I end up talking in all sorts of tones with students, now that I have a little pet, the variety of tones I use is even more varied. Since we can't be there in person, we're probably all being more animated than normal. I'd say having a variety in tone is better than monotone! The tone of your comment is really rude. You should practice being nicer. Make sure you're not talking like that to your students as well!
Steven, I listened to this, and I think I am using the same voice with my zoom students. I guess it depends on your teaching style. I also have certifications in elementary education, so I suppose that influences my teaching style.
