2:48 » 😆😆😆 // I can't see why people hate Jerry so much, I'm always laughing at him 🤣🤣
you should definitely watch Bojack horseman
I highly recommend watching Cowboy Bebop for an anime. I'm sure I won't be the last one to do so.
if you want him to watch anime at least recommend a good one as his first to hook him up
@@akkimessiah3219 nice to know you have no taste
9:57 » that was genius 🤣🤣🤣
I'm definitely biased as it's probably my favorite but I recommend Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood as a good jumping in point for anime. It's short (64 episodes), well written/animated, very character driven and has a famously good English dub. I think you'd probably enjoy it quite a bit.
I've never gotten into Attack on Titan but I think it would also be a good show to start with because I've heard really nothing but good things about it and I believe it's going to be getting its final season this fall and would probably get a lot more views than other anime you could watch as a result. Although it's not impossible that this could also make editing these episodes into a format you could put them on UA-cam even harder than usual for anime.
A few considerations for doing anime reactions in general are that:
1) Japan has famously strong intellectual property laws and the companies that own these properties tend to aggressively defend them.
2) With some anime there is serious disagreement within their fan communities about which language they should be best enjoyed in although most of the big names have either acceptable or very good English dubs.
3) Some popular anime are VERY long. Naruto has 500 episodes, Bleach has 366 episodes, Dragon Ball 153 episodes continues to Dragon Ball Z with 291 episodes into Dragon Ball Super which is ongoing and One Piece (also ongoing) is up to 1063 episodes as of this writing to give a few examples.
4) In addition to being long some anime contain a lot of filler episodes (usually due to differences in production between the source material and the show). There is of course some debate on which episodes of which shows are filler and whether the filler episodes are worth watching.
yes to all that, I would recommend Death Note as a good introduction to anime in addition to Attack on Titan.
Most anime are around 12 episodes. Fmab is short compared to incredibly long shows I guess, lmao
@@Xanderj89 You're absolutely right, there are a ton of great anime substantially shorter than FMAB and it's quite probably above average in length.
I'll take the L on this one and say I should've called it "reasonably short" or "manageable" or something.
I was mostly just trying to point out that there's a substantial commitment difference between doing something like Death Note or FMAB and something like Naruto since someone unfamiliar with anime may not know the scale of that difference.
What happened to you man? :( hope you’re ok.. we miss you
11:55 (±) » that's what I love about the show: if you don't wanna _"get any of that"_ (ba dum tss), you can just sit, watch and have fun. but... it is also a great show to sit to watch and get the references and also the dynamics to reflect on them a little bit, 'cause they're really interesting to do a reverse-engeneering on the script
6:16 (±) » this little cut of the ep always cracks me up, that parody of animes with the characters interacting on another show 😂🤣😂
It's Evangelion with a go-G not a gin-G. The voice over might be a reference, because the final episodes of NGE are famously existential inner monologues.
This is maybe my least favourite episode of Rick and Morty but It's still entertaining
Worse than 5x4 rickdependence spray? Idk, I can't personally see an episode getting lower than that 😂
samurai champloo
No new expanse videos for a second week :(
The Expanse was Seasons 2 and 3, with 1 necessary for context. Very much diminishing returns after that.
Don't know if my previous comment is posted or lost to the nether.
I think you might like Death Note; it's about a high school student who can kill whomever he likes however he wants. Besides the ethics of it, eventually it turns into a detective game between the police trying to track him down and him trying to keep his identity secret with whatever means necessary
he already named death note in the video, but thanks for spoiling him about the story
@@akkimessiah3219 you never read the descriptions on netflix or the back of a book before buying it? I think i was pretty vague
@@onetom2222 no. I don' want to be spoiled. Your comment will not make him want to watch it more. There's only negative points to posting this
Deathnote is great until a certain point then it gets kinda shit.
Naruto, even if it's popular, is not very good. It's the kind of anime you watch after watching the good ones. The best anime in that genre of fighting anime is Hunter x Hunter. But as a first anime Death Note and Attack on Titan are way better
Naruto is okay and palatable. HunterxHunter is like level 8 of memes and an acquired taste. It's not all that great. It's also why not many have watched it, similar to JoJo's
@@onetom2222 I would say that HxH is the anime you watch when you are sick of fighting anime, it's a breath of fresh air in the genre. Naruto is a reaction nightmare(See Blind Wave's channel) as the pacing is terrible and it's too long.
Roiland and Harmon don't seem to be getting the Linehan treatment....
The what?
Harmon kinda got the Liam Neeson treatment, he came out and apologised and the writer he harassed very publicly accepted his apology. Roiland has kinda had that treatment though.
@@liddad Ah ok thanks for the explanation, never heard that before.
@@liddad Yeah I meant on this channel.
If you do anime, it’s gotta be attack on titan :) can’t wait for you to get back to actually good episodes of this show next week!
And yet I still wanna know what's up with that cat more than I want to know what you mix with bay leaves and lemon
