When you select the user you can see the ellipsis(⋮) symbol at the end of the row. From there you can manage user activities(Contributor, administrator, reader)

Thank you. Just chcking, the email addresses that the invites are sent to, they need to be Microsoft Account email addresses too, yes? In other words, only people who has Microsoft Account can be part of a project?

No. The email address can be of any provider.

@@WebGentle Wow, thank you so much for such a prompt reply. The thing is, when I clicked on the 'join now' button in the invite email, it redirected me to the Microsoft Login page where I must login with a microsoft account. If I enter the email address which the invite was sent to, it was not able to recognise it and asked me to create a MS account. However, when the invite was sent, I could see in Azure AD that the uesr of that email address was created as guest - 'Invited User'.

Ok. So there are two things now.
1. Microsoft account
2. Azure DevOps account.
If you will login in azure devops portal then you will have similar type of experience as you have with Microsoft account. But it is not required to have a Microsoft account for Azure DevOps.
