to have a daughter but they did it anyway
The bad thing is that it's a pleasure to FUCK I WANT TO SEE MORE!,the Death of DOLL, The confirmation of a VERY controversial Ship, The villain is too powerful to be defeated by "Friendship"
    But for me 11/10

Yeah, sorry buddy, but I have to disagree about the "Tessa is Cyn reveal weakened the narrative" part. The signs were literally EVERYWHERE. Episode 3-6 were laden with signs that something was off about Tessa.
-Tessa killing a worker drone for no reason upon arriving on earth
    -betraying doll immediately just because
-looking emotionless after N got bootlooped by the sentinel in ep 6
-being able to "shoot" blood out of her bite wound towards the end of ep 6
There are many more, but these are the ones at the top of my head rn.
