Collaboration works only for a single performer trying out how to blend with 2 or 3 voices from other contestants to find out if the singer knows how to "blend" or do blending such as doing parts of a soprano 1, soprano 2, alto 1, and alto 2. for girls and tenor 1&2, and Bass 1&2 for guys. The other collaboration contestants did that with other performers. Mica was complete, no need to try and blend them together because they were blending already and have shown the Korean People how the sisters can blend and shift roles in their voices. It would be chaotic for someone to fit in a group that has it all and I would FAIL the judges in music for not recognizing that. MICA should have been exempted from that round and was made to perform as a group, the MICA sisters of 4 voices, 4 heavenly voices that has captured many hearts including the composer of Frozen' theme, "Let it Go". May I repeat, they were 4 voices already and it would be unfair to add a mutant voice into that song. If Mica was a TRIO, adding a 4th voice would have been alright, but the 5th voice was what ruined their rendition of I'll be there" starting from the beginning of the song number where that very 5th voice "quirk" at 0:15 and trying to outdo some solo portions where a Mica member was obviously better at. If there was anybody not harmonizing with the group, it was that Korean singer and it was not MICA's fault but the Judges who was responsible for placing her.
They got into Top8 or Top6 if i remember correctly. And no koreans do want other people to join the contest but since its a “korean” audition, judges want people to sing korean songs since the viewers are mostly Koreans

yeah i believe MIKA will be picked up again amongst those who lost at the end of this round;; the judge said that one of the big reasons for them losing was that korean girl screwing up at 0:15 so she's definiitely out but MIKA did great so its not too early to say they dropped out

They are good it's just that the judges are insecure in their voice and also I think they are not listening to the voice but looking on their face if they are beautiful..They just only care in Korean people and their looks not their talent..

Although they had two main vocals because the other solo joined in, they made it work really well!~ And the song choice was a great one too! Which means MICA + Hyunmi was still MICA, whereas the others showed how their rock and rap could create something else. I have no problem whatsoever with MICA and Hyunmi's performance-rather enjoyed it- but I would've chosen the same as the judges.

The Challenge was very stupid in my opinion because of the way they were match together and why do they have to be both eliminated if they dont work well together??...Also why the hell would they put a soloist who has a strong voice that can be a main vocalist and add her to a group that has a main vocalist already... obviously they will have some sort of a clash... I prefer MICA's main vocalist better than the girl they added... I also dont get it how the judges likes their performance and yet eliminates them.. =O
I agree! I remember during K2, When Roy Kim and Jung Joon Young had a colab, that guy at the center reminded both of them that it's a colab however, it's still a competition. Now where's the essence? Just beyond 3/4 of the performance was like.. absolute perfection. But I could kind of hear the messiness towards the end - like too many dominating vocals at the same time. If the challenge is to be in harmony then that part would be the only fault but mashing together a group and a soloist - it may be expected. I think it'd be absolutely amazing if they can do a 4th impact rendition of this on X Factor UK - I think Almira's whistle note would blow the audience away on top of everything else.

Ging Atazar Every single one of those girls you mentioned is a much better vocalist. Most of Mica just has false "power" with little to zero diction which makes them almost incomprehensible. When they sing, it's just extremely over exaggerating with very little actual skill. Their range is mediocre. They have an exaggerated underdeveloped vibrato which just sounds outright irritating. Compare it to say, Ailee's performances on Immortal Song 2, and you'll hear a world of difference between someone who is truly skilled, and MICA.
Those girls are professionals singers who received proper training before debuting. During live shows they had backup vocals and voice enhancers on their microphones. Im not belittleling their talent but these four, wherever they perform, are just pure voice. Its rare these days esp watching korean live shows.
