The police guy told me be careful we shall be arresting people who have cameras without any identity from ucc. Sorry for missing your flight anyway. Keep strong bro
Trust me its the foreigners who used to tarnish the image of our country back in the days like filming our children and making money out of it that’s why they decided to start confiscating cameras so wether you are from Uganda or not they will do it. I travel all the time so I know it’s hard but hey that’s what happens when people abuse the laws in the country.

Are you unable to rebook the flight? Call the airline or go to their airport office. I once missed an Ethiopian airlines flight and they rebooked it free for me to fly the next day. Otherwise they’ll ask you to pay a little bit more. Being unable to record is the most stupid rule. Been around a lot of airports and Uganda is the only one with that rule, I still don get it.

On personal experience, I had to Escort my mum to Entebbe airport on 9th October 2023/ it was about 8pm, that's the time we reached the check point and her flight 🛫 Nairobi to KLMwas 9pm sadly she was denied clearance coz she was late for her flight can you imagine!! An hour to the flight and your late!! She pleaded
She had to miss her flight that night coz of some irrational airport check in officer, we had to reschedule her flight two days after i.e Thursday 12/10/23. What I can say there is alot of unprofessionalism and heartless pipo at Entebbe airport
