i remember showing this to my cat 6 months ago,i remember him sniffing the screen and tapping the birds. i just found it on my favourites and it brought me to tears. its been 4 months that he's passed away now. i miss him.
My cat has been watching this video periodically since she was about three or four months old last year. I used to put it on to give her a distraction whenever I'd leave the house for long periods of time during the day. Now, I only put it on occasionally when she's being rambunctious, and it never fails to get her in front of the TV from wherever she is at the time and hold her attention, almost transfixed, for the entire 10 minutes. Sometimes she bats at the screen or runs behind the TV looking for the birds, like many others have commented. This is the best video for cats that ever was made. Thank you!!!!!
When I first came across this video it was only 2 years old I was showing it to my brand new rescue cat and he absolutely loved it to this day it's his favorite bird video to watch he will watch others but get bored within a few seconds. This video no as soon as he see the blue beginning he knows what's up and he sits there and stretches at the birds and it make him very happy and that makes me happy
This is definitely Delia's favorite video. The sound starts just a sliver before the picture comes in, and her ears immediately swivel toward the screen. She only goes up to the screen once in a while, and figures out soon enough that there ought to be more to the picture and starts looking behind the screen, but most times she'll just get comfy and stare intently. This is a great video for a cat!
+Kimberly Bilyk I'm amazed at how much Osama loves these. It's just like looking out a window for him. My boy Osama sends his love to Delia, Goldie Bear, GC and Pippin!
Still my cat's favorite video of all time! He has probably watched it hundreds of times, lol. First are the opening bird chirps. He hears that and gets excited. And I think he is attracted to how the birds waddle around on the asphalt. He loves that and when one wanders in from off screen. He has probably named them by now! If he ever has to be put to sleep I hope we can play this for him to watch. It would make things so much easier for him.
I found this video a few years ago and my cat loved it, I'd always turn it on and he'd light right up. Sadly he's passed but thank you, we loved this very much.
I played this on my 55" TV for about 10 seconds. My cat woke up from a dead sleep and sprinted up to the tv... jumped and face planted right into the screen. I laughed at him until my stomach hurt, but I had to turn it off for the sake of my television.
I used to play this for my cat all the time and she loved it. Decided to play it for another of my cats and it just reminds me of her, she passed 2 months ago and miss her xx
I have to tell ya! I have 3 cats and one of them is named Ollie Boy, he really really loved this video! He sat at my computer during the entire video, watching and touching the screen! He really was in tune with the birdies! TY for sharing this! Thumbs up... or should I say...Claws up!? Huggles from Zolwena
Zolwena Goldie Bear and GC (grey cat) send their best wishes to Zolena! I hope to do another one soon. This has been so popular, the birds now have an agent.
My Eartha Kitty thanks you for the video. She loves watching bird videos and taps at the birdies on the TV. Safe birdies and safe and entertained kitty. Win win all around. ☺
My cat was laying down about a foot away when I played this and after five minutes she walked right up to the screen and sat down trying to smell the screen for the rest if the video. She was very cute, thank you for putting this up :)
My Persian, Henrik, went crazy over this. It woke him out of a dead sleep and engaged him for the entire 14 minutes! I've never seen anything hold his attention like that.
My poor kitty can't understand that when they fly off the screen they aren't in the room somewhere haha. my dog loved it also! this is such a good idea to keep your pets happy :)
My cat jumped on the screen in the first 40 seconds then proceeded to run to the windows right behind my computer searching for the birds. She's still looking at the ceiling for signs of them. Great laugh. Thank you!
I left this on the TV screen on "repeat" at my sister's house while she was away, and I was cat-sitting for her. I went over after work, and found the cat lying on the rug in front of the TV, panting and foaming at the mouth. Everything was knocked off the TV stand, and the screen was covered in deep scratches, practically all the way through the clear screen. The cat's nails were worn down to bloody little nubs. I give this video 5/5 stars, would definitely recommend to all cat owners.
This video has been my cats' single most favorite movie ever for almost 9 years. They show no interest in any other bird video but this one. It's crazy. Please never take it down!!
Thanks. I stopped doing videos during the pandemic and UA-cam kicked me out of the money program, but my cats also want to see it every day and there's little chance I will ever take it down
TheNavid02 Not weird, blackbirds are a highly intelligent bird. The ones at my pond get almost as big as a rooster and those ones puff out so that it looks like a bigger animal.
My cat Gus loves to watch the birds. If I put in on the big screen tv he sits and watches them. When I need to keep him calm, I put it on my Kindle and he sits on it and sometimes swipes at the birds. Thank you for the videos, they are perfect for my Gus Gus!
Yes, those are grackles... you can tell by the black bills and the iridescent bluish-black head. Starlings have yellow bills, and are speckled, not completely black.
Brewer's Blackbirds. Males are iridescent black with yellow eyes, females are brownish-striped with black eyes. They are common year-round all over North America. Grackles are larger, bluer with longer tails.
Boomdamoboombry Ah ok thanks, I didn't recognize them as we don't have them here. I see the confusion as these are related to new world blackbirds, whereas I was thinking of old world blackbirds that we have here in the UK. Thanks for the info
These are mostly grackles, the very shiny ones with white eyes, and I saw a brown headed cowbird or two in there. My cat loves these videos - he looks behind the screen of my laptop to see if the birds are going to come out.
link Cats see around 100 images per second, we see about 24. Basically.... what looks like smooth film to us will look like a stuttery series of still images to a cat. Probably not enough to make it out as a film since youtube videos don't (to my knowledge) go above 60fps.
xSummerLuvinxx She/He is most likely responding to the noise instead of the images, she might be associating the noise with the images too and be trying to make sense of it, you should video your cat responding to the video, I'd be interested to see it. I'm an animal behaviourist. link No, I sent a message that for some reason got deleted to explain that cats see things faster, that's right, so they see around 100fps, sometimes a few less, and we see around 24fps, and youtube I think does a MAXIMUM of 60fps, but this is more likely to be 24fps, which would look like a very poor quality stop motion film to a cat. I'll find you a link to what the video would look like, but a heads up, you might feel a tiny bit motion sick.
Had to tap the screen a few times to indicate to my cat something was there. When she caught the drift, she was memorized by the video. Snuck up to the screen real slow lol. So good I put it on my TV and now all my cats are watching it! Such fun! Thanks for the video!
My cat sat next to me and watched closely for the first 5 minutes. Then he climbed on the keyboard to get a closer look. He checked behind to screen to make sure he couldnt get in from that way. Eventually he started pawing at the screen, and figured out my trick. Very cute! Thanks for uploading!
This video is really special to me now. I used to show it to my cat, Mimi. She would sit on my lap and slowly tap the birds. This was the only video that worked and got her interested. I meant to say 15 minutes, not 10.
Thanks. Its getting so many views, the birds are asking for a piece of the action.
This is my cat's favourite video of all time!

