I love how he just cares so much about Trucks and respects other people's property, that he takes the time and closes the door, even though he had nothing to do with it!
as much as i like your restoration content, these auction and field searches for cool old school is my favorite..thx Marc..and love the commentary..you know your stuff..
In the classic at 28:54 those switches are for the cries control, an on off and set resume plus an up or down in speed, we have the same thing in the Pete in my profile pic
Thanks for your time, and do appreciate all the shows. Love seeing what you're doing with your trucks but the rest is interesting so keep it up please. Thanks again mate.
Maybe one day I'll stumble across a solid salvageable 359. I'd like to set one aside to build, I have a killer truck in mind. A 260"-266" wheelbase, high top sleeper, and an 8V-92TA backed by an 18 speed and 3.31:1 gears.
Hello Mark, Good on the hunt video, I would love to go with you and check out old trucks. But my wore out knees wouldn't let me walk to far so I just watch your great video's. Have a safe one Mark and say hello to Mrs. Twin stix for us, see you on the next one.
Haven’t watched it yet but already pressed a like… it will be a good episode… as always… now let me finish my 12 hr shift so i can watch this with a cold one in my hand 😂
not even close , i love old trucks as much as anyone but the new ones are infinitely better! especially in the last few years , they've actually gotten a lot of the problems figured out... i've put 300,000 miles on my 2021 kenworth and the only thing we've done is tires and 3 shocks ... the Apu had an alternator go out recently and my espar has given a little trouble but the truck has been perfect... oh yeah, i replaced the batteries recently too ! if i were driving my old 1992 or 1995 379 Pete's there would've been a bunch of stuff needed to be fixed in the past two years... and i'd be getting 4 less miles per gallon
The dead batteries in the Westernstars are probably the battery disconnect is shut off! It’s located beside the drivers seat right when you open the door. As far as the Kenworth steps go most passenger side steps had tool box doors in them and I’ve seen originals in all 3 position’s step to the front to the back and centered. I like them centered myself but to the back like you said is the most common. The Winch truck you said was a 10 speed is actually a 15 speed, blue splitter button an 8LL uses the same shift knob but I doubt that’s what’s in a winch truck. I love your on the hunt videos especially the salvage yard ones!!! Keep ‘em coming thanks for all you do
That truck from Elkhart Indiana is where my mom grew up, spent many summers visiting my grandmother. Love watching all the auction videos, get to see a lot of cool trucks.
That rear crank window is a cool feature, they would do that cause some guys would add and remove the bunks for different things just made it a simpler job
Call me a weirdo, but I would drive that yellow Pete389 with a big smile on my face, it looks badass, but very comfortable to clock up some high miles behind the wheel. I would be sad about how quiet it is, but that is better than driving with a headache from the drone of a loud exhaust. Credit where credit is true, it is good to see truckers still trying to make new modern trucks look cool, and whoever put the time and money in to that one, has done a great job with it
I love on the hunt videos for a few reasons one is you might get to a cold start or hear Mark get excited about an older truck. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
I would love to see a pork chop express! I know freightshaker's aren't as popular as the PACCAR trucks, but I've always liked Freightliner. FLD120 to me is the GOAT.
Looks great I drive a freight shaker with a c12 cat. Moved a 110 foot conveyor with it today. over 1 million miles, also has a crane on it so it's got 20k hours on it just running that lol. Gutless and smokey but always runs
Mark, I know the feelings that you go through when you enter the cabin on a rig, those stories the truck wants to tell you is on your mind! Its not something that one person could simply just jot down on paper or some recorder, you just have to feel it! I am going to get even more stupid than many of my long winded comments..... yeah, I am going to say that should I ever fall into enough money to wallpaper your shop inside and out ..... that I would buy some large piece of property and just build roads all over it. I would put those old rigs back to work again. I would get some of those channels you see to come over and build me roads so I could drive one of those rigs again, since I can not ever get a licence again with my health, age, and any other reason, they stop you from driving. If lucky enough, I would even have a truck stop cafe, with the shop on the side that did some roadside repairs, had a shower for the men to wash up and maybe a small tv room for the different movies that guys sat and watched/slept in the chair. Just a whole bunch of memories I have had, of when I did drive for a living. Yeah.... if you want to dream, then go big as its only a dream, that a man could relive his memories in. Since I must be crazy to even think it could happen, I would go to your place that you pick.... and have you help me pick out some of these trucks, and because of it being a auction place, buy all the equipment needed to do stuff like this is, in my dream. I have to dream Mark.... I am a dead man crawling now
That deal you saw on the shifter one of the buttons is to turn the jakes on and off and the other is to turn the cruise control on and off i hate that crap makes the shifter to clunky love watching on the hunt love looking at old iron
The school bus rock truck at the last did look familiar too we had one with a sleeper on it stolen from a truck stop in California a few years later who had it it was laying over in the ditch too you would think they would remove our name from the truck and trailer to when i got throw the accident they did have it back on its wheels why did i know it was ours yes i stop to talk to the state troops too we just had it towed to auction after we got it bad
Nice video! About the PACCAR engine in that yellow Pete: The PACCAR MX engine series are a design by PACCAR 's Euro brand, DAF Trucks. Its one of the reasons why DAF (as well as England's Leyland Trucks, which was part of DAF by the early '90s was acquired by PACCAR in 1996 (another reason is DAF's greater market reach overseas, especially Europe and Asia).
All things trucks is the way to go. Love all of your videos and look forward to every Thursday for a new release. Keep up the good work. P.s instead of porkchop express, you should look into doing yellow bird
I know nothing about big rigs but really enjoy your channel. Next time could you also include the miles or hours on the rigs. If not I understand thank you

Yeah I'm aware the blue button is a deep 15 but there was not air toggle on the dash (only the 5th wheel and diff) so I just assumed it was a 10
Hi Mark. Thanks for the tour.
I think that dump truck was old farm truck I have seen that before guys will put something like that on the back for hauling grain.
Thanks Mark on another adventure of the trucks for sale.. cool kENNY'S..
Good stuff Mark, your enthusiasm is contagious. Keep it up!
That truck from Elkhart Indiana is where my mom grew up, spent many summers visiting my grandmother. Love watching all the auction videos, get to see a lot of cool trucks.
I think the ramps on the back of the frame are for lowbed trailers with removable goosenecks
First video I saw of yours was and on the hunt. Always interesting to see what's at the auction
That rear crank window is a cool feature, they would do that cause some guys would add and remove the bunks for different things just made it a simpler job

I like seeing the older trucks. Do you ever see any Mack superliners or R models at the auctions there? Thanks for sharing.
Good video.
Without a doubt that yellow Pete was factory painted we had 4 brand new 2017 389heavy haul day cabs same color
My boss at the farm has a 358 with a 15 and a 318 that has one of those OEM glitter knobs
Debate on a newer rug is the same as on a pickup. It goes into limp mode so you can get it to the side of the road safely to wait for the wrecker
Good morning bud 👍✌️🙏
Another awesome video from you, thanks and keep them coming soon. 👍
I know nothing about big rigs but really enjoy your channel. Next time could you also include the miles or hours on the rigs. If not I understand thank you

Those stack brackets are factory kw brackets, and that freightliner is an fld severe duty
Forget Porkchop Express, you should do a "Yellow Bird" from the Dukes Christmas movie "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek"...
