Another excellent video. Love the commentary and explanations on things as you go along. Makes for a very interesting and informative video with you sharing things you are thinking and considering while you operate the truck. Thank you for posting!
check out the "Quick Knob" made in Buffalo NY for your steering wheel. attaches with a small ratchet so you can take it between vehicles easily. Available with a few knob/color options, highly recommend it 👍
I just started with my city as a front loader and I’ll say you have a Cadillac compared to what we have , also we move a lot faster and do between 10 -14 hour shifts it’s not bad work just pay is the only thing I wish was better
@@WxlfAppleA allows you to drive semi’s but to haul doubles you need your A double but honestly CDL class B is more common than A and much easier to get

@@NZRubbishTrucksTruth, although the Republic Services yard I hired out of just brought in two guys that just got their CDL. Luck of the draw I guess. I have almost four years of OTR semi truck experience but hadn’t sat in a garbage truck since a driver let me when I was a kid 😂 They hired me and it’s been a blast. Guess it just depends on the company, the yard, and your charisma/enthusiasm

love the videos, what route software do you guys use by chance?
Don't say a push button is a pain when you don't properly tie your boots.
Hey what's good what CDL you got A or B?
Just curious that's all!
CDL Class B is good but getting a Class A is better.

Is it easy to be a Garbage Truck Driver or you have to have experience
It's not that hard to drive one depending on what truck you are driving but most sanitation companies prefer to hires those with experience.
