A very successful aboriginal friend of mine was taken and fostered with a white couple. She had contact with her parents if she wanted. She says being fostered was the best thing that happened to her.

Working with our Indigenous people allowed finding out that at least several, were thankful for having been cared for by caring families. "Rabbit Proof Fence" seems like a good story gone bad because of what this report reveals and that makes it a misleading one, in its present guise. An actual true story would of been far more educational value and honestly recognising the real people involved.

I actually had to google who he was. Honestly, most actors/directors/entertainers are far left in their mindset.
An example of their hypocrisy is when immigrants were taken to Martha’s Vineyard and suddenly their ‘all welcome’ virtue signaling was non existent.

The film Rabbit Proof Fence produced by Phillip Noyce was incorrect One aboriginal girl fostered by white couple was near death suffering from neglect malnutrition abuse hookworm They finally adopted and educated her which advancing her successfully in the world On returning to her home base for visit she was fussed over adoringly by the people who had neglected and ignored her because she had a car and signs of wealth. which she would not have had from her family. She gladly recognised the difference of what had happened to her from white family as opposed to her black family

I don't know Phillip Noyes and had to google this name. He seems to want to persuade Australians that he knows best. To suggest that anyone who doesn't vote "YES" to the voice, we the people aren't fully understanding of the voice. How can any Australian without knowing the full facts of the bill, agree to vote yes. Unless Albosleezy releases comprehensive information on the voice, any Australian will vote "NO" regardless of Albosleezy's bribery words and stating anyone voting no are racists. This is a Prime Minister whose begging for a yes vote.
    I'M VOTING NO!!!!!

My mother told me this story a few times over the years and I know she was traumatised or horrified by it. You can google the hospital to check. My mother had my brother in the Bethesda Salvation Army Hospital in Sydney in the 60's. Across from my mother's room was a ward with multiple beds. My mother watched nurses take babies into the ward, the mothers would breast feed the baby and then have them immediately taken away for adoption. The crying and sobbing disturbed my mother as my brother was in a bassinet in her room. My mother asked a nurse why the babies were being taken away. The nurse replied, "They are unmarried mothers. They breast feed their babies as punishment for having a child out of wedlock, then the baby is removed for adoption." At this time in the 1960's the families would have condoned this because the embarrassment to the family was more important than the daughter and child. The attitudes of people in positions of power reflected those attitudes of the community. You could say that these white children are a stolen generation. This in my view is so wrong. But I can't change history. I find it very offensive that people use the past and embellish it through a censoring media, to leverage demands in the present day. We all have some trauma in our lives, that is what life is. But no one living today is responsible for the past in anyway. Get over it. If you keep demanding that other people do things to make you happy, then chances are you will never be satisfied.

Here’s something about Noyce you might not be aware of Ironic I was just reading about Noyce. I looked for the documentary but couldn’t find it , presumably because the medical claims would be frowned upon by today’s medical “experts “ ..
This is from the Sydney morning herald
    “Doctor prevented infant mortality”
    March 17, 2012 -
Archie Kalokerinos, son of a Greek cafe owner, with plenty of brains and a medical degree, bounced around the world getting experience - not settling to surgery, trying general practice - until a problem came to his attention which was to preoccupy him for the rest of his life.
That was the plight of the Aboriginal people, in particular the impossibly high infant mortality rate he encountered in regional NSW. In one Aboriginal community every second Aboriginal infant was dying. Kalokerinos adopted a radical ''counter intuitive'' therapy - boosting the immune system - and brought the infant mortality rate there down to zero. He embraced preventative medicine, particularly in the beneficial use of vitamin C. Some of Kalokerinos's theories were controversial, but he had some powerful support. The dual Nobel-prize winner Linus Pauling, in the foreword to Kalokerinos's book Every Second Child, endorsed his views. In 1975, film director Phillip Noyce produced a documentary on him and Aboriginal healthcare entitled, God Only knows Why, But it Works. It was claimed that a ''Schindler's List'' could be drawn up, of children he had saved and their offspring. “….
Where is this documentary??? Hidden in the medical censorship vault ??
