Your cruise ship docked at the vibrant port of Heraklion, not Chania. Heraklion, the largest city and capital of Crete, is centrally located on the island's north shore. In contrast, Chania lies 150 km to the west, on Crete's western side. You began your day exploring the ancient wonders of Knossos, just 3 km south of Heraklion. Afterward, you journeyed eastward, traveling 60 km to the picturesque city of Agios Nikolaos.
