just ordered my first last night, she's a 1/4 scale and is getting a custom faceup done, she's going to be a stand in for one of my Dungeons & Dragons characters since the character is essentially a huge 7 foot tall BJD
Unfortunately, that is a recast. However, the face-up actually looks nicer than the product pictures.

I own a few recast bjd dolls, the quality is even better than originals. The recasts companies made improvement over the design on the arms & leg joints. They can stand & articulate better without any stand. I no longer label them as recast companies but professional BJD companies.

She’s not heavy because she’s a recast, legit dolls are super heavy 🥲 mine is almost 6 kilos

@@ChelleBermudez but normal 1/3 legit dolls are usually around 2 kilos or less, mine is an Uncle sized guy so he’s like 80cm and almost 6 kilos 🥲 idk if i could handle the dude
Besides, since recasts were molded from the original legit dolls, their sizes could be different from legit dolls, too, they’re usually several milimeters smaller ( that’s a huge problem tho, ppl told me that 😂)

She looks like bigger version of minifee. But for price like that it doesn’t matter what face she got. Sometimes it’s nice to have few extra bodies & heads for experiments. Originals is like 100$ for just a head. Ain’t for make up practice

Don't worry, yellowing is normal with BJDs, and no, they don't yellow quickly. It depends if they are always exposed to sunlight or camera flashes. If taken care of properly, there will be minimal yellowing. Buy her and you won't regret
Recasts dolls yellow rlly fast, around several months or a year while legit dolls can take up to over 5 to 10 years to get yellowed, so it’s up to you to buy recasts or legits
