71 is so warm! We keep our house at 68, wear sweatshirts and handknit socks, and use a blanket when on the couch.
Love how your cozy comfort throw is turning out!

When you held up your striped blanket, I looked up from my knitting at that moment and the way it was being held, I saw it as a sweater. A very nice one, in fact:) Thanks for sharing all your great projects!

We live in east central Ohio and our thermostat is set at 71 during the day and 65 at night. The thermostat is in our living room on the main floor. Our house is an open concept tri-level and the family/TV room is half underground. During the polar vortex the family room would still be 64 to 65 degrees at noon. Let me tell you that is too cold to be comfortable even with sweatshirts and afghans because sometimes you have to get up and do laundry or cook dinner. I was very grateful for our wood burning stove down in that room and a good supply of wood. I am 73 years old so my body doesn't like being cold.🙃

During the winter my thermostat is set at 72°. During the summer it is set at 76°ish. Living in the south, and my house getting the full sun it does, the system can’t keep up in the heat of the summer. It’s a brand new unit and hvac system inside and out-it’s just when it’s 100°+ 76° is about as cool as it’s going to get. Although when it’s that hot outside, the 76° is very refreshing lol

My heater is set at 60 and my AC during the summer is set at 66. Thank goodness for solar panels! We also have a window AC set to 60 in our bedroom at night during the summer. We only have 2 months of cooler weather and then it is hot for 10 months. Like you, if I lived alone, the temps would be different.

Just started onyx storm. I started the series in December and can’t believe how much I love this series.

Upstate New York here, I keep the heater at 63-65 during the day and 60-63 at night, depending on how cold it is outside.

100% layers! Keep my house at 67 during the day and 60 at night. Cold is definitely the answer ...esp. after menopause 😂
The cozy memories is looking awesome!

I'm about 45% through Onyx Storm. I agree, I do love this series. I'm not normally a fantasy fan but this is one of my favorites for sure. I used to keep my heat at 65 but it was just too cold so now we keep it at 68 and that's. not too bad. I'm always freezing but we have heated blankets on the couch and that helps.

Furnace set at 63 during the day and 59 at night. My family is not pleased, but my close to adult son came downstairs in shorts and a t-shirt of course he was cold. 🥶

We keep our thermostat at 65 in the winter. If anyone is cold, just put more clothes on and grab blankets. We wouldn't have a furnace if we set ours higher than 65 because we live in a drafty old house haha. It would constantly be running here in Northern Illinois.
Lovely catching up with you, as always.

71 is high if you live in my house. We keep ours in the mid 60s in the winter.

I am going thru that with my husband. It’s winter. It’s cold. Put a sweater on. He keeps turning the heat up when he gets home from work. I’m home all day and just add a layer. I can’t manage 67, but 69 is fine for me. Over 70 in my bedroom is too hot for my face. It’s so fun getting older.

Tshirts, hoodies, sweat pants, and socks. There is no substitute. Nice podcast today Lisa. Back to my sock knitting. I seem to get more done on Mondays. Saw a tin metal sign on Amazon the other day that said, " Knit because murder is wrong" So deliciously macabre and a nice to place to hang on the wall of my knitting space.

hahaha I looked up from knitting when you adorably looked over the top of the blanket to ask about the progress keeper and it just cracked me up like the neighbor from that one show you know? I love that blanket so much omggg. I set my heat to 67, 68 if I am really wanting to swelter lol

Hey Lisa! Oh your family of lizards would not be comfortable at my house, 65 for downstairs and 63 for upstairs, sleeping where it’s kinda cold is so nice! 63 isn’t really cold compared to where I grew up in an old farmhouse, no heat upstairs, you could see your breath some mornings. Probably why I’d rather be cold than warm. Hope your knitting brings you joy this week, thanks for another great episode!

Oooh, stayed up late enough to watch Lisa 🤪! Here in California , My heater is set to 65 during the day, sometimes it goes to 67. I feel like it’s way too hot if it’s over 69. We could hang out together in our layers!

Family of lizards LOL! I keep our thermostat set to 69 in winter, but we live in Arizona and it usually warms up during the day. I’m not sure if that makes a difference.
I’m so glad you loved Onyx Storm. I’m jealous of all the hype. I didn’t love Iron Flame, and ended up DNFing OS after about an hour of listening to my Libby loan.

Good morning! My heat is kept at 68 during the day and 65 at night. Sometimes I will turn it to 69 if I get chilly.
I was glad to hear what you said about Onyx Storm. I think I am on chapter 7, and I am already confused. I almost put it down and decided not to finish, but I think I will plow ahead. I don’t really know what’s going on some of the time and I read the first two books also. Does it get better?
