Ok, I was skeptical. I LOVE the big one and this one is adorable, but I was intimidated thinking the tiny size might be difficult to shape and form for a newbie, like me. Well....FEAR NOT! Traditionally in our family, we girls do a craft project on Thanksgiving afternoon, while the men sleep off the tryptophan....and we made this wreath. So easy, so cute , so fun....LOVE this project.
These are great! Thinking they would be fast & easy to make for my ladies Bible group! Thank you so much!!! Might even make them for my 8 grandkids... oops 9... my future granddaughter-in-law!
Such a sweet ornament! So going to make these to put on a garland! I think that would be so cute. One for each of our 13 grandchildren and one for our sweet great-grand baby!
Maymay, we are our worst critics. You need to know, your ornament is also PERFECT! I can't wait to make one, tonight. Love your "hiding the knot in the ribbon" trick... brilliant ❣
This is adorbs! Was hoping you'd do a smaller one. I did your large one with 5-1/2 inch squares and my sis made one too for our crafting weekend.... then I loved it so much I tried one using 3" squares. took a lot of figuring for the middle circle and for them to all fit right.. but it's done and darling.. about 9" across. Now I will definitely do the 2" square one! Love it.. and can see it using papers with some gold foil accents. Love the idea of the template to fold it rather than scoring. Amanda's cones look so much rounder. Hum.m.m..m. wonder what she did? Maybe it's thicker paper? Love them both!
Maymay yours is just as beautiful! There is no wrong when you craft from the heart! Thank you for this adorable ornament idea. Gonna make these for gifts this year!
I absolutely love this ornament! I’ve been looking at so many glass or plastic ornaments and when I saw yours it was oh my! This is the one! Thank you! I love your tutorials1
Thank you for sharing this. I had already been experimenting with a two inch and a four inch cone wreath because I thought the original was too big to transport easily to a craft fair. Will post photos when feeling better (sick with cold).
I’m going to make this as a rag for my mother in laws Christmas gift. She keep everything I make. She flipped out 2 years ago when my husband threw her tag away.
My son made something like this when he was learning origami. Everyone liked it and wanted one, so he ended up making so many that he said he'd never make another once he was done. LoL
Please tell me what is your favorite adhesive.. I'm trying to buy the best glue for all projects.. Art Glitter Glue "vs" Retile.. Please tell me what you think. (Money is always tight)
What I picture in my head is to glue a candy cane to the back chipboard, where it's turned to the side, and that be the hanger. You could also do a bow on the candy cane. Either a real one, or a plastic one would work. I also see an easy way to make a Reindeer. The cones look like ears, so do a larger chipboard Template shape for the face, add two cone ears, some antlers, a black or red nose, some eyes... and you could glue that to a Reindeer chest and front legs even. Make the body brownish and the chest in a cream, black feet.

@@letsbecreative3725 Hello! How are you?

Oh, almost forgot - I made my template from a Hostess Cupcake box and it was perfect to be able to just fold the paper over instead of scoring.
What I picture in my head is to glue a candy cane to the back chipboard, where it's turned to the side, and that be the hanger. You could also do a bow on the candy cane. I heard, once Art Glitter Glue clogs, it always clogs.. & that might cause fustration.. Please tell me what your experience has been. Thank you..
How about a big flat bottomed jeweled put in the middle?
This is like tea bag folding. There is a fold called the kite fold
?? What size is the paper when making your template cone??
Hi you will need (12) pieces of pattern cardstock that measure 2" x2" ... here is the link to the blog post with all the measurements, thanks
I love this!
