That's pretty cool. I never knew what it was called? I play something like this at the end of 'Starting Over' by Chris Stapleton.
Hello Melissa, thanks again for another lesson. Love the part where you explain how to use the F chords to make changing easier and freeing your pinky to stump the song/ You hair looks great and just to mention I love the 2 guitar models on the shelf behind you. They look great. Thanks again for teaching us different songs to play.
Wonderful lesson and you play so beautifully! Thanks for the breakdown! Something so peaceful about this style of playing…makes me long for an old porch swing, lol
My pleasure, I’m glad it brought you some peace!!
It's wonderful seeing someone so young, embracing & perpetuating this legendary music. Thank you for including the musical notation, for those of us who aren't tab oriented!! Keep up your excellent work!! 🌞 🎶🎸
thank you for the lesson and the history lesson as well. Love to hear about the origins of the styles developed by these awesome people.
Great lesson. Pretty teacher.
Sounds lovely 🎸🎵
Really good lesson!
Hi Melissa. Thanks for this lesson. Do you have any suggestions for other songs to develop this bluegrass (?) technique (chords with melody) please?
Hi Melissa, you teach really well, thank you,
Nice thanks.
Maybelle Addington Carter was related to me. I didn't find out till after Johnny Cash death.
With respect, the Carter Family did not write “Wildwood Flower”. They recorded a version, using the music and almost all of the lyrics, of an older song song called “I’ll Twine ‘Mid the Ringlets” written in 1890. See Wikipedia “Wildwood Flower”. Before copyright legislation was enacted this was pretty common.
