Thank you souch for this video! I was watching a chinese video about these settings and thought the P1-P5 were speed likits for each pedal assist mode. Thanks to you I changed the settings and niw it works! Thanks
check the manual. i don't have a manual . you need to be clearer when explaining what each function does so we don't need a manual .if you know the voltage of battery and motor what else is there to know?
I believe they don't elaborate 'cos they don't know the answer.
All this gear is made in China there's no good English manuals and nobody truly knows what the settings really do

I was told by my dealer there is a way to make the pedal assist range go from 1-9 instead of default 1-5. It was not to get more power but to get more granular in the assist steps. Which setting changes the assist range?
This is the first time I am hearing about this, I want to know as well
Awesome video very helpful. My speed is limited to 16mph/25kmh but I don’t seem to be able to adjust it. Is there anything special you need to do to scroll through the speed settings.

hi zzz oss. i still cant find anything to up the speed past 15.5mph. tried every setting and mixed it up. the best i get leaving the lcd at 72 km/ph is 18.1 did you come across anything yet?
@@davidsanders1986 Looks like you're capped at the legal road limit by default probably
@@zzzoss3325 maybe, but in LCD settings there are options to up the speed of Pas and throttle. But changing them does nothing. It's a kt-lcd 7. Thanks for the reply.

There is a manual online. Kt lcd 7 emotoer
The one in the manual may look different but all the codes are correct. Seemingly there is not much you can do to get more speed out of just the controller. I’ll keep playing with settings, maybe if I can actually find a manual for the motor….

Hi, I bought a brand new e-bike with a 1500w rear hub motor paired with a 19.2AH 48v Panasonic battery. The KT LCD3 is the one that’s installed on the bike. I’m currently having issues with the battery readout displaying on the LCD causing my motor to shut down. When it’s fully charged I only get around 12miles (mixture of pedal assist 5 and throttle) before the battery indicator on the LCD starts to flash, but the battery itself shows 2 out of the 4 lights left being displayed. If I keep on riding the battery indicator starts to flash indicating it’s empty but there’s still juice in the battery left.. if I start pedalling the power cuts off immediately to the motor. If you could help with this issue I would be extremely grateful!
My current settings are as follow: P1-46, P2-0, P3-1, P4-0, P5-15, C1-2, C2-0, C3-8, C4-0, C5-10, C6-3, C7-0, C8-0, C9-0, C10-n, C11-0, C12-5, C13-0, C14-2
When I set mine to C7 0 the cruise control still functions, it kicks in after holding the throttle open for several seconds... it is very annoying and dangerous?
anyone happen to know what the function c15 does? I just bought this and noticed it. Offers settings of 4 5 and 6
So after the C settings I held the buttons again and L settings came up

I found this (not sure if it is correct tho)
L1 is low voltage control so 0 is default auto setting otherwise 1,2 & 3 are 20, 30 & 40v respectively.
L2 is linked to P1 setting so leave it at L2/0 for the correct calculated value.
If one had a hub with a very high gear ratio then P1 might go off the scale so L2/1 would halve the calculation so a P1 value can be used, for instance if one calculated P1 as 300 one would set P1/150 and L2/1.
L3 is for sensored or sensor less use. L3 1 is default for optimised system/sensored running . L3/0 activates non hall mode should hall/s fail.
L4 is LCD shut down timer, 5 = 5 mins, 6 = mins etc etc.

when I hold the 2 buttons to gain access to the programs. a pin code code comes up. like this _ _ _ _ is there a universal code? I've have tried 1111 2222 and 0000 but nothing happens. is there anyway around this?

I entered that menu by pressing the 2 buttons simultaneously but I can't change anything, maximum speed, wheel diameter, etc. What to do? Is editing blocked?
When you enter that menu press power key until everything stops blinking and then press up and down buttons simultaneously and hold until first menue appears
Does anyone know what undervoltage cutoff value is suitable ?
3Volts per cell?
yes 3 volts per cell in each string. so for an 48v s13 battery, the lowest cut-off voltage would be 39v. Tho i would set it a tiny bit higher such as 39.9 ot 40. so you don't ever end up draining your battery down below what ever the BMS low voltage cut-off protection level is which is usually 3 volts per cell.

I have a 3000w rear hub motor, 52v battery, every thing works, just my speedometer is not reading correctly, I have the lcdh8 display

Have you set the correct wheel size ?? ie 26" etc. Also the P1 setting changes that too, My lcd-3 P1 =46 by default which is correct for my motor but I have seen other people set it so P1 = 83, which is correct for their motor. I know if I double the P1 value ie 46 x2 = 92 then my speedo shows half the correct speed ie 40mph shows as 20mph.
try changing p2 to one. for some reason the default is 6 which doesnt work.

Do you know if kt-lcd3 working with 60v battery?
I dont think it will, i use lipos and i once put too many in and voltage didnt go past 66v even though it should have been higher. A 55.5v lipo setup will show as 63v fully charged, thats what im currently using.

Yes it does if your KT controller is a 48v, 72v or 96v version. Please note that if you intend to use a 72v battery, you will need to make sure your KT-LCD3 is a 72v version.
