I know right, it's awesome. I found it myself about a week ago, and was stunned to find very little info about it on UA-cam. I've been waiting for someone I'm subbed to, to make a video about it.
You know in Linux (really I mean X etc), you can select a piece of text and immediately paste it using the middle mouse button. You don't have to do COPY+PASTE. Much easier - it'll even paste into a window that isn't currently in focus.
This may be a LONG SHOT for a video that's a year old, but is there ANYTHING similar to this on Windows for QEMU? Everything I've found so far is for getting this to work under Linux distros and none of it matches up with what I'm seeing under the QtEmu GUI that I managed to find. I would love to know if there is or isn't a way (and whether I'm wasting my time with QEMU under Windows 11). Thank you.
I run quickemu on a vm in proxmox, I can deploy Mac OS newest one, but after I start the machine nothing happens only blank window. I think, I have to install spice Window Manger. I tried a few commands to install spice, but only error messages. It would be great you can short explain what I have to do, to fix this issue. Thanks. Your Videos are all great.
Thanks mate for the explanation. I am new to this stuff only used virtualbox in Past. Question; Which OS for host is suitable that is a lightweight and can run quickemu? Like ubuntu as a host itself consumes heaps of resources already
Does audio work in MacOs? I'm blind and need to use a screen reader like Voiceover. Most solutions for virtualizing MacOS or otherwise running it on non-crapple hardware seem to have problems with audio. Can anyone confirm if it works? Does pressing command F5 result in speech during install (or at least once booted into the installed OS)? Thanks.
Tried it and it did not work for me. Too many dependencies that I could not find or install. It would not compile and I could not find a binary. Let us know when this changes.
How did they manage to distribute proprietary images, like MacOS and Windows without getting sued? Also especially with MacOS as their license prohibits their OS to be installed on a non-mac hardware... I know this is a hot topic on both VirtualBox and VMWare forums where no one dares mentioning this is possible... So what gives?
as far as im aware, they are not directly distributing them, rather they download it from the source itself. they just give you an easy way to do it :)
how can i change qemu default hardware configurations? i tried to edit .sh file on the OS containing folder but by default it always take half of my hardware config :( any suggestion?
Unfortunately this doesn't work for me. With a fresh and fully updated Ubuntu install, the QuickGUI still crashes. "Quickemu has closed unexpectedly". Real shame. Hoping it works soon.
@@MartinWimpress Interesting. Could the install script be adjusted to use whatever modification that Rufus and Ventoy does so that they'd be able to bypass all of Win11's requirements? Or do you guys already have a different solution in mind?

I don't think Apple cares too much as they make their money on hardware not software. This is just promotes it in hopes to encourage new people to buy the actual Mac. As for Windows you can download it from Microsoft for free and it will run in limited mode. Some features will be disabled but it's just enough to test it out.
Thanks for the nice review ! We're going to look at that problem you had with the buttons !
Thanks very much for taking the time to showcase the project we've been working on in recent weeks 🙂 Delighted to hear it works well for you 👍

any info on the internet about how to configure a gpu passthrough?Thx
This is very cool. Weirdly, Windows 11 guest install (with Arch-based host) doesn't work when I tried it, but I'd chalk it to Win11 being so new.
It's actually because Windows 11 requires Secure Boot and the EDK2 firmware package in Arch Linux doesn't provided a full Secure Boot implementation.