My cat, Dave, loved this. Very entertaining he thinks. 👍😀😽😽Thank you.
I played this on my 55" TV for about 10 seconds. My cat woke up from a dead sleep and sprinted up to the tv... jumped and face planted right into the screen. I laughed at him until my stomach hurt, but I had to turn it off for the sake of my television.

DoctaDuckroll i only fuck milfs
My cat watched the whole thing and when it finished he put his paw on replay 🐈😂😂

My cat didn't really seem to care about this video, but weirdly enough he loved the anime that I was watching before I put this video on.
This video has been my cats' single most favorite movie ever for almost 9 years. They show no interest in any other bird video but this one. It's crazy. Please never take it down!!
Thanks. I stopped doing videos during the pandemic and UA-cam kicked me out of the money program, but my cats also want to see it every day and there's little chance I will ever take it down

i did the same
No because I did the same. LOL But I DO love cats, and did have one once. I wonder how she'd respond to it were she still alive. :)
TheNavid02
This video is for cats.
You watched the video.
Therefore you are a cat.
Someone True
TheNavid02 Not weird, blackbirds are a highly intelligent bird. The ones at my pond get almost as big as a rooster and those ones puff out so that it looks like a bigger animal.
My kitten was more interested IN MY CHARGER

My cat SOPHIE loves these videos, especially the brown mouse game. She gets on the tv stand and whacks at the mice-funny.

marlene tuttle FiGHHT ME BITCH MY CAT LOVES THIS AND I LIVE IN VIAGRA
Are you sure those are blackbirds?
starlings
They are Common Grackles, a member of the blackbird family.
I don't know why but this is my favorite video on here. I just love these birds and wish they were in my next-door neighbors parking-lot.
Cat loved it. Now am considering making a playlist for her to play on the 40 inch while I'm at work.
They're not blackbirds, they look to be small crows or jackdaws?
they're called Grackles
Boomdamoboombry Ah ok thanks, I didn't recognize them as we don't have them here. I see the confusion as these are related to new world blackbirds, whereas I was thinking of old world blackbirds that we have here in the UK. Thanks for the info
tjf4375 Where I live, they're most often seen in flocks that include the European Starling. Imagine that!
Boomdamoboombry I can imagine that would be quite a sight! We get some quite amazing looking flocks of starlings here too!
These are mostly grackles, the very shiny ones with white eyes, and I saw a brown headed cowbird or two in there. My cat loves these videos - he looks behind the screen of my laptop to see if the birds are going to come out.
my cat was playing with the birds and trying to claw the screen!!
My cat loved it. Thx
I call these type of birds the "barking birds". I love their funny "mep" noise they make! hehe
Cat's won't be able to really see the video..... It'll just look like a bunch of still images to them.... But whatever.
+Zeros & Ones they aren't still images.-.
how did you get that idea?
link Cats see around 100 images per second, we see about 24. Basically.... what looks like smooth film to us will look like a stuttery series of still images to a cat. Probably not enough to make it out as a film since youtube videos don't (to my knowledge) go above 60fps.
Zeros & Ones uhm no.
cats see faster than humans, so what they see is a speedy blur, not still images.
+Zeros & Ones My cat is biting and licking the screen haha sorry what?
xSummerLuvinxx
She/He is most likely responding to the noise instead of the images, she might be associating the noise with the images too and be trying to make sense of it, you should video your cat responding to the video, I'd be interested to see it. I'm an animal behaviourist.

Our cat was fascinated. Thanks.
I have a blind cat and she loves to lay in the floor to hear the sounds of those tasty birds.
My cat LOVED the video!
My cat love this video !!
My youngest fur boy loves the fishy videos, my oldest is enthralled with this one.
