Neighbor Calls Police on Parrot || ViralHog

I was changing the brakes on my wife's car and had my 40-year-old parrot, Rambo, on his outside perch where he sings and talks. Sometime later four police officers showed up saying a neighbor called because she heard a woman screaming for help. I promptly introduced the officers to Rambo and we all had a good laugh. Afterward, I also introduced Rambo to the neighbor who called in the screaming. She too had a good laugh. Sometimes Rambo yells 'help, help, let me out'. Something I taught him when I was a kid and Rambo lived in a cage.

Plot twist: Rambo was mocking the actual victim trapped in the house.
😂😂😂😂
lol lol
I was thinking the same thing lmao!!
Rambo is the perfect alibi.
Or we watch porn with his parrot.
The owner posted that he's own the parrot for 40 years and taught the parrot to say "help" and "get me out" when he was younger and the parrot was in a cage. Sounds exactly what a kid/teenager would do to aggravate parents.
Melissa where was this posted?

There was a parrot in a shop down in LA back in the 90's that use to say, "Hey! You! Yeah, you! Let me outta here! LET ME OUTTA HERE!" in a Bronx accent.
Oh god haha

Parrots are unique animals...
My parrot sometimes shouts "WAGWAAN" as a greeting when people walk into the room.
And she says "ho ho ho GREEN GIANT" at the smaller not green birds
Parrots can be great comic relief.
@Jenette M it's really fun teaching them to say weird things, it takes about a week or 2 per word depending oh how easy it is and how interested the bird is in whatever you keep saying to them.

Not when they call the cops for every freaking thing. That gets annoying as hell. Especially now when a cop may shoot you for saying hello.
Nobody's saying it, but good job on the neighbor that called it in. Too many people are abused and the bystander effect takes over and nobody does anything to try to get victims help. This was a totally benign situation that was easily explained to cops without problem, but it could have saved a person's life had it been something serious.

It's not always the bystander effect. I've literally tried to help a woman getting beaten by her boyfriend only to have them BOTH jump on me. After a while, you just stay out of it unless they're asking for help, and even then it's probably better to just call the police and let them deal with it (unless someone is being beaten to death or something).

How do you know that the parrot wasn't keeping the woman trapped in the basement?
I had a friend who would babysit a parrot because it did the exact same thing. I didn’t believe her until I stayed with her one night while she was watching the bird. The emotion in its voice when it screamed, “let me out” was so real it sounded just like someone in dire need of help. That bird could boogie too! It sang and danced like Prince. Amazing animal.
Do you have any idea what kind of parrot it was? Some of them can mimic far better than others especially lorikeets and African grays p
@@RabidNemoif I'm not mistaken crows can do it too but I'm not sure how good they are. Birds are so cool to have if you're ready for that commitment.... and your kids after you.

Wow it was that good at mimicking? That's awesome.
For a while I used to hear some crazy laughter from my neighbours when I was a kid. Turned out to be their parrot. That bird could cuss yes
Between the barking dog and the screaming parrot, I’m certain his neighbors love him.
You can hear "Let me out" at the beginning.
yeah, that was creepy!
He was taught" Help! Let me out " since he was 1 yr old when he wants to get out of the cage.. He is 40 now and still doing it even when his out of the cage.
@Amr Khaledd No, but there is an interview with the owner and that parrot often times sits outside while the owner is busy and says words or phrase that he was taught with. I do have 2 cockatiels and the male one annoys my cat by calling her name over and over again.

I adopted a Macaw who screamed and swore like a sailor. He fooled a lot of people.
