Major sandbagging operation taking place in Forbes in NSW Central West

- Residents of roughly 800 homes in Forbes, in the Central West of New South Wales, have been warned to prepare for a possible evacuation.
Preparations are taking place in the town, with a major sandbagging operation being seen.
It comes as a major flood peak is due to arrive in the town on the Lachlan River.
Well... we always have floods we always have droughts.. **IT'S JUST THAT WE HAVE THEM EVERY YEAR NOW** Did I mention historic bushfires 2019? 😋

Yep, they think responsibly about their health and will not deliberately maim themselves out of fear. That sort of thinking flows onto other parts of their life eg. not driving onto a flooded road or staying in a house that is going under.

That's good to see, seems they are more concerned about the floods than the virus seeing they are sandbagging yet no boosting to the hospitals anywhere in the country
Probably because they’re vaccinated and have moved on with life like 93 percent of the NSW population.!
If you're in a flood area...why wouldn't you just build your building higher? Am I dumb? Why not just add a couple of feet of height to everything, if it's such a drama, so that it's never a problem again?
Also, major sandbagging? There's four sandbags to a door. If that's the extent of the flooding you could almost duct tape the doors at the bottom to get the same level of protection. Seems like much ado about nothing.
In Qld in the past we built houses on stilts for this reason and also for the cool air to flow through. But people like everything easy these days.
