dBD Communications Compact Cab Kit

The Network Rail dBD Communications Compact Cab Kit offers a new level of flexibility for the user, allowing the operator to communicate with their team without the need for a headset.
The Compact Cab Kit consists of a small, high-visibility bag with an in-built speaker and a microphone, which replaces the headset.
It enables machine operators to communicate with machine controllers without the requirement of a headset. A microphone and speaker is fitted into the machine cab which comes complete with a wireless transceiver (WTX) This creates a Bluetooth link between the machine and controller headsets and can be easily transported between different machines when needed. This system is designed with Dynamic Noise Reduction built in, further enhancing the already passive noise reduction by up to 23dB.
The system is powered by a high-capacity, Li-Ion battery, and the speaker built into the kit projects communications from the controller directly into the cab of the vehicle. The In-built microphone gives the operator the ability to respond completely hands-free, although a fist microphone option is available.
By removing the headset, the operator does not experience any noise suppression, increasing the awareness of their environment and ultimately their safety.
