Who ever has a problem with samples (which is what phrases are) will get left behind. Its like web design. Before you needed to learn coding from a notpepad or something. But now u can drap and drop shit. Everything is about efficiency. This is why im not anti. And if u think phrases problematic then wait till ai wakes up.
Use samples or don’t use samples. Music is an art form. Do it however it makes you happy.

I thought that only with the 808s the velocity should be at the highest, but you do it with all the drums. Why is that? That it sounds better. Melody is fire bro 💯🔥
Not sure really think it’s just been a habit. It’s good with hi hats since when u need all velocities the same u can just boost em to the top

When someone buy ure beats and the engineer wants the stems of the sample separate what u do when it’s all chop and flip like that ?
The stems are at the end of the sample so wouldn’t be too bad to work out!
