SOG Cross-border mission in Laos
Two Recon Teams from the Studies and Observations Group, RT Colorado and RT Hawaii, are fighting for their survival in the jungle of Laos, January 29, 1971. RT Hawaii is currently holding their own, but RT Colorado is in big trouble. The small RT is under attack by the NVA, and in imminent danger of being overrun.
RT Colorado consists of Pat Mitchel as the 1-0 (Team leader), Lyn St. Laurent, David “Lurch” Mixter, and five Indigenous troops.
David “Lurch” Mixter was killed during this mission. He was nicknamed "Lurch" because of his large size, after the butler in the Addams Family TV series. He is now listed as Killed in action / Body not recovered.
This audio was recorded by a Huey pilot. I have not been able to identify him. If you have any information, please let me know.
